Federal Judge Blocks Obama’s Gender Confused Bathroom Policy

Some people think it’s a bad idea allowing people who feel that they’re the opposite biological sex in bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers of the opposite biological sex, especially when there is a serious concern that many are just pretending

(Bloomberg) The Obama administration was barred by a judge from enforcing a directive that U.S. public schools allow transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms according to their gender identity.

A federal judge in Fort Worth, Texas, on Sunday sided with Texas and 12 other states that argued the administration’s policy usurps local control and threatens students’ safety and privacy. (snip)

In the Texas case, the judge said his ruling was based on the administration failing to follow rule-making procedures and not underlying issues of students’ rights.

“This case presents the difficult issue of balancing the protection of students’ rights and that of personal privacy when using school bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, and other intimate facilities, while ensuring that no student is unnecessarily marginalized while attending school,” O’Connor said. “The resolution of this difficult policy issue is not, however, the subject of this order.”

You have this tiny, tiny, tiny segment of the population which needs some serious psychological guidance, along with restraining orders against wackjob parents who advocate and coddle their little boys and girls into believing that they are really the opposite biological sex at young ages. And none of them will accept a common sense solution like separate showers, locker rooms, and bathrooms, so that everyone is afforded their privacy and safety. No, no, they want to force this gender confusion down everyone’s throats.

And no, this is not even close to what blacks went through when Democrats were instituting Jim Crow and other segregation laws, an argument liberals like to trot out. No one is kicking TGs out of school, saying they can’t participate in gym class, nor cannot use the bathroom. They just need to use the either use the bathroom etc that corresponds to their biological sex or accept a reasonable accommodation that allows for other people’s privacy.

Poll: People Really Hate The Thought Of Voting For Either Hillary Or Trump

We’re having a really, really special election this year

(The Hill) Half of all voters say they definitely won’t consider voting for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, according to a new Morning Consult poll.

The poll also found that 45 percent of voters said they definitely wouldn’t consider voting for Clinton.

The number for Trump is exactly 50%, to be clear, once you check the link.

As you can see, Hillary leads in the definitely will vote for category 35-29%. The numbers are marginally bad, but, here’s something to consider in Trump’s favor

Among independents, 23 percent said they supported Clinton and 30 percent said they backed Trump.

Here’s the thing: this election should have been relatively easy, with the Democrats nominating one of the worst candidates of all time. She’s shadier and more paranoid than Richard Nixon, yet doesn’t even have the accomplishments of things like important legislation than Nixon. Her charitable foundation barely spends 10% on charity, and is more of a slush fund for the Clinton’s who also use it as a pay for play system with foreign governments and private entities. She has less transparency than Obama. Her health is most likely poor. She’s unexciting and really doesn’t like speaking to crowds. She treated the press like garbage, and has even smacked around her own supporters.

Yet. Trump. There may be time, but, it’s very limited.

Imagine the outrage from Dems and the media if Bush had not only refused to end his vacation and spent lots of time golfing, partying, and attending fundraisers, but waited a few days after his vacation to head to a disaster zone.

Easier than rewriting all the time. Also, the listing order has to do with how they are added over time, not how good a post is. I just copy and paste from the previous week, then edit. If you see one of the *’s, go ahead and check out the blog anyhow, see if there is an update. I cannot update with my Android during the day.

NY Mag: It’s A Real Shame Republicans Won’t Allow Single Payer

Liberal activists and Obamacare supporters have been telling us for years that Ocare is not really meant to be a platform for single payer, and anyone who says that is engaged in a conspiracy theory. They aren’t really looking for that, you guys, all they want is to make sure citizens have affordable health insurance, and Ocare is doing so darned great that there’s no reason for a public option. Hence the reason no one is calling for a public option. Not Bernie Sanders. Not Hillary Clinton. Not the NY Times, Washington Post, elected Democrats. No one. Certainly not Obama. Right?

There’s an odd sort of complacency, and even smugness, in some progressive circles over the problems being created by the flight of private insurers like UnitedHealth and Aetna from participating in the Affordable Care Act’s purchasing exchanges. It is being widely noted that this is precisely the sort of contingency that a “public option,” originally supported by the president and most congressional Democrats but abandoned in the final legislation to get it through the Senate, was designed to address. In the most prominent “told you so,” Bernie Sanders has predictably commented that the leverage of private insurers over Obamacare shows why we instead need a single-payer system that abandons private insurance entirely.

The collapsing support from insurers in the exchanges is not a bug, it is a feature, much like most provisions of Ocare. It’s all designed to a) put people more under the thumb of government and b) move towards full single payer.

