LetsGoBrandon To Join Striking Auto Workers On Picket Line

I wonder how all those striking Hollywood writers feel about Biden blowing them off

Biden to join the picket line in UAW strike

President Joe Biden will travel to Michigan to join the picket line of auto workers on strike nationwide, he said on Friday afternoon.

“Tuesday, I’ll go to Michigan to join the picket line and stand in solidarity with the men and women of UAW as they fight for a fair share of the value they helped create,” Biden wrote on X, the platform previously known as Twitter.

Here’s the question: does Joe know this? Because you know he did not write the tweet. Someone on his staff did, and was certainly directed by Joe’s handlers. Joe may be surprised as all heck come Tuesday.

His decision to stand alongside the striking workers represents perhaps the most significant display of union solidarity ever by a sitting president. Biden’s announcement comes a week after he expressed solidarity with the UAW and said he “understand[s] the workers’ frustration.”

The announcement of his trip was seen as a seismic moment within certain segments of the labor community. “Pretty hard-core,” said one union adviser, who spoke anonymously because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

The president’s plans come as some Democrats have begun to question his response to the strike, recognizing that he needs the full backing of union workers in his presidential reelection bid.

Let’s not forget that part of the strike is due to Biden’s economic mismanagement with inflation and his push for EVs, eroding wages and being a need for fewer workers to make the EVs.

Former President Donald Trump also has plans to visit Michigan next week. Despite backlash from Fain, the leading candidate in the Republican presidential primary will visit current and former workers next Wednesday — the same day his competitors in the field take the debate stage in California. A person familiar with Trump’s plans said that he is “unlikely to go to the picket line” but that such a stop “has not been ruled in or out.”

Jason Miller, a spokesperson for Trump, criticized Biden’s decision to go to Detroit in his own post on X.

“The only reason Biden is going to Michigan on Tuesday is because President Trump announced he is going on Wednesday,” Miller wrote.

This should be interesting.

AP Notices The Debate On Governmental Force On Climate Crisis (scam) Goals

This article is rather surprising: it’s rare that the Credentialed Media rarely notices the authoritarianism inherent in the climate cult system. Of course, they do not seem too concerned with instituting Fascism

Governments and individuals debate: Are mandates needed to reach climate change targets?

Governments, organizations and businesses have set ambitious goals to combat climate change. But it is far from clear that those goals can be met without forcing people to do — or not do — certain things.

And that is causing some consternation, even among some people who acknowledge the need to slow the warming of the planet.

This week, New Jersey has gone into more detail about its climate change goals, including its proposed ban on the sale of new gasoline-powered vehicles by 2035, and a push to “decarbonize” public and private buildings by switching from natural gas to electric heating and appliances.

Shawn LaTourette, New Jersey’s environmental protection commissioner, hesitates to use the word “mandate” in describing the state’s plans.

“There are interests out there that tune into the narrative of heavy-handed government forcing people to do things,” he said. “That is not what is happening.”

Except, that is exactly what they’re doing. If you are stopping people from being able to purchase certain items, if you’re saying they will soon only be able to buy an EV (though, a goodly chunk won’t be able to afford them), that’s heavy handed governmental force. If you’re telling them they cannot eat certain things, telling them they can only fly once in a blue moon, that they should take the train or bus, that they should live in tiny homes, and all the other stuff, that’s force. These people think they are dictators, that they can lord over the very people who vote and that the elected officials, and bureaucrats, are supposed to be responsible to.

Anjuli Ramos, New Jersey director of the Sierra Club, agreed that meeting climate goals requires urgent action. But she said New Jersey’s steps are “not really a mandate.”

“This is us transitioning to where the market is already going,” she said. “It’s not like the car police are going to go up and down the street taking away every gasoline-powered vehicle.”

If government is deciding for the people, well, that’s a mandate. It’s naked governmental force. Period.

Guy Constantly Surrounded By People With Weapons Most Can’t Own Creates Office For Gun Control

In quite a few states and cities, mostly run by Democrats, you cannot own, buy, or possess many of the weapons that those protecting Joe Biden carry. Nor the magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. And, certainly, not fully automatic weapons for most. Or many of the sniper rifles. But, Biden is happy to try and disarm you law abiding citizens looking to protect yourself from the crime enabled by Democratic Party policies

Joe Biden Announces Executive Office to ‘Intensify’ Gun Control Push

While announcing the launch of the executive Office of Gun Violence Prevention, President Joe Biden pledged to use the office to “centralize, accelerate, and intensify” his administration’s gun control push.

