The great thing about Texas Governor Greg Abbott is that he doesn’t make baseless threats: he will sue, and his Attorney General, Ken Paxton, is simpatico. In fact, Paxton already sued China Joe over one of his illegal immigration orders

Texas Governor Vows To Sue Biden Over Climate Change Orders

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the state is ready to sue the the Biden administration over new environmental regulations, signing an executive order against what he described as “regulatory overreach” by the federal government one day after President Joe Biden unveiled a sweeping order on climate change.

Biden has taken swift action on climate change: he’s directed the U.S. to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord, revoked permits for the Keystone XL Pipeline, told federal agencies to review the Trump administration’s environmental rollbacks and signed an executive order Wednesday with a range of climate-related measures.

The executive order includes a directive to freeze oil and gas leasing on federal land, which the oil industry and even some Texas Democrats have heavily opposed.

Abbott said at a press conference that Texas will pursue a “litigation strategy to fight back against any efforts by the Biden administration” that threatens the energy sector or its jobs.

Abbott’s executive order directs state agencies to “use all lawful powers and tools” to oppose federal actions they believe threaten the state’s energy industry—including “identify[ing] potential litigation”—and criticizes Biden’s measures as showing “extreme hostility toward the energy industry.”

The governor described the order as a “homework assignment” for agencies and said he would fire officials who do not follow it.

Abbott went on to point out that Texas is largely not affected, since Los Federales do not own that much land. Almost 3 million acres is owned by the federal government, but, that’s only 1.8% of Texas, and a lot of that is borderland and military bases. Abbott sued Obama 31 times when he was attorney general, and more while governor. And, many of those Obama enviro/climate crazy executive orders/rules were killed or put on hold by the courts. Because they went too far. Because they had no statutory authority. This should get fun.

CNN: Congress Is In Total War, And It’s All Trump’s Fault

This “analysis” piece, as in, it’s total opinion, is the top story on CNN at the moment, so, not actual news is #1. Surprise? It also looks like CNN just can’t give up on Trump Derangement Syndrome, but, then, that’s a lot easier than explaining why Joe is blowing off wearing a mask and, oh, yeah, destroying American jobs

Trump’s legacy of mistrust sends Congress into total war

Former President Donald Trump may be gone from the White House but his legacy of catastrophic mistrust is poisoning Washington, dimming hopes of a unified effort to crush the pandemic before mutant viral strains take root.

Nine days after newly sworn-in President Joe Biden told America that “every disagreement doesn’t have to be a cause for total war,” recriminations between the parties and the Republican meltdown are consuming Congress.

It’s now clear that the January 6 mob attack on Capitol Hill, while failing in its bid to reverse Trump’s election loss, has utterly fractured the basic level of trust needed to make a political system function — at a critical national moment.

In the quarter century of bitter political battles since former speaker Newt Gingrich’s Republican revolution, Washington has never been this inflamed.

At times on Thursday, it appeared that the whole of Congress was fixated on its own civil wars, cut off from behind its high iron fence from the reality of America’s darkest modern winter.

Interesting. Democrats have been at total war since Bush was elected with the backdrop of Clinton’s impeachment, and CNN had zero problem with the invective launched at Bush, Dick Cheney, and the whole administration. Condi Rice, a black woman, was treated disgustingly. Barack Obama did a very good job at dividing us, especially since he was so untrustworthy. He would negotiate in good faith, then renege and/or demand more. That’s what led to the big shutdown. We’ve seen Democrats go Category 5 Moonbat since Trump won election, willing to go to war on everything, but, hey, now that Republicans are being the dissenters, and willing to fight CNN has an issue.

Oh, hey, perhaps attempting to impeach then convict a guy no longer in office, a quixotic attempt when they know they can’t get 67 votes, isn’t helping. I’m sure there are lots of examples of Dems starting it you can offer, right?

And with more than 432,000 Americans dead from Covid-19 and the economy in ruins, hopes are fading — amid the acrimony — of a bipartisan effort to beef up the crucial vaccine drive.

Remember how Democrats held off on doing a second big stimulus for almost eight months because they wanted to hurt Trump, and couldn’t have cared less about the American people?

