Comrade Bernie Is Hot To “Put A Moratorium” On Deportations

Bernie Sanders: ‘We Are Going to Impose a Moratorium on Deportations’

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) told a group that he backs a moratorium on all deportations from the U.S., a video surfaced on Saturday revealed.
The socialist senator told a group that, under a Sanders administration, the U.S. would cease ICE raids and deportations.

“We’re gonna end the ICE raids which are terrorizing communities all across this country,” Sanders said.

“We are gonna impose a moratorium on deportations,” he continued. “There are some things that a president can do with executive orders.”

So, would he allow these illegals to stay?

Or would he be worried about “terrorizing their communities” and want to give them free healthcare?

Sanders also told the group that Medicare for All and free college would extend to individuals residing in the U.S. illegally.

“Let me also say something of which I have gotten into trouble and people will criticize me for,” Sanders said.

“I am, as some of you know, supportive of a Medicare for All single-payer system and that means that everybody in the country has health care including the undocumented,” he continued.

“And mark my words. You’ll see 30-second attacking me for that,” Sanders warned before adding that he also supports providing illegal aliens with free college.

And he wants all the “undocumented” to be documented and turned into citizens. Like the people above and the MS-13 gang members who hacked and stabbed a man to death in Maryland, who he doesn’t want to deport.

Al Roker Takes Long Fossil Fueled Trip To Greenland For NBC’s New Climate Unit

NBC has joined the push by Warmists to get the news industry involved (even more) in pushing the ‘climate change’ cult indoctrination (as I noted the other day). And how are they starting off?

Al Roker just got back from Greenland, and he’s horrified by what he saw there
As part of NBC’s upcoming “Climate in Crisis” programming week and the launch of its new Climate Unit, Roker watched NASA track melting glaciers in Greenland. Their findings are worrisome for the whole planet.

NASA’s OMG mission is ongoing, and Today’s weather and feature anchor Al Roker recently joined it in Kulusuk, Greenland, as part of a new reporting unit at NBC that will focus on telling the story of climate change. Roker says that Arctic regions serve as “the canary in the coal mine” for climate change, as readily visible changes there signify serious problems to come for the rest of the planet. Greenland’s melting glaciers mean the eventual disappearance of habitable land in low-level areas ranging from Bangladesh to Florida. “The ripple effects [from Arctic] areas result around the globe, including the United States,” Roker says.

This is the kind of research NBC’s new Climate Unit will continue to focus on. The unit will debut its work on Sunday, September 15 with an on-the-ground reporting series titled “Climate in Crisis” that will run through Friday, September 20 across NBC News, MSNBC, Telemundo, and NBC News Digital Sunday. While Roker’s trip to Greenland will highlight the many consequences of the country’s glacier melt, Lester Holt’s will travel to Alaska, his home as a child, to showcase what happens what a permafrost thaws does to cities.

Though NBC’s Climate Unit launched this week, Roker has been advocating for its development for a while. About a month ago, the president of NBC News, Noah Oppenheim, agreed to get it up and running. “We think it’s the most important issue affecting not just the country but the planet,” he’d told Roker, who’s now heading up the unit. With NBC’s Weather Unit already in place, creating the Climate Unit was a matter of adding more resources, producers, and correspondents. The size of the unit will continue to increase, Roker says.

Oh, goody

So, how did Al get there? How did he travel around? How did he come back? And, yes, this matters. We’re told by people like Roker that we are doomed, particularly from fossil fuels, yet, he uses a ton to travel and see mildly melting glaciers (which are melting primarily from nature, and some are growing).

Good News: Green Energy Boom Leads To Massive Release On Most Powerful Greenhouse Gas

World’s most powerful greenhouse gas on the rise ‘due to green energy boom’

The most powerful known greenhouse gas has been leaking into the Earth’s atmosphere due to the green energy boom, it was reported on Friday night.

Sulphur hexafluoride, or SF6, is widely used in the electrical industry to prevent short circuits and accidents.

It is 23,500 times more warming than carbon dioxide (CO2), and just one kilogram warms the Earth as much as 24 people flying London to New York return.

The drive to use mixed sources of power, including wind, solar and gas, rather than coal as fuel has resulted in a rise in the number of electrical devices that use SF6, the BBC said.

A study from the University of Cardiff found that across all transmission and distribution networks, the amount used was increasing by 30-40 tonnes per year.

Emissions of the gas in the UK and the rest of the EU in 2017 were the equivalent of putting an extra 1.3million cars on the road.

“As renewable projects are getting bigger and bigger, we have had to use it within wind turbines specifically,” Costa Pirgousis, an engineer with Scottish Power Renewables, told the BBC.

And it’s only going to get worse. Good job, Warmists! And, there is no replacement for SF6.

‘We need to be realistic’: AOC predicts Miami won’t exist ‘in a few years’ without Green New Deal

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez predicted that Miami will no longer exist in just a couple of years if the Green New Deal is not passed.

“When it comes to climate change, what is not realistic is not responding with a solution on the scale of the crisis — because what’s not realistic is Miami not existing in a few years,” the New York Democrat said Wednesday at an NAACP forum. “So we need to be realistic about the problem.”

Ocasio-Cortez, 29, touted the Green New Deal as the solution to that problem.

Strangely, she still hasn’t demanded a vote in the Democrat controlled House of her GND resolution.

