After seeing the jump in Trump’s poll numbers, Brandon orders FBI to raid his home too.

    This day in history:

1992 – FBI HRT sniper Lon Horiuchi shoots and kills Vicki Weaver during an 11-day siege at her home at Ruby Ridge, Idaho. She was holding a baby at the time, obviously a threat. Horiuchi says “I was just following orders.”
Worked for the Nazis, didn’t it?

Liz Cheney is leaving Congress $37 million richer than when she entered.
    6 years at a salary $174,000 a year adds up to $1,044,000.
Where did the other $36 million come from?

    Maybe we should ask Nancy.

That’s why there’s such “wealth” disparity today. The democommies keep grabbing what we get through our ability and redistribute it to themselves according to their needs. It’s simple commie economics. They hate Trump who entered politics a billionaire and gave his entire salary as president away but don’t blink an eye at all these crooked politicians and bureaucrats who enter politics with no real money and retire millionaires. The privileged few.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

According to her 2020 Personal Financial Disclosure former, Cheney declared her net worth was estimated between $10,422,023 and $44,140,000.

In 2018 it was reported between $7 million and $15 million. Her net worth could have DECREASED from 2018 to 2020! She’s a piker compared to many in Congress.

It’s no wonder that our Congress (both R’s and D’s) supports the wealthy and largely ignores the working and middle classes. Most of the wealthy in Congress come into Congress wealthy and get wealthier just as trump did.

America is a plutocracy (rule by the wealthy).

As of 2021, the top 25:

        25. Rep. Ralph Norman, (R-SC) $20,679,156
        24. Rep. Sara Jacobs, (D-CA) $21,428,125
        23. Rep. John Rose, (R-TN) $23,362,065
        22. Rep. Fred Upton, (R-MI) $24,692,218
        21. Rep. Dean Phillips, (D-MI) $24,778,495
        20. Rep. Kevin Hern, (R-OK) $26,761,380
        19. Rep. Kathy Manning, (D-NC) $27,202,287
        18. Rep. Don Beyer, (D-VA) $29,805,092
        17. Rep. David Trone, (D-MD) $32,927,094
        16. Rep. Jay Obernolte, (R-CA) $39,250,014
        15. Rep. Scott Peters, (D-CA) $39,738,062
        14. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, (D-CA) $46,123,051
        13. Rep. Suzan DelBene, (D-WA) $52,156,097
        12. Rep. Peter Meijer, (R-MI) $60,514,285
        11. Rep. Roger Williams, (R-TX) $67,438,045
        10. Rep. Doris Matsui, (D-CA) $73,872,062
        9. Rep. Trey Hollingsworth, (R-IN) $74,629,062
        8. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, (D-CT) $85,231,232
        7. Sen. Mitt Romney, (R-UT) $85,269,083
        6. Sen. Mark Warner, (D-VA) $93,534,098
        5. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, (D-VA) $96,518,036
        4. Rep. Vern Buchanan, (R-FL) $113,384,088
        3. Rep. Darrell Issa, (R-CA) $115,850,012
        2. Rep. Michael McCaul, (R-TX) $125,880,292
        1. Sen. Rick Scott, (R-FL) $200,327,223

The five least-wealthy members of Congress. These five members’ negative estimated wealth stemmed from high-priced mortgages:

Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, a Democrat from California: -$1,008,000
Rep. Steven Horsford, a Democrat from Nevada: -$1,047,992
Sen. Cynthia Lummis, a Republican from Wyoming: -$1,401,991
Sen. Tammy Duckworth, a Democrat from Illinois: -$1,877,936
Rep. August Pfluger, a Republican from Texas: -$2,000,002

        • david7134 says:

          Jeff,
Do you consider someone who has a negative balance to be a good guy? Sounds like they are a dumbass, like you.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

diva: Do you consider someone who has a negative balance to be a good guy?

I’m really only familiar with Sen Duckworth and she is indeed a good person.

Being in debt is hardly enabling.

There is no guarantee that the multi-millionaires in Congress align with the working and middle classes.

          • david7134 says:

            Jeff,
So if you are a hard working person and fortunate enough to accumulate some wealth, that is not taken by the government, you can not understand the needs of those less fortunate. If we elect a bunch of wet backs, are they able to identify with the rest of us?

  4. Elwood P. Dowd says:

Trump lackey John Solomon released a detailed letter from the US Archives proving that the gov’t requested the missing documents long, long ago.

The letter clearly shows that former president Trump was notified as of early May 2022 that the FBI was being notified that Trump still had documents at Mar a Lago (in addition to the 15 boxes already retrieved) in defiance of US law.

One of the former president’s list of excuses is that all the Archives had to do is ask. Demonstrably, just another Trump lie.

    • CarolAnn says:

So you think a dispute between a Republican president and the Archives constitutes not only a raid by armed federal agents on his home but your accusation of treason? But Berger stuffing docs in his pants and destroying them and Hillary destroying over 3-0,000 emails and having a server in her bathroom and Obama taking an estimated 33 million classified docs is okay because?

So absolutely no consideration should be given, no private negotiations between parties just raid the guy? That’s what we would expect from a constitution denier like yourself. We have come to expect provocative acts with zero consideration of a person’s rights if they dare disagree with the nazis in power. You are really a despot and a bully.

  5. CarolAnn says:

Curiously, would you consider leaving our southern border unprotected and not only allowing but encouraging foreigners to invade our country treason?