Of course, NY Mag’s Ed Kilgore is very upset that Republicans will block any fixes to Ocare, because it apparently needs a lot of repairs. Seriously, why didn’t anyone point out all the potential problems before this travesty was passed over the objections of the citizens?

That is all well and good, but the very same political problems that prevented the adoption of a public option (much less “Medicare for all”) in 2009 and 2010 when Democrats controlled Congress by comfortable margins have gotten worse, not better. Yes, if Hillary Clinton is elected in November she has already announced support for adding a public option to Obamacare, and there’s a decent chance she will bring a narrowly Democratic Senate along with her. A Democratic House, however, remains a very long shot, and even if it happens, getting something as controversial as an Obamacare “fix” through a closely divided Congress is at best an even longer shot. Yes, in theory, something like an increase in insurance subsidies to lure the private companies back in could be enacted via a budget reconciliation bill that is immune to a GOP Senate filibuster. But progressive Democrats who want to abandon private insurance entirely aren’t likely to go along with that, and it’s doubtful a major structural reform could be accomplished without the kind of legislation that could be filibustered (barring elimination of the filibuster altogether).

Those political problems would be the public not wanting government run health care, not wanting Ocare in the first place, and elected Democrats mostly not wanting to expose their ultimate agenda, which the progressive base was pushing, namely, government run health care.

So even if they hate Obamacare’s structure and the very existence of private health insurance, progressives should hope against hope that private insurers hang around and that the ACA continues to function. Much of the coverage gains achieved by Obamacare were via state Medicaid expansions that are unlikely to be revoked, at least in the bare majority of states that enacted them. So the picture is not all bleak. But it’s politically unseemly and morally questionable for progressives to enjoy the problems bedeviling the ACA, even if they told us so.

In other words, Progressives should be circumspect over their ultimate plan of single payer, and celebrating the collapse of Ocare in order to push single payer overtly should be put on the back burner.

Oh, but don’t forget, Democrats had been telling us that Ocare was doing super awesome

Good Grief: Trump Tours ‘Climate Change’ In Louisiana

The always unhinged Think Progress is rather vexed by Trump heading to Louisiana

Trump Tours Flood-Ravaged Louisiana But Thinks Climate Change Is A Hoax

On Friday morning, Donald Trump toured southeast Louisiana, a region that has been ravaged in the past week by historic rainfall and devastating floods. Late last week, slow-moving weather systems dumped more than two feet of rain over a 48-hour period, leaving more than a dozen dead and at least 40,000 homes damaged. (snip)

But Trump’s visit, coupled with his calls for sympathy for the victims of the flooding, is ironic, considering his denial of climate change, which is expected to increase the likelihood that devastating floods like the one in Louisiana will occur.

“Climate change has already been shown to increase the amounts of rain falling in the most intense events across many parts of the world, and extreme rainfall events like this week’s Louisiana storm are expected to grow increasingly common in the coming years,” Bob Henson and Jeff Masters explained over at Weather Underground. Which is to say that while climate change can’t cause a single weather event — and while floods certainly would occur in a world without climate change — global warming is making the odds of these extreme events more and more likely.

Of course, when there are dry conditions, Warmists will also say that ‘climate change’ will make the odds of these extreme events (you know, weather, which happens regardless) more and more likely. No matter what happens, these cultists will invoke ‘climate change’. It’s what they do.

And TP isn’t the only outlet going Warmbat: the Washington Post thinks this is the perfect time to talk about Hotcoldwetdry. Which is not surprising, as they’d rather talk about that then why Obama kept golfing and doing parties and fundraisers while people were dying and houses were being flooded.

The Sierra Club released an unhinged press release through the far left Common Dreams whining that Trump is a “study in ignorance and reckless disregard” over ‘climate change’.

There’s plenty more like this, all Very Concerned about AGW and wanting to slam Trump, yet, showing an utter lack of empathy for the victims who are trying to pick up their lives right now. The victims are being used as props. Shameful.

Noted Guy With Giant Carbon Footprint Says We Should Preserve Our Public Parks From ‘Climate Change’

Here’s a guy who took a fossil fueled trip to vacation in an energy hog house and spent lots of time on golf courses, which are evil to anthropogenic climate change

(The Hill) President Obama used the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service to call for action on climate change, warning that rising temperatures and seas could destroy some of America’s treasures.

“As we look ahead, the threat of climate change means that protecting our public lands and waters is more important than ever,” Obama said in his weekly address.

