On a recent Gutfeld show, Fox Business host Charles Payne described Forbes as well as several other business magazines as useless. They cover social issues instead of financial ones, and no serious investor should read them.

400 Billion reasons to dismantle Brandon’s Department of Energy.

As if to prove that anything Mr. Biden could botch 10 years ago he can botch bigger and better now, the loan office is back, baby. Americans gasped at the audacity of Barack Obama’s $814 billion stimulus bill in 2009—and of gambling some $80 billion on clean energy—but that’s peanuts. The Biden spending rampage has bestowed on Mr. Shah, director of the loan department, a stunning $400 billion to hand out to green companies too risky for traditional lenders, or too politically powerful to turn down. According to a July Journal story, the “pile of cash is at least 20 times as big as most private green-energy funds.”

All’s fair in love and war. The wife of Ukraine’s Intelligence Head was poisoned, but is alive in the hospital. Russia is suspected.

      Russia is suspected.

you mean the entire nation of Russia poisoned the poor woman? Now that’s dedication. I figure Zelenskyyyy contracted it out to Hillary. Arkancide.

Was this before or after the two big billionaires are Ukraine used the money we gave them to buy a $25 million yacht for one and a $27 million yacht for another?

The Ukraine project is and has been a very lucrative money laundering operation. This means it has a very large lobbying effort behind it, so cutting off the money will be difficult. On the other hand, sending unknown billions through a failing operation, one that could be overrun by the Russian army very soon, is a tough sell even for Washington. Therefore, pressure is on to produce a new winning narrative to keep the money flowing.

This is why the Republicans are going to move heaven and earth to get fresh cash into the money laundering system. If the cash runs out, not only does the money laundering end, but it also means the end of Ukraine in a hurry. Ukraine no longer has a functioning economy and it is no longer able to pay for its own government services. If money from Washington and Brussels stops flowing, Ukraine will collapse in weeks. This kills project Ukraine for future money laundering.

The result of all this is all the players now see the status quo as the only workable option, even if the battlefield reality says otherwise. Zelensky knows he cannot kill Russians with dollar bills, but dollar bills keep him alive. At the same time, Washington thinks they can pretend it is a stalemate as long as Zelensky remains in charge, so giving him money works for them. Of course, the money laundering machine wants the cash to keep flowing for its own sake.

The trouble is the reality on the battlefield. The Ukrainians officially mobilized three quarters of a million men. They have less than half that number remaining. There are pictures of girls and old men turning up dead in trenches now. There is only so much damage an army can take before it begins to crack. The politics of the war point to maintaining the status quo, but the reality of it is pointing to collapse. That is what lies ahead for Ukraine in 2024.

LGB: you mean the entire nation of Russia poisoned the poor woman

Having a stupidly bad day? What do you think one means when they say “England wins the World Cup”? Do they mean the entire nation of England kicked the winning goal? Kansas City won the Super Bowl! Look up the word, synecdoche. We hope you’ve learned something today but we’re not optimistic.

The far-right media first claimed President Zelensky bought a pair of yachts, then changed the accusations to two brothers, friends and colleagues of Zelensky, bought a pair of yachts… As of yesterday (Nov 30, 2023) one of the yachts, My Legacy, was still For Sale by Burgess.

“Burgess can confirm that MY LEGACY is currently for sale, with Burgess as the exclusive listing brokerage house,” a spokesperson said.

Zelensky’s wife, Olena, was recently reported to have bought a private Florida island for $95 million!!

Ruh roh! Another one bites the dust.

Corrupt Representative George Santos (R-NY) was just expelled from Congress. Santos will now face charges for fraud. The NY 3rd district will hold a special election.

Why would the Repubs oust one of their own? It paves the way to votes to expel some Dems they hate – The Squad!! It takes a 2/3rd majority vote to expel a Representative. Santos lost, 311-114-2.

Former Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O’Connor, appointed by President Ronald Reagan, passed away today at 93.

O’Connor was the first woman appointed to the court, being approved by the Senate on a 99-0 vote.

She was a Reagan conservative but hardly a nuCon:

Later on (early 90s), as the Court’s make-up became more conservative (e.g., Anthony Kennedy replacing Lewis Powell, and Clarence Thomas replacing Thurgood Marshall), O’Connor often became the swing vote on the Court. However, she usually disappointed the Court’s more liberal bloc in contentious 5–4 decisions: from 1994 to 2004, she joined the traditional conservative bloc of Rehnquist, Antonin Scalia, Anthony Kennedy, and Thomas 82 times; she joined the liberal bloc of John Paul Stevens, David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Stephen Breyer only 28 times.

    RIP Justice.