The magnitude of that death toll has much to do with Trump’s neglect when he was in office. The tumultuous forces now rocking Capitol Hill are, in most cases, linked to Trump or the extremism of his acolytes who have fully bought into his alternative reality that rejected truth and democracy itself.

Told you this was opinion. I don’t think it was Trump putting COVID patients in nursing homes, etc and so forth. You know this all.

In another sign of the toxicity paralyzing Congress, House Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York lashed out at Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who had appeared to agree with her on the need for an investigation probing chaos on Wall Street. The New York Democrat, who has said she felt her life was in danger during the insurrection, tweeted that “you almost had me murdered.” Just before a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol, Cruz had objected to the certification of Arizona’s electoral votes, embracing the baseless allegations from Trump of an improper election.

Strangely, no words of admonition from CNN for AOC going unhinged. (as usual)

The pandemonium on Capitol Hill contrasts with the methodical calm that now prevails at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue just over a week into Biden’s presidency.

That’s right, CNN is fan-boying. I’ll stop on this big of lapdog.

China Joe Once Again Blows Off His Own Mask Requirement

Here in North Carolina we are required to wear a mask at all times in our own places of work, even in separate offices. But, NC is not D.C., right (thank God)? The order from the mayor says at all times. Just like Joe’s order!

(Breitbart) President Joe Biden on Thursday abandoned his precedent of wearing a mask in the Oval Office as he signed executive actions on health care.

“Since we are socially distanced, I think I can take my mask off and make this very brief announcement,” Biden said after reporters entered the Oval Office.

The president spoke to reporters for about three minutes as he signed executive actions, clearing his throat and even coughing into his hand at one point.

Good News: Pentagon Has Gone Full On Climate Cult

Protecting the United States? Projecting power? Deterring other nations from getting frisky with our people, public and private entities, and sovereignty? Pfft! We have some climate cult virtue signaling to do (along with other SJW garbage like letting people with mental health issues, ie, transgenders, around military grade weapons)!

Pentagon declares climate change a ‘national security issue’

The Pentagon will now consider climate change when planning war games and will incorporate the issue into its future National Defense Strategy, according to a Wednesday announcement.

“There is little about what the [Defense] Department does to defend the American people that is not affected by climate change. It is a national security issue, and we must treat it as such,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a statement.

“The Department will immediately take appropriate policy actions to prioritize climate change considerations in our activities and risk assessments, to mitigate this driver of insecurity.”

OK, so, Austin, along with the high end leadership of the military, will immediately forgo all use of fossil fueled vehicles, planes, ships, and helicopters, right? You aren’t running the military without massive amounts of fossil fuels. Seriously, when the Elites have problems with their big yachts, do they want the Coast Guard coming to save them in sail boats?

Austin announced the change after President Biden earlier on Wednesday signed a series of executive orders aimed at addressing the climate crisis.

The shift means the Department of Defense (DOD) will now “include the security implications of climate change in our risk analyses, strategy development, and planning guidance,” according to Austin.

Great, turning our national defense into a joke. I wonder what’s next, demanding that all members and recruits proclaim their allegiance to ‘climate change’, or they’re not allowed in?

Democrats have long wanted to destroy the U.S. military, since the 1970’s. They couldn’t defund it, so they infiltrated it, plus did things like the ‘climate change’ schtick.

Biden DHS Warns Of Scary People Daring To Protest Being Locked Down

We’re at the one week mark, and Biden’s Department Of Homeland Security is already making moves to turn average Americans engaged in Wrongthink as domestic terrorists. Should this be concerning for the future? Will the federal government and state government’s ramp up their attacks using the legal system and other systems to take away the Constitutional Rights of those people?

DHS warns of heightened risk posed by domestic violent extremists

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Wednesday warned the U.S. may face heightened threats from “ideologically-motivated violent extremists” in the wake of President Biden’s inauguration.

DHS warned that domestic violent extremists (DVEs) would continue to express opposition to COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 election results and “other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives.”