Biden noted that he has chosen Vice President Kamala Harris to oversee the office.

report by the Washington Post makes clear coordination in the office is expected between the “White House, the Community Justice Action Fund and Everytown for Gun Safety.”

After Biden announced the launch of the new office on Friday, he then called for an “assault weapons” ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, and universal background checks. He also called for Congress to take action for more gun restrictions then he pledged to use the office to “centralize, accelerate, and intensify” his administration’s gun control push.

We all know that universal background checks is meant really to make it so every purchase is registered, so the government knows exactly what you have. A federal judge in California just ruled again against banning magazines that hold more than 10. Assault rifles? The GOP is going to once again miss the opportunity to make a stand and vote on legislation that would ban Joe’s protective detail from carrying anything other than semi-automatic hunting rifles. If it’s good enough for the People, it should be good enough for Joe. We do not have kings, we do not have an aristocracy that is above the Citizens of the U.S.

Of course, with Kamala in charge, this whole thing will be completely mismanaged, just like the border.

GenZ Youts Want More Climate Action Or Something

Would these be the same ones taking lots of fossil fueled trips to take selfies and do TikToks? Using huge amounts of energy streaming everything? Constantly ordering delivery? Wearing lots of fast fashion? Having to always get the latest iPhone, shipped from China?

Gen Zers turn up the heat on President Biden. They want climate action, not words

climate doom is nigh!

Xiye Bastida’s fate was sealed when she stood knee-deep in flood waters in San Pedro Tultepec, Mexico.

Just 13 years old at the time, she saw her neighbors trying to get water out of their homes and storefronts. She saw crops being flooded. She witnessed contamination in the water that spilled over from the Lerma River.

“This paralyzed me for a long time,” Bastida said.

It turned her into an environmental activist, like her parents.

Bastida, now a 21-year-old University of Pennsylvania student, marched through the streets of New York City along with some 75,000 other activists on Sunday to demand the end of fossil fuels. She was also a part of the Climate Ambition Summit youth delegation convened by United Nations’ secretary general, António Guterres

How did she travel to NYC? Nice grift, though

To Bastida, Biden’s absence was one more indication that he’s out of step with many young Americans when it comes to climate change. Many Gen Zers, those born after 1996, said they feel they are being asked to grab the reins and demand that leaders take action, when it should be the other way around.

Why can’t they all simply practice what they preach if they’re so concerned? Why is it that climate cultists always want to force their beliefs, which they do not practice, on Everyone Else? Along those lines, this is simply non-shocking

Washington D.C. is the No. 1 place in the U.S. for taking climate change seriously

A recent J.D. Power report shared exclusively with CNBC Make It ranked 48 states and the District of Columbia on how serious the issue of climate change is on a scale of zero to four, with zero being “there is no climate change” and four being, “climate change is very serious.”

Well, obviously in the place they can exert their power and tax citizens they take it seriously. Except for that most who are trying to tax people and control their lives refuse to act like it’s a crisis in their own lives.

NY Governor Signs Cheat By Mail Bill, Is Immediately Sued As Violating NY Constitution

When do Democrats worry about following any sort of Constitution?

Gov. Hochul signs law expanding early mail-in voting in New York state

Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a bill Wednesday opening up the state’s early voting period to include mail-in balloting, prompting an immediate legal challenge from Republicans who said the measure was unconstitutional.

The law, which takes effect immediately, would expand New York’s mail voting regime beyond absentee ballots — which are limited to a select group of New Yorkers, including people who are ill or staying somewhere outside the county they’re registered to vote.

Hochul said the law would strengthen New York’s democratic systems and make it easier for people with packed schedules to fulfill their civic responsibility.

Packed schedules? Going out to take selfies and do TikToks is not a packed schedule. Nor is going out to party. American citizens have gone to the polls for hundreds of years despite their own schedules. Isn’t this why states implemented early voting? That gives people more than enough days to go to the voting site

New York Republicans responded with a complaint, filed in Albany Supreme Court on Wednesday, that asserted the law violated provisions of the state Constitution.

The suit cited Article 2 of the Constitution, which says the Legislature can create an absentee balloting path for voters who are not able to vote on Election Day.