New Zealand Looks To Pass More Gun Control Bills

In the wake of their mass shooting, New Zealand passed a whole host of gun control bills aimed at law abiding citizens, including a mass banning of a lot of different firearms, requiring forced turn-ins. That’s not going so well, with not that many turning their lawfully purchased property in. So, now

New Zealand plans further restrictions to gun ownership

Six months after a gunman killed 51 people at two Christchurch mosques, New Zealand’s government is planning further restrictions to gun ownership.

A bill introduced to Parliament on Friday would create a register to track all the guns in the country and require gun owners to renew their gun licenses every five years instead of every 10. It would also place new responsibilities on doctors to notify police if they believe a gun owner shouldn’t have a license due to concerns over the owner’s mental health.

The government hopes lawmakers will approve the legislation by the end of the year.

The proposed measures come after New Zealand in April rushed through legislation to ban assault weapons such as AR-15 style rifles.

The government has launched a buyback scheme to compensate gun owners for the outlawed semi-automatics, and has so far collected about 19,000 weapons and 70,000 parts. The gun buyback and a parallel gun amnesty run until December.

See, that forced buyback scheme of the banned weapons is not working well, because the Government doesn’t know who has what. Forcing law abiding gun owners to register them will allow the Government to confiscate them much easier. Australia had the same issue, with it being reported that only about 20% of firearms were turned in when they went with a big ban in the late 1990’s.

And then this thing with doctors? This could very much keep people away from visiting health providers.

Ardern has previously made the point that New Zealand has a different view on guns than the U.S., where gun ownership is seen as a constitutional right and is interpreted by many to be a defense against potential government overreach.

“Owning a firearm is a privilege not a right,” Ardern said on Friday.

Democrats here in the U.S. also think it is a privilege, and, Arden and her government comrades perfectly highlight why gun owners in the U.S. refuse to compromise on anything: because the gun grabbers will want more and more and more.

AOC’s Grand Idea On Green New Disaster Is To Break It Up To Pass It

It’s been over half a year since Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez released her Green New Deal resolution (along with cosponsor Senator Ed Markey (D)), for which she has never demanded a vote. Her big idea to get it passed as actual legislation?

AOC: We are breaking up the Green New Deal

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Tuesday her massive Green New Deal proposal will move forward — in pieces.

“One of the things I think is really exciting,” said the first-term New York Democrat, is that “the legislation that we are planning on introducing is not one broad sweeping piece of legislation.”

Ocasio-Cortez said, “We are breaking it up into parts.”

The liberal Democrat said lawmakers are at work on different pieces of legislation derived from the Green New Deal, which calls for eliminating carbon emissions in the United States in 10 years.

One of the first measures will promote the transition to electric vehicles, she said.

Ocasio-Cortez said she plans to introduce a bill this month aimed at transitioning the U.S. to carbon-neutral buildings, which she called a “Green New Deal housing plan.”

She’s really excited about this

“We are really excited about it,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “That’s going to be dropping this month, and it’s going to be really a focus on buildings, which is one of the three major industries we have to focus on when it comes to reducing carbon emissions.”

The proof will be how it’s written, but, you can bet it will involve the Central Planning Office, er, federal government, imposing massive controls on your domicile and workplace, increasing costs tremendously, making housing even more expensive, making the cost of doing business very expensive. All while doing nothing to “solve” anthropogenic climate change.

Americans Increasingly See Hotcoldwetdry As A Crisis But Are Unwilling To Pay $2 Themselves

Americans increasingly see climate change as a crisis, poll shows

A growing number of Americans describe climate change as a crisis, and two-thirds say President Trump is doing too little to tackle the problem.

The results, from a poll conducted by The Washington Post and the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF), point to a growing disconnect between Americans worried about the warming planet and Trump administration officials, who have aggressively scaled back Obama-era environmental regulations and relinquished the nation’s role as a global leader in pushing for climate action.

The poll finds that a strong majority of Americans — about 8 in 10 — say that human activity is fueling climate change, and roughly half believe action is urgently needed within the next decade if humanity is to avert its worst effects. Nearly 4 in 10 now say climate change is a “crisis,” up from less than a quarter five years ago.

If you read the poll, you’ll find lots and lots of stuff that seems good for the Cult of Climastrology. In theory

Though Americans are increasingly worried about climate change, fewer than 4 in 10 say they believe that tackling the problem will require them to make “major sacrifices.” And most are unwilling to pay for it out of their own pockets.

For example, while nearly half of adults say they would be willing to pay a $2 monthly tax on their electricity bills to help combat climate change, just over a quarter say they are willing to pay $10 extra each month. And while two-thirds support stricter fuel-efficiency standards for the nation’s cars and trucks, increases in the gas tax remain deeply unpopular.

I’ve mentioned that AP-NORC survey which finds that 68% of Americans wouldn’t be willing to pay even $10 more a month in higher electric bills even if the money were used to combat climate change many times, right? The WP-Kaiser poll made a big mistake in asking similar, which is where the above comes from

So, among the respondents, which has a Dem/Rep/Ind breakdown of 37/25/29 (oversamples Dems)

  • 51% aren’t willing to pay $2 on their electric bills. $2.
  • 64% aren’t willing to pay 10 cents more per gallon
  • 71% aren’t willing to pay $10 a month on their electric bill

So, theory about Solving Climate Doom doesn’t quite hit the real world.
