NY Daily News: July 4th Is The Perfect Time To….Bash Trump

And in doing so, bash the tens of millions of Americans who support many Trump ideals, if not Trump himself. Liberals have a hard time showing actual patriotism

The Founders & the fraud

We hold this truth to be self-evident on the nation’s 240th birthday: In character and vision, Donald Trump clashes with the timeless wisdom of America’s Founding Fathers.

Trump , the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, vows to deport millions of undocumented immigrants, choke off legal immigration and bar all refugees from war-torn Syria. His gut called for closing the door to all Muslims.

George Washington wrote:

“The bosom of America is open to receive not only the Opulent and respected Stranger, but the oppressed and persecuted of all Nations and Religions; whom we shall welcome to a participation of all our rights and privileges.”

Of course, Washington was talking about people coming to the national legally, people who would then become part of our great melting pot (a phrase coined much later). We are a generous nation. What we do not want are people coming to our shores illegally or overstaying their visas. Nor do we want the illegals and legals to come here and demand that we change for them, that they get to practice their own laws and we must conform to their laws and mores.

Trump rouses supporters by railing that powerful forces have crippled America while proclaiming that he alone can restore the nation’s lost glory: “I will give you everything. I will give you what you’ve been looking for 50 years. I am the only one.”

Of course, Bernie and Hillary, along with so much of the Democratic Party, do the same, railing against Wall Street, the moneyed class, industry, and so forth.

Trump , in a combination that would drive the U.S. far deeper into debt, pledges to dramatically hike spending on the military, Social Security and Medicare while slashing taxes by huge sums.

Jefferson wrote:

“The principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.”

Say what? Democrats plan to jack up spending to unbelievable levels, and care little about imbalances. Of course, they do want to tax the hell out of the middle class, so there is that. Here’s the funniest, though

Trump struts, preens, beats his chest and, with unshakable faith that he is right, proclaims mightiness from bedroom to the boardroom, while insulting and demeaning those who are different from him, those who are disabled, those who disagree with his policies, and, most of all, those who question his greatness.

“I now make it my earnest prayer, that God would have you, and the State over which you preside, in his holy protection . . . and that he would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all, to do Justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility and pacific temper of mind, which were the Characteristicks of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy Nation.”

Happy birthday, America, we hope and pray.

Al Gore Calls Himself The Jackie Robinson Of ‘Climate Change’ Or Something

Though, I can’t find any articles about Jackie Robinson making a ton of money off being a hypocrite in regards to Black people. Can you?

(Washington Examiner) As a man on a “great social mission,” former Vice President Al Gore says he feels like baseball trailblazer Jackie Robinson, the messenger of integration who was often ridiculed and worse when he hit the bases as the first black to play professional ball.

“There is a time-honored tradition of people who strongly disagree with a message and take it out on the messenger, and opponents of integration had a personal animus for Jackie Robinson. Opponents of all the great social movements would take out after the advocates that were most effective in asking people to change,” Gore told his one-time employer, Nashville’s Tennessean newspaper.

“As a result, I don’t take it personally when the criticism comes at me. I believe so passionately in this mission, if you will. The word ‘mission’ might sound a little grandiose, but that’s kind of what it feels like to me. Honestly, it is a joy and a privilege to have work that justifies pouring every ounce of energy you can pour into it. That is a blessing that is to be cherished,” he added in an interview to discuss the 10th anniversary of his movie and book, “An Inconvenient Truth.”

It’s also surely a joy to start a TV station on Hotcoldwetdry that failed spectacularly, then sell it for a huge profit to a company utterly propped up by fossil fuels, allowing Gore to continue his big carbon footprint lifestyle of McMansions and flying private jets.

But, hey, he’s just like Jackie Robinson! Of course, Jackie was fighting an actual problem, systemic racism. Gore’s fighting made up issue.