“Kathy Hochul and extreme New York Democrats are trying to destroy what is left of election integrity in New York,” U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, a Trump-aligned upstate Republican and plaintiff in the suit, said in a statement.

Her office asserted that the change to the state’s mail-in voting system required a constitutional amendment.

The lawsuit was filed immediately upon Hochul signing it, and, it does violate the Constitution, as absentee ballots are only for voters with a medical or physical disability or proof they’ll be out of their county of residence or New York City on Election Day. They aren’t for everyone. Per the NY Constitution. Article 2 Section 2

The legislature may, by general law, provide a manner in which, and the time and place at which, qualified voters who, on the occurrence of any election, may be absent from the county of their residence or, if residents of the city of New York, from the city, and qualified voters who, on the occurrence of any election, may be unable to appear personally at the polling place because of illness or physical disability, may vote and for the return and canvass of their votes.

Pretty clear, eh? Of course, will the Democrat controlled NY State Supreme Court vote rule appropriately, or, do what leftists always do?

Biden Unveils American Climate Cult Corps

This is supposedly about training for jobs, but, it will end up being cult indoctrination, creating a whole bunch of new “activists” hell bent on telling Other People how to live their lives, and agitating for government to force those Other People to live the cult life

Biden is unveiling the American Climate Corps, a program with echoes of the New Deal

The White House on Wednesday unveiled a new climate jobs training program that it says could put 20,000 people to work in its first year on projects like restoring land, improving communities’ resilience to natural disasters and deploying clean energy.

The American Climate Corps is modeled after a program that put millions to work during the Great Depression. President Biden’s climate policy adviser Ali Zaidi told reporters that the program has broader goals beyond addressing the climate crisis.

Is it really wise to compare anything during this poor Biden economy to the Great Depression?

“We’re opening up pathways to good-paying careers, lifetimes of being involved in the work of making our communities more fair, more sustainable, more resilient,” Zaidi said.

The program will pay participants, and most positions will not require previous experience. The administration is also proposing new regulations aimed at making it easier for participants to enter the federal public service after the program.

Is this authorized by the duly elected Legislative Branch? No, it is not, so, he has no authority to create it, and damned sure no authority to spend money and pay people.

Democratic lawmakers including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., had pushed for more funding for the climate corps program, but that did not transpire, meaning the program is likely to be smaller in scope than early proposals.

And, like Biden, they are huge climahypocrites. They’re also giving away their power to the Executive Branch, and should remember that a Republican president can kill this program with the stroke of a pen.

There is another key difference, too. While the Conservation Corps primarily employed young, white men, the White House says that the American Climate Corps is designed to attract participants from disadvantaged communities disproportionately impacted by the changing climate.

Hmm, this is sounding more like a money giveaway to people for votes.

Illegal Alien Loving Governor Of New York Wants Illegals To Go Elsewhere

As I keep writing, Democrats didn’t vote for this, they voted for unfettered illegal immigration for Somewhere Else

Gov. Kathy Hochul has message for migrants looking to come to New York: ‘Go somewhere else’

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul seemingly changed her tune on the migrant crisis Thursday, remarking during a CNN appearance, “If you’re going to leave your country, go somewhere else.”

“We have to let the word out that when you come to New York, you’re not going to have more hotel rooms,” Hochul said. “We don’t have capacity, so we have to also message properly.”

“The smarter thing is to apply for asylum before you leave your country,” the governor added.

The notable shift comes after the Democrat previously touted New York’s sanctuary status.

During her appearance on CNN, Hochul said she would support New York’s “right to shelter” law being recalled or rescinded amid the migrant crisis because it was originally intended to address homeless men on the streets experiencing AIDS, and then it was expanded to apply to families.

The governor said it was never meant to ensure “an unlimited, universal right or obligation on the city to have to house literally the entire world.”

Supporting mass illegal immigration and people demanding asylum (but most won’t get it so they disappear into the country) is super easy when it’s Somewhere Else. Proclaiming your state is a sanctuary is super easy when Other People have to deal with the fallout. Talking about how great illegals are is super easy when Someone Else has to pay for it.

Hochul said during her CNN appearance she had to be certain not to support a policy that can draw more people because places like New York “really are at capacity.”

“We have large hearts. You want to be generous and supportive to people who are experiencing humanitarian crisis, but there is a limit to what we can do,” the governor said.

