Notice that the global anomoly is -.007C. With most of the Earths landmass where there are weather gauges being in what used to be traditionally called “summer.” DC used to be much hotter back in the 1930’s when few had fossil fueled vehicles and CO2 was under 350ppm.

I wonder if next week will be what global warming looks likes, as temps from the hearland to the east coast will be at or below average? We’ve been told that charging your iPhone causes the weather to be hot and cold. Will it also cause average?

Obama’s Weekly Address: Unintentionally Blames Self For Crummy Economic Conditions

And, of course, he’s taking total credit for what was a truly bipartisan piece of legislation

(White House) Hi, everybody. I’m here in Ohio, where I’ve spent the past couple days talking with folks about our central challenge as a country – not just reclaiming all the jobs lost to the recession, but reclaiming the economic security that so many Americans have lost over the last decade.

Let’s think about that: over the past decade, Obama has been president for 3 1/2 years. He was a junior Senator who was supposed to be getting Bill Clinton coffee for 6 of those years. Democrats controlled the Senate for 5 of those years. Democrats had full control of Congress during his first two of being President. So Obama just unintentionally blamed himself and Democrats for the poor economic conditions and poor economic security.

First, it will keep thousands of construction workers on the job rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure.

Wasn’t that what the Stimulus was supposed to do? Darn, I forgot that the projects weren’t “shovel ready” and that the money was wasted on repaving roads that didn’t need it and painting bridges.

For months, I’ve been calling on Congress to reform and expand the financial aid that’s offered to students. I’ve been asking them to help us give two million Americans the opportunity to learn the skills that businesses in their area are looking for – right now – through partnerships between community colleges and employers. In America, a higher education cannot be a luxury reserved for just a privileged few. It’s an economic necessity that every American family should be able to afford.

What the hell has he been smoking? “Privileged few”? People of all stripes and income levels go to college. And have been amassing huge levels of debt to enter Obama’s jobs market where there are no jobs.

Team Obama Attempts To Deflect Jobs Report To Romney

Typically pathetic

(Daily Caller) Gov. Mitt Romney quickly dismissed today’s effort by President Barack Obama’s campaign to downplay the bad news in the June jobs-report issued by the Bureau of Labor Statistics at 8.30 a.m.

Obama’s chief strategist, David Axelrod, tweeted out a diversion at 9:01 a.m. that showcased a June 2006 video of Massachusetts Governor Romney saying that a new executive’s policies can’t lower the unemployment rate immediately.

But Romney used his 10:00 a.m. press event to refute the video, telling reporters that Obama’s “policies have not worked… over four years.”

An unemployment rate that has remained for “forty-one months above 8 percent pretty much defines lack of success,” Romney said in response to a reporter’s shouted question about the video after the press secretary had announced the event was over.

Obviously, when Obama’s had well over 3 years to Do Something it can’t possibly be his fault that the jobs report stinks. And has been stinking. The man takes responsibility for nothing that happens under his watch thanks to his policies, such as they are.

10 Ways Obama Is Killing The American Economy

The websites of Alex Jones can often be a beehive of conspiracy theories, and were the favorites of liberals who bought into the whole 9/11 Truth derangement. However, mixed between the conspiracy stories, some of which are legitimate, there are some great stories. Like this one

Have you ever heard the old saying “the beatings will continue until morale improves”? According to Wikipedia, that phrase is often “used sarcastically to indicate the counterproductive nature of such punishment or excessive control over subordinates such as staff in the workplace or children living at home.” Well, apparently Barack Obama believes that the more punishment that he inflicts on the U.S. economy the more we will like him.

What other explanation is there for his insane economic policies? The truth is that Barack Obama is killing jobs in America. His regulations are absolutely crippling our businesses, he has been heavily promoting new job killing “free trade” agreements, Obamacare has the potential to be the most job killing law of all time, and he is running up debt that will crush job creation in this country for ages to come. Obama will likely go down as the most anti-business president in U.S. history. He has presided over the worst “recovery” from a recession in post-World War II history, and under his leadership a whole host of economic statistics have steadily gotten worse. The percentage of working age Americans that have jobshas not bounced back since the end of the last recession, and now the next major economic crisis is rapidly approaching.

I’d recommend reading the details for each one as for the rationale. You can certainly add a few, such as creating a hyper-partisan blame and slime condition on Capital Hill. But, these really are the top 10. But, I will add two more:

Executive Branch over-reach: on a constant basis we find that executive branch agencies continuously go beyond their Congressional mandates, taking power for themselves. Under Obama, we see the EPA, the BLM, and a host of other alphabet soup agencies act well beyond what their duties are without response to the legislative branch.

Creating uncertainty: Obama creates uncertainty within the private marketplace by continuously pushing policies that leave businesses wondering just what will happen. This dovetails into taxes, free trade, wasting money, regulations, and Obamacare, among others.

Bummer: Climate Change Stalls Reef Growth

(Time) A study published Thursday says our coral reefs could be in danger. Toth and her co-writers say in the study that El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) caused reef ecosystems in the tropical eastern pacific to collapse thousands of years ago, and pollution combined with global warming changes could now repeat the process. The sea temperature changes associated with El Niños are the main cause for the coral reefs dying off from bleaching.

