You have to know that something like this sends the Democrats and their pet media into full blown apoplexy
(Breitbart) President Donald Trump pointed to a 10-foot security wall around the Obama’s “mansion/compound†as he called for a wall along the U.S. border Sunday.
“President and Mrs. Obama built/has a ten foot Wall around their D.C. mansion/compound,†Trump wrote. “I agree, totally necessary for their safety and security. The U.S. needs the same thing, slightly larger version!â€

Here’s what that looks like

Further, you can bet the doors are locked and that the Obama’s have armed security.
Are walls perfect? Of course not. But, they stop people way more often, as shown by the fact that people have used them for thousands and thousands of years.
Meanwhile, here’s a case of “me thinks thou doth protest too much”
‘Open borders’ claim just a right-wing myth | Feedback
In response to Luis Perez’s recent letter, “A wall works in Israel, why not here?” I say: Give it a rest. (the wall there does work)
The disingenuous argument from the right — if you don’t support President Donald Trump’s plans for a border wall, you want “open borders” — is nothing more than propaganda. We do not need a monument to Trump’s ego to protect our southern border. We have 21st century technology that would be far more effective in securing the border than a 14th century solution like a wall.
A wall will not solve our immigration problems. Almost half the people who are in this country illegally came here legally and overstayed their visas. The majority of drugs smuggled into this country come through legal ports of entry. How will a wall stop this? The short answer is: It won’t.
In fact, about 55% of the illegals have crossed the border, more often at the southern border. So we could seriously reduce that flow with walls in certain areas. And we should deport the hell out of the 45% who overstay their visas. But, liberals like William Roth, who wrote the letter above, just want to let anyone in.
The wall is just a simple solution from a simple mind. The problem is far more complex and requires comprehensive actions. There are some places on our border where a wall would be effective, and others where drone technology would be a better solution. Also, creating an easier path to citizenship for asylum seekers and migrants would reduce the count of undocumented persons in our country. Then, there is the idea of prosecuting those who hire undocumented workers.
Drones cannot stop anyone, unless we’re arming them. But, hey, if we just give cheap citizenship to all the illegals we wouldn’t have that many illegals! Problem solved!

Falling into homelessness is much easier to happen than often supposed, as millions have found. Buckling under the weight of the financial burden can be one reason. But there are others. As the HUD report noted, close to 1% of the homeless counted in January when the agency takes its sample were in shelters for people displaced by national disasters, whether Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria, and Nate, western wildfires, or some other storm or event. And many of these events showed greater destructive power tied to climate change.