New York has received a pittance of what the border states have dealt with. Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis should send a whole bunch to NY’s capital, Albany. Suddenly Dems having to deal with the outcome of their beliefs are backtracking.

Young Women Turning Metal Songs Into Feminist Anthems (or something?)

I’m a person who listens to all sorts of rock, from soft like Christopher Cross to country style like Jimmy Buffett and the Eagles to Southern rock to straight rock to acid rock to hard rock to metal. New Wave, punk, you name it, I listen to artists from all those genres of rock. My favorite band of all time is Rush. I listen to some country, some folk (I love Arlo Guthrie), some classical. Even some newer pop stuff. I mostly avoid Today’s (s)Hit Music, rap and hip hop. I also avoid some rock where they’ve sold out. But, I truly love metal. All types. So, I find this interesting

‘Dancing femininely is the most metal thing’: the young women turning Slipknot into feminist anthems

Not Slipknot

At first listen, a song with violent and sexual imagery seems like an unlikely anthem for women who dressed up to see the Barbie movie. But many on TikTok are claiming Custer, by the nu metal band Slipknot, as a feminist anthem.

In TikTok videos, “girly pop” creators who celebrate dressing up, doing their makeup, and enjoying the fluffiness of girlhood are twerking along to the loud and aggressive metal track.

The videos are part thirst trap, part protest, as the women move provocatively to the music. Videos that use the song have been viewed over 94m times on TikTok, and the new popularity has hit Spotify, too, where Custer has over 166m streams, making it one of the band’s five most-played tracks.

Mash-up videos pair the song with the Macarena, or Barbie Girl, Aqua’s 1997 dance-pop hit, to add to the girlish irreverence. Nu metal may have long been associated with lonely young white men, but these songs of alienation and depression have since become beloved by gen Z fans of all kinds.

Let’s be clear on something: metal is a look, not an attitude. For those of you old enough to remember early Punk, they would tell you that Punk was an attitude, not a look. Most metal fans just love the music. It’s not who they are. You wouldn’t recognize a goodly chunk of the metal artists on the street. It’s just fun. It’s not about anger, depression, lonely young white men, etc. And you’ll find that metal fans tend to listen to a wide variety of music. The question on the young women who are doing this to Custer (good song) is “do they like the music, or is this just a fad, like so much of TikTok?” I’m hoping it them liking the song, because maybe then the youngsters will start listening to real music, not this corporate produced garbage.

“We’ve been called ‘posers’, ‘pick me’s’, ‘thots’ and ‘hoes’,” Blossom and Nela, the two sisters who make up the Miami-based indie band ELAZ, told the Guardian. “Women who present themselves in a hyper-feminine manner while enjoying alternative music are often targeted with hate.”

So in March, the sisters danced around their practice space while blasting the song Custer, their moves less moshing and more Miley Cyrus. It was a message to male gatekeepers that they posted on TikTok: girls can like Slipknot, too.

No one said they couldn’t. Women are more than welcome into the metal “fraternity”. Probably the biggest metal show in the world is by Jackie Kajzer, who hosts Full Metal Jackie, which I listen to all the time on iHeart Radio. She’s very well respected in the metal world. But, you know what? I’ll tolerate this kind of GenZ attitude if it gets them to listen to real music.

Kyra Robinson, a 23-year-old from Newcastle, UK, loves metal shows. She’s usually found moshing in the pit. While watching Slipknot headline this year’s Download festival, Robinson and friends found themselves further back in the crowd. They had room to film a dance video, so the three women threw their hands in the air, swaying their hips side to side with the beat. Though Slipknot did not play Custer that night, Robinson later posted a TikTok with the song playing over their moves.

Good for her and her friends. Unfortunately, metal has largely been something that not that many women listen to, but, they are more than welcome. I’ve been to Judas Priest shows where there are lots of women and Dream Theater where it is mostly guys.

The sisters say what matters more is the amount of women who are making their own TikToks and feel free to express themselves. As they put it: “It’s important for girls and women to feel seen in the metal scene so that they can fully embrace their love for the music without feeling like outsiders.”

I hope they all attend concerts and listen to tons of metal over the decades, since really the first, true metal album, Black Sabbath’s self titled album released in 1970. If doing TikToks gets them into real music, go for it. Also, women have been dancing to metal since the 70’s.