“DHS is concerned these same drivers to violence will remain through early 2021 and some DVEs may be emboldened by the January 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. to target elected officials and government facilities,” the agency wrote in a bulletin, using shorthand for domestic violent extremists.

The bulletin was issued by acting Homeland Security Secretary David Pekoske, as Biden’s pick to lead the agency, former Deputy Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, has seen his nomination stall in the Senate.

The bulletin, which will be in place until April 30, is the lowest-level type of advisory issued by the department, warning of general trends rather than specific credible threats.

99.9% of the COVID protests were peaceful, unlike 99.9% of the BLM/Antifa protests. There was one incident of protesting the 2020 elections that got a bit violent, most of it was peaceful. Other grievances? Perhaps DHS should take a look at the 1st Amendment. But, DHS barely mentioned BLM and Antifa, which specifically use violent methods. BLM even says it: “no justice no peace”. That’s a call for violence. Much like under Obama, the apparatus of the federal government will be used for significant partisan activities. If DHS mentions you by name, you can kiss your job goodbye, and no one will hire you. And, perhaps Government will find creative ways to go after you

Seriously, the state of New York is going after a Florida resident (I remember this guy from Twitter, till he got the ban hammer) over a meme (more on this at Twitchy). If someone is to stupid to understand you can’t vote by text, they shouldn’t vote, eh? But, this flies squarely in the face of the 1st Amendment, and New York’s Article I Section 8. But, Vaughn will have to spend himself into oblivion to defend himself. It’s too bad one cannot simply appeal directly to the Supreme Court on such a blindly obvious Constitutional violation.

Climate Czar John Kerry Says Oil Workers Should Learn To Code

John Kerry, whose family owns multiple homes, multiple fossil fueled vehicles, and even their own private jet, and doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to give up his own use of fossil fuels, has some words for oil workers

Senator Cruz, like most of the people losing their jobs, was not amused

(Fox News) Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, ripped Biden climate czar and former Secretary of State John Kerry on “Fox News Primetime” Wednesday over what Cruz described as degrading comments about blue-collar workers whose jobs were abruptly cut when President Biden canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline permit.

At a White House press conference earlier Wednesday, Kerry claimed industrial and energy sector workers are victims of a “false narrative” based in Trump-era economic policy.

“They have been fed the notion that somehow dealing with climate is coming at their expense,” Kerry said. “No, it’s not. What is happening to them is happening because of other market forces are already taking place.”

“It is not a unifying message, and it is not doing the job we should be doing [in] fighting for working men and women in this country,” said Cruz. (snip)

“What an arrogant, out-of-touch statement for a centimillionaire to say,” Cruz shot back. “You know, ‘You little people, you know, I don’t like the choices you’re making, and so your jobs go away,’ as John Kerry said right there. Quelle surprise that the Democratic elites have decided that blue-collar workers, that union members, that men and women with calluses on their hands, they’ve made the wrong choices, in John Kerry’s words.”

“I’ve asked multiple Biden nominees what they would say to the union workers who just lost their jobs because Joe Biden decided they didn’t deserve a job,” Cruz told host Maria Bartiromo. “And essentially nominee after nominee after nominee has said, ‘Well, tough luck.'”

It’s nice when Government decides to destroy jobs for their Beliefs, eh? The same people who do not have to worry about their own jobs, about losing their income and homes and cars. People who live a cushy lifestyle on the taxpayer dime. And we are only entering week two of the China Joe administration.

Let’s also not forget how much of the solar panel industry comes from China.

Bummer: COVID Is Just Very Inconvenient To China Joe’s Agenda

I’m sure we’ve all noted that the Credentialed Media is no longer letting us know about COVID related deaths and infections to the degree they were before January 20th. The news is not a lead thing on television, and bottom of the page/page 2 news in the papers. Because it totally wasn’t used as a political tool, right? And it is just so inconvenient for Joe (who wouldn’t have been elected without it)

The Memo: Biden faces risks as COVID optimism stalls

The wave of optimism that followed the approval of the first COVID-19 vaccines is receding — and that could spell trouble for President Biden.

Let’s not forget which president spearheaded the operation to get the vaccines in record time. His name ain’t China Joe.