Around 4000 years ago reef growth began to shut down. The collapse lasted about 2500 years. Scientists came to this conclusion after analyzing coral reefs on Panama’s Pacific coast. They inspected cross-sections of the reefs using radiocarbon dating and mass spectrometry techniques to find the “hiatus” in the reef’s growth, as it was described in the report. Coral reefs in Japan and Australia experienced similar hiatuses in growth. Scientists believe that the widespread distribution of the hiatus suggests that it was caused by historical changes in ENSO.

(MSNBC) Coral reefs along Panama’s Pacific coast completely collapsed for 2,500 years due to natural climate cycles, researchers reported in a study Thursday, adding that there’s a lesson in the data for man-made climate change: ease up on greenhouse gasses and reefs will restore themselves.

(Phys.org) Climate change drove coral reefs to a total ecosystem collapse lasting thousands of years, according to a paper published this week in Science. The paper shows how natural climatic shifts stopped reef growth in the eastern Pacific for 2,500 years. The reef shutdown, which began 4,000 years ago, corresponds to a period of dramatic swings in the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO). “As humans continue to pump greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the climate is once again on the threshold of a new regime, with dire consequences for reef ecosystems unless we get control of climate change,” said coauthor Richard Aronson, a biology professor at Florida Institute of Technology.

Notice that in each and every story, and you can find more (study is here behind paywall), says that “hey, this was all natural” but “this could be happening now!!!!!!!” Say, what happened around 4,000 years ago?

Admin Which Just Invoked Executive Privilege Compares Romney To Nixon

Funny stuff from David Axelrod

(CBS News) The Obama campaign is sharpening its attack on Mitt Romney’s personal business and financial dealings.

In an interview with CBS Radio News on the sidelines of an Obama campaign rally Thursday evening in Parma, Ohio, senior campaign adviser David Axelrod called Romney, “the most secretive candidate we’ve seen probably since Richard Nixon.”

Last time I checked, those personal business and financial dealings were….personal.

Axelrod accused Romney of “trying to turn back the clock” on transparency by 40 years. The veteran Obama adviser criticized Romney for failing to release “a full set of (tax) returns like most candidates.”

We’re still waiting for Obama to release his full medical records and all his transcripts from his college days, along with his papers.

It’s no wonder Axelrod has transparency and Nixon on the brain, considering

  • Obama just invoked executive privilege over Fast and Furious
  • Obama blamed Nixon for placing the NOAA in the Commerce Dept.
  • Obama has Nixon-like enemies list
  • He’s rather thin skinned and obsessive over people who criticize him, like Nixon
  • He uses the IRS against political enemies, like Nixon
  • He’s trying to hide the leaks, like Nixon
  • Transparency? Whatisthat?
  • He accepted a transparency award….behind closed doors.
  • His is possibly the worst when it comes to responding to freedom of information act requests
  • He whines about secret money on the GOP side but not about on his own side

The list goes on and on.

The Romney campaign issued a swift response.

“With millions of Americans suffering in the Obama economy, it’s no surprise that President Obama and his allies would resort to false, negative attacks in an attempt to distract Americans from the President’s abysmal record,” campaign spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg told CBS Radio News.

None of us should be surprised by the attacks from the Obama administration on Romney in a personal way: they do have a record to run on, and it is pretty bad and quite unpopular.

North Sea Seagulls Love Globull Warming!

Obviously, we should have a problem with this, because, according to Warmist doctrine, the Earth is a static ecosphere that should never ever change

(Phys.org) Scientists have shown that climate change has resulted in winners as well as losers with a study revealing that lesser black-backed gulls are booming in the North Sea.

The warming water has created an abundance of swimming crabs that are picked off by the greedy gulls. The experts have identified that the arrival of a new warm water species – Henslow’s swimming crab, Polybius henslowii – might by an important crustacean in the cycle.

It spends more time swimming at the surface that any other species, and the crab has colonised the North Sea as it has warmed by 1 degree C since the mid 1980s. That level of warming is four times faster than the global average.

Well, good for the gulls, their number are expanding. Because nature happens. Always has, always will. Thins change. Warmists do not like that, so they want massive taxes and control over Other People.

Um, and if warming is global, why would one place warm faster than another place?

Restaurant Investigated For Offering Church Members Discounts

This is un-freaking-believable….or maybe not so unbelievable in today’s America. Todd Starnes reports

(Fox News) A family-owned restaurant in Pennsylvania is under a state discrimination investigation for offering a ten percent discount for diners who present a church bulletin on Sundays.

The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission confirmed there is an investigation against Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen in the town of Columbia. The complaint was filed by John Wolff, a retired electrical engineer.

He said this not out of spite, but out of a feeling against the prevailing self-righteousness that stems from religion, particular in Lancaster County,” Wolff told the York Daily Record. “I don’t consider it an earth-shaking affair, but in this area in particular, we seem to have so many self-righteous religious people, so it just annoys me.”

So, don’t go there if you don’t like it. It’s a private business. They aren’t telling anyone they can’t eat there. The owners plan to fight this, and are pretty upset with the state for actually investigating. They’ve had the state and the Freedom From Religion Foundation (which always seems to get in people’s private business) telling the restaurant to give everyone the discount. The owners told them to go pound sand.

One of the owners makes a good point

She wondered if their other discounts might be considered discriminatory —like the one on Tuesday night –where kids under 12 get to eat free. Or what about the senior discount?

“Could someone under 65 complain?” she asked.

I’m sure they could, but since it isn’t about some jerk having a fit over religion, it’d be ignored.