“We’re still putting 110 million tons of global warming pollution into the atmosphere every day. And it’s adding up. The cumulative amount of heat energy trapped by all the man-made pollution up there is now equal to 400,000 Hiroshima-class (atomic) bombs going off every day.

Says the person with a huge carbon footprint, which seems the norm for the people who push this political issue the most.

House Democrats Have Plans To Act Like Unruly 2nd Graders Tuesday

House Democrats are Very Upset over the lack of progress in restricting multiple Constitutional Rights of law abiding American citizens, so they plan on acting like unruly children

(The Hill) The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is planning to disrupt the House when members return as part of a push for more action to stop gun violence, according to a memo obtained by the Washington Examiner.

The caucus said its members should be “as disruptive to Speaker [Paul] Ryan [R-Wis.] as possible next week” when the House gets back on Tuesday as part of a “day of action on the floor in regards to gun violence,” the memo, sent to Democratic offices, said.

“During Votes – Members are encouraged to have a picture (not poster board, but a printed piece of paper with an image of a constituent killed by a firearm),” the memo said.

By all means, hold up a picture of a person killed in a Democratic Party controlled area which tend to already have heavy restrictions on the 2nd Amendment Rights of law abiding citizens. Highlight that your policies do not work, and leave citizens at risk of being prey to the criminals that Democrats also coddle within the Democratic Party run areas.

Democrats are getting a bill that incorporates secretive government lists to restrict gun ownership, but, they do not like the Ryan bill, because it provides Due Process. So, they’ll act like a bunch of whiny babies, making a scene and a spectacle. Why did they not attempt legislation when they had full control of the Congress and White House?

This is all good news for gun manufacturers and stores, because whenever Democrats pull stunts and call for more laws and rules, gun sales skyrocket.

Climate change ‘re-writing’ face of UK wildlife, study warns

Britain’s wildlife calendar is and will continue to be rewritten by climate change – something which could result in disruptive consequences for both plants and animals – a new study is warning.

Researchers from the UK’s Centre for Ecology & Hydrology have discovered that seasonal events -such as the timing of flowering in plants and breeding in birds – are generally more sensitive to temperature change, than to changes in rain and snowfall. (snip)

In turn, this could have consequences for the country’s renowned biodiversity, as the breeding success and survival of such species are affected.

Well, obviously, the UK has been exactly the same for millions and billions of years, that is until the Industrial Revolution, fossil fuels, air conditioning, refrigeration, smartphones, and modern society.

Dr Thackeray went on: “Our findings highlight the importance of managing ecosystems within a ‘safe operating space’ with respect to the likely impacts of projected climate change.”

In other words, give us money and tax the citizens to death while we try and micromanage the environment, and, surely nothing could possibly go wrong with that!

Meanwhile, up to 60% of penguins in the Antarctic could might possibly maybe perish by 2100

Climate change is affecting Antarctica’s penguin population, which is reducing rapidly, especially in regions where the impact of global warming is felt the most. The population is expected to plummet by 60 percent at the end of this century.

The main reason for their plummeting population is the warming of sea water. Even though the penguins cannot survive extremely cold temperatures, the warmer places too cannot let them live, explain experts, relying on global climate model projections and satellite data for their study.

About 30 percent of Adélie colonies in Antarctica may be wiped out by 2060, and 60 percent by 2099.

We’re really heating up this Independence Day

Sometimes at Grist HQ, we ask ourselves things like: “Just how miserable will the Fourth of July be in 2100?”

We’re fun like that.

But really, our summers are hot and getting hotter. Just ask the founding fathers: On July 4, 1776, Thomas Jefferson dressed and bewigged himself for a long day of declaration-adopting in a relatively pleasant 76 degrees — good news for the thirteen waistcoat-clad dudes in the stuffy halls of Philadelphia’s State House.

Fast-forward 240 years. This Fourth of July, the temperature in Philly is forecast at a sticky 85 degrees. And by the end of the century, fireworks over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway could take place in 90-degree weather.