“Rising temperatures could mean no more glaciers in Glacier National Park. No more Joshua Trees in Joshua Tree National Park. Rising seas could destroy vital ecosystems in the Everglades, even threaten Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.”

Meanwhile, people in Louisiana are suffering, and Obama won’t bother to cut his (taxpayer funded) vacation short to visit, nor does he mention it in his weekly address. Nope. He goes with Hotcoldwetdry to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the parks, which, remember, he shut down with Barrycades during the government shutdown a few years ago. Because they belong to all of us

“Because these parks belong to all of us.  And they’re worth celebrating – not just this year, but every year.”

See? But, we couldn’t visit them when Obama had a snit fit over not getting his own way.

It’s all a scary story for him, right before he jumps back in a fossil fueled vehicle to head to yet another water intensive golf course.

But, let’s be honest, most of Obama’s weekly address was pretty good, since it is only the last two paragraphs where his Cult of Climastrology pedigree appears. He tells people to get out and see the parks….wait, wouldn’t that use fossil fuels?

Of course, he couldn’t help making this all about himself

Washington Post: Trump’s Attacks On Hillary’s (Poor) Health Sickening Or Something

Ruth Marcus is Very Upset over anyone daring to question the health of Hillary Clinton, because no one should question the Queen, and it makes her sick. Especially since Ruth drags in the sexxxxxism card

Trump’s Sickening attacks on Clinton’s health

Donald Trump — he who likes to fly home at night in the comfort of his own plane to sleep in the comfort of his own bed — is at it again on the question of Hillary Clinton’s stamina, or alleged lack thereof.

“To defeat crime and radical Islamic terrorism in our country, to win trade in our country, you need tremendous physical and mental strength and stamina,” he said in Wisconsin. “Hillary Clinton doesn’t have that strength and stamina.”

And a day earlier, in case you missed it, “Importantly, she also lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on ISIS, and all the many adversaries we face.”

It’s obvious what’s going on here. The strength-stamina combo is a gender-age twofer, a double whack at Clinton for the price of one. Strength, what men have and women lack; stamina, with its intimations of go-all-night virility. Clinton, in this depiction, is both a weak girl and a dried-up old crone.

Or, it could be a: a valid concern due to all the falls, the inability to walk up stairs, wearing long jackets to cover the adult diapers (as some have hintimated), special glasses to deal with double vision, a possible brain aneurysm, strange head ticks, etc., or b: this is a campaign, and the majority of the media will not help in attacking Clinton, since she’s a Democrat, so, Trump and his forces have to do it.

No matter that Trump is a year and four months older — and, for that matter, endures a far less rigorous schedule. In Trump World, what counts is the attack, not the truth.

But, Trump is not having those same potential health problems. Hillary is. Ruth’s apoplexy continues for a while, ending with

But the Trump & Co. attack on Clinton’s health, with its undertones of ageism and sexism, has no basis in reality, and no place in a presidential campaign. It would be tempting to say this is beneath even Trump, except that it isn’t.

No place, huh? How about all the sexist attacks on Sarah Palin, for one? How about all the age related attacks on John McCain? The demands for more and more health records from McCain, while asking for nothing from Obama? The “just wondering” attacks on McCain’s eligibility to serve because he was born in the Panama Canal zone, and a totally unfounded report that he had an affair? These came from the media, liberal pundits, and Democrats.

How about the attacks on George Bush for his past alcoholism, wondering whether he could still serve? Unfounded attacks that his wife was doing cocaine? These came from the media, liberal pundits, and Democrats.

Mitt Romney was actually in very good health, so, he was attacked for his Mormonism. And how many articles were spent on or mentioned the dog on the roof or a stupid haircutting incident 60 years ago? How many went after “magic underwear”?

Obama didn’t need to personally go after McCain or Romney. Kerry didn’t need to go after Bush. Their media allies did it for them, just as they go after Trump today. Hillary’s health is a valid concern. If she had an R after her name, Ruth and the rest of the media would be deeply concerned and digging deep. Remember, the Washington Post, along with many media outlets, sent huge numbers of reporters to Alaska to comb through Palin’s emails, while also asking them to be crowd-sourced. Yet, not only is there no interest in investigating Hillary’s health, they are defending her.

If Trump was taking lots of time off the campaign trail, had an email from employees saying he was “easily confused”, others that discussed his napping and inability to get out of bed, if he was falling, etc and so on, you can bet that vast numbers of reporters would be detailed to investigate, and this would be front page news with lots of “wondering” stories, as well as opinion pieces.