U.S. deaths from the virus hit 80,000 in January, making it the nation’s deadliest month. And new strains are worrying scientists, including a mutation emanating from the United Kingdom that is more contagious, and potentially more deadly, than those previously seen.

On Wednesday, the new head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, said total U.S. deaths from the virus will hit around 500,000 on Feb. 20 based on the current trajectory. More than 425,000 people have died so far.

There have also been problems with the rollout of vaccinations, with state-level officials complaining that they are not getting clarity on how many shots will be available at any given time.

While the new administration has been in power for just one week and cannot reasonably be blamed for many of the current issues, the problems are reverberating in the economy — posing a sizable political risk to Biden.

Joe said he Had A Plan

(NY Post) A few days ago, President Biden gave a speech on the “American Rescue Plan.” In it, he admitted “the crisis is only deepening. It’s not getting better; it’s deepening.” He also finally stated that “there’s nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months.” So no magic plan.

If you say you have a plan, you should have a plan. Joe has no plan

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the broader-based S&P 500 each fell by more than 2 percent on Wednesday, the latter having its worst day since October, as the Federal Reserve left interest rates near zero.

Retail sales have been below expectations for the past two months. The latest monthly employment report showed the nation experienced a net job loss for the first time in eight months in December.

Any further deterioration could sap Biden’s political capital with abrupt speed.

Well, the market probably doesn’t appreciate the job and capital killing policies of China Joe. But, this is all just so bothersome for Joe’s agenda of implementing Modern Socialism. He’s pretty good at killing jobs, not so good at doing anything other than more of the same when it comes to COVID.

Will the same media blast Joe for not really doing anything, especially when the economy starts going down?

Biden to sign executive order on climate change

President Joe Biden is set to take a series of actions on climate change on his seventh full day in office, fulfilling campaign promises such as freezing new oil and gas leasing on federal land and kicking off his ambitious agenda to reduce greenhouse gas emissions — making tackling climate change a priority across the federal government.

Biden’s actions Wednesday will follow up on several climate-related executive orders he signed in his first few days in office, including rejoining the Paris Agreement on climate, and revoking the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.

In addition to Biden’s domestic policy priorities on climate, the order would set climate change as a key consideration for U.S. national security and foreign policy. (snip)

Wednesday’s executive order will start the process for the U.S. to determine its new, more ambitious goal for how much to reduce carbon emissions alongside Biden’s goal for a net-zero carbon economy by 2050 — a goal meant to be even loftier than those laid out in the Paris Agreement.

A key component of Biden’s climate agenda has been to create clean energy jobs, with particular focus on manufacturing electric, zero-emissions vehicles. One of Wednesday’s orders would direct the federal government to purchase these types of vehicles for the government’s enormous fleet, and requires they be made in America.

Good news! Gas will go up, the cost of living will go up, and your taxes will have to go up to pay for replacing huge numbers of federal vehicles with EVs.

Biden will also announce that the U.S. will host an international climate summit on Earth Day this year, April 22, and task former Secretary of State John Kerry with “enhanced climate ambition” to increase the U.S. commitment and push other countries to reduce carbon dioxide emissions even more in the fight against climate change. Kerry in his position as special presidential envoy for climate will sit on the National Security Council.

So, upwards of, if we go by the UNIPCC COPS (climate change conferences), roughly 10k people taking fossil fueled trips, including on fossil fueled airplanes and private jets? Huh. But, see, China Joe will fight the climate crisis (scam) like no other President!

Biden Plans To Fight Climate Change Like No US President Has Done Before

Joe Biden is preparing to deal with climate change in a way no U.S. president has done before – by mobilizing his entire administration to take on the challenge from every angle in a strategic, integrated way.

The strategy is evident in the people Biden has chosen for his Cabinet and senior leadership roles: Most have track records for incorporating climate change concerns into a wide range of policies, and they have experience partnering across agencies and levels of government.

Those skills are crucial, because slowing climate change will require a comprehensive and coordinated “all hands on deck” approach.

On one hand this is correct: he will do more than others. But, like the rest, he won’t practice what he preaches in his own life.