So, doom! Of course, since Warmists like to accuse others of fraud, failing to mention that 1776 was at the height of the Little Ice Age, meaning temperatures lower than today would be considered fraud per the Warmist’s duckspeak. In England, the Thames froze several times during the winter. Philly also didn’t have the massive land use changes which trap heat, what is known as the Urban Heat Island Effect. If you check the weather for the areas in the Pennsylvania countryside, they tend to be a few degrees cooler than Philly.

Facts matter little to the Cult of Climastrology, because this is a political movement.

NY Times: Due To Brexit, America Should Break With Britain Again

Like most liberals, the NY Times Editorial Board seems rather upset regarding a day that celebrates Freedom. So, why not combine it with their hatred of Brexit?

This year, the commemoration of the break with the British Empire on the Fourth of July is particularly rich in material for mulling the state of democracy and trans-Atlantic relations.

Those who voted for Britain to leave the European Union, and their admirers in the United States and Europe, will no doubt aver that this is a similar break with an unresponsive, alien power and a bold bid by a free people to take control of their destiny. As Marine Le Pen, the leader of the National Front party in France, wrote recently in The Times, “The decision that the people of Britain have just made was indeed an act of courage — the courage of a people who embrace their freedom.”

The trouble with that argument, like many others advanced by the Leave crowd in Britain — as well as by Donald Trump’s nativist legions in the United States and by the xenophobic parties across Europe — is that it’s wrong.

The “Brussels” against which British voters rebelled is not the “absolute Despotism” that the authors of the Declaration of Independence broke with, but a bureaucracy answerable to 28 contentious governments that has never constrained British sovereignty in defense or fiscal policy, or in dealing with refugees from outside the E.U. And as the Britons will soon realize to their regret, they benefited handsomely from participating in a large common market.

There’s little point in arguing that so many EU citizens feel that there is absolute Despotism, especially when they are being told which appliances they can and cannot buy, what cars they can drive, and being inundated with violent, rapist, criminal fighting age men from Islamic countries, among other issues, and feel powerless.

All that has been amply chronicled, along with the real motives behind the Leave vote (and the politically analogous Trump phenomenon): the sense among older, provincial, white voters that they are somehow being marginalized by globalization; a nostalgia for a simpler and often mythical past.

Speaking of White, have you seen the NY Times Editorial Board? Considering how many beaches are near Manhattan, a tan might be in order. Of course, and as usual, they are Very Upset that people were allowed to engage in this whole voting thing

They would argue, in the populist tradition, that the British referendum demonstrated the will of the people and was therefore richly democratic. Referendums may have their occasional role in democracy, but if abolition, voting rights, or same-sex marriage, for example, had been put to national referendums, who knows where we’d be? As a Tory (and staunchly pro-Europe) prime minister, Margaret Thatcher, once argued, referendums sacrifice constitutional protections and parliamentary sovereignty to political expediency.

Except, this was not about internals, but breaking from the EU. Liberals only love voting when they win.

The Declaration of Independence exists on an entirely different moral plane. Its invocation of the natural and legal rights of people born equal is the standard for human rights the world over. And the political system created on its principles made sure to protect these self-evident truths from public passions.

So, the NY Times is good with treating Hillary Clinton exactly like every other citizen, and believes she should be in jail, right? Because if any of us did what she did, we’d already be in jail. Anyhow, here it comes

So perhaps on this Fourth of July, Americans should once again proclaim a break with Britain — this time a break with the misguided British vote to turn back the clock on freedom of movement, on tolerance, on diversity, on free trade, on all the things that have made the free world great.

Or, perhaps we should embrace them, realizing that they are trying to take control back from the people who come willy nilly to their country and no only refuse to assimilate, but expect the Brits to cowtow to the immigrants. “Diversity” led to the Rotherdam sexual assault scandal. Is that what the NY Times wants?
