CDC Fearmongers “Tripledemic” For Winter

They just can’t help themselves in perpetuating the Doom

Ready for another ‘tripledemic’? CDC prepares for a winter of ‘3 bugs out there’

Even as the nation is faced with blistering heat waves this summer, Dr. Mandy Cohen, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is already thinking ahead to cold and flu season this winter.

“We’re going to have three bugs out there, three viruses: Covid, of course, flu and RSV,” Cohen said in an interview. “We need to make sure the American people understand all three and what they can do to protect themselves.”

Spread of all three respiratory viruses is currently low, but the CDC has begun to detect slight increases in positive Covid tests and Covid-related emergency department visits. And the decline in Covid hospitalizations has stalled.

Omicron XBB subvariants remain the most prevalent forms of Covid, though on Wednesday, the World Health Organization identified a new XBB version, the EG.5, as rising in prevalence around the world and in the U.S.

It’s unclear what — if anything — the emergence of EG.5 means. The WHO noted there’s no evidence that it causes more severe illness. Cohen said that so far, the virus remains susceptible to Covid shots.

Almost no one is buying this anymore. They’ve moved on from the Wuhan Flu scare. Almost no one gets it anymore (weird how this horrendous coronavirus essentially burned itself out in just 2 years, eh? The flu? No one really gets scared about that? RSV? They tried to gin that up, everyone ignored it, especially by linking it to children (the same children the authoritarians tried to lock down, keep out of school, force them to wear masks which turned into terror and screaming fits because they didn’t know what was going on).

The CDC, WHO, and NIH have basically lost all credibility since they turned Covid-19 into a political situation. They may have legitimate concerns now, but they’re gonna have a hard time convincing the public that their concerns are justified. What happens if this doesn’t happen? Who will pay the price for the scaremongering?

    Remember this?

We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated – for themselves, their families and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. — Joe Biden

That, of course, didn’t happen, so now the government are doubling down.

COVID-19 was serious, in the beginning, but it was so overblown, and the response so ridiculous, that the ‘experts’ basically took their credibility in hand, and threw it into the fire. Even if they’re right this time, a whole lot of people aren’t going to believe them; that’s what crying, “Wolf!” too often does to people.

if i recall correctly. the cases of the flu almost disappeared when covid was in bloom. covid was a money maker and allowed the dems to put in slo joe and his crime organization.

I’m no fan of how the government handled the COVID problem, the emphasis should have been on the elderly, the immune compromised and the obese, and never on shutting down the country, but strangely the shut down did greatly reduce the flu.

Less travel and greatly improved personal hygiene worked. Not so much for the much greater virulent COVID early variants.

I’ve never had the flu and have only been getting the flu vaccine for the past 10 years or so.

I did get the Covid vaccines (Pfizer) and DID test positive for Covid once (no symptoms).

Getting the Covid booster today!! Will get the flu vaccine when it’s time.

Don’t want ’em, don’t get ’em!

RSV kills only about 100 infants per year in the US.

    RSV results in:

58,000-80,000 hospitalizations among children younger than 5 years old.
Roughly 60,000-120,000 hospitalizations among adults 65 years and older.

To reduce spread, practice good hand hygiene, wash hands often, sanitize objects, wear a mask as needed, get vaccinated if you are around infants/seniors/chronically ill.

Ironically, the social distancing, hygiene and masking reduced RSV and influenza dramatically!!