  6. david7134 says:

    Jeff,
You cry and carry on about those less fortunate and lazy, but you support programs and actions to make the lives of these folks much worse. Maybe if you supported actions to improve the lives of these people, other than just handing out our money, we would believe you truly had an interest.

I have no problem with the wealthy being our leaders, this was the intent of the founders of the country. It has worked well until voting was congregated in such a manner so that the lazy assholes in our country could vote in programs that results in the robbery of honest hard working citizens. Our founders did set up a system of restricting voting to those of property, which is far superior than the universal suffrage that we are stuck with today.

But as to your pathos, why don’t you give more to the poor, though your fortunes have been much reduced due to your stupidity. But we can find nothing in the past suggesting that you do anything but bitch and desire for the establishment of global communism which does not or will not do anything more than make everyone, but the elite, extremely poor. You are not part of the elite.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

      diva,

You’re an elitist, democracy-hating, white christian nationalist who made his fortune grifting government largesse.

      • david7134 says:

        Jeff,
That is just the problem, we don’t live in a democracy. And I can’t stand universal suffrage, it has destroyed every country that employed it. If you can’t understand the problems with such a system, it does little to explain as you need more education.

Quite the weekend. The melody of gunfire wafting across the Delaware from North Philly mixed with the stench of human excrement (or is it the smell of the river?) made for a lovely summer night in scenic Camden NJ. My wife and I decided to go for a ride to AC for some fun. You know, just get away for the evening. The first thing to greet our eyes in AC were about 6-8 teens beating the hell out of a car with bats, sticks and bricks. What the guy in the car did to gain the wrath of the “hoods” we don’t know, but we drove on to the Borgata and parked our electric Tesla with the valet. LOL, we parked our 2013 Hyundai ourselves. Had a fair night. I lost as usual but the wife won $1200. No doubt the IRS will be after us.

When we got back to our palatial home the street was blocked by cop cars. Seems the shootings continued till midnight. I dropped the wife off so she could skedaddle into the house before she got shot while I had to park a block away and take my chances on the walk home. I love living amid what 50 years of democrat rule has created.

Ever thought of moving. Many in places like yours are coming south. We have a few Dem controlled cities with the expected crime and hate, but it is possible to find a place with some sanity.

  8. Elwood P. Dowd says:

    CarolAnn,

Trump illegally took boxes of classified documents that he stashed in his one of his residences. The National Archives negotiated with him to retrieve some but not all. For reasons only trump knows, he squirreled away boxes of documents that he refused to give up. He was warned in May that the National Archives had no choice but to notify the FBI unless Trump returned the materials. On June 6, DOJ officials met with Trump folks at Mar a Lago to resolve the issue. No dice.

Read the letter from the Archives to Trump’s lawyers that Trump surrogate John Solomon released yesterday, likely by accident.

Trump’s treason was not taking the classified documents but in his scheme to overturn the 2020 election which culminated in the Jan 6 attack on America.

Berger was punished for his crime, Hillary and Obama didn’t commit crimes.

    • drowningpuppies says:

Rimjob: Hillary and Obama didn’t commit crimes.

      Fucking looney tunes.
As has been stated before, Rimjob’s grasp of history is laughable.

    • david7134 says:

      Jeff,
The letter is a joke. I am not sure what Archives is trying to achieve, but it sounds just like the so-called Russia affair and Trump’s attempted investigation of The Biden crime family. You allow your emotions to cloud your judgement and objective reasoning. Why do you allow Trump to dominate your life.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

        diva,

tRump is the only president to commit treason… and he wants a reprise. And the nuGOPhers want to help in.

You allow your emotions to cloud your judgement and objective reasoning. Why do you allow tRump to dominate your life?

        • david7134 says:

          Jeff,
You have never defined Trump’s treason. It does not help to repeat the comments of people superior to you.

          • The Liberal but not libertarian Elwood P. Dowd says:

            diva,

Trump engineered a failed coup. tRump, Eastman, Giuliani, Powell, Flynn and several Congressional GOPhers, hatched a multipronged scheme to create “alternative” (fake/scam) electors in battleground states; he urged VP Pence to NOT perform his Constitutionally-mandated but ceremonial role of certifying the vote. Trump called battleground state legislators to DC to “persuade” them to give him their state’s win. His coup de grace was to send thousands of thugs to the Capitol AT EXACTLY THE INSTANT THE CONGRESSIONAL VOTE CERTIFICATION WAS TAKING PLACE to give his gang of thug lawyers a chance to get to the Supreme Court for more shenanigans.

            That’s treason.

The diva justifies the treason by imagining the election was stolen, but didn’t have the courage to join in the “rebellion” on Jan 6.

          • drowningpuppies says:

Nice little fantasy you got there, Rimjob.

Didja get that from Raw Story?

          • david7134 says:

Opps, kindle again, quite supposed to be quiet.

    • drowningpuppies says:

A history lesson for the dimwitted Rimjob:

2011 – Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is overthrown after the National Transitional Council forces take control of Bab al-Azizia compound during the 2011 Libyan civil war. Freed of despotic ruler by the sterling ministrations of Barack Obama and Hillary “Why ain’t I your freakin’ PRESIDENT?” Clinton, and left to the natural inclinations characteristic of all Islamic Middle Eastern and North African societies, Libya ascends to become a beacon of peace, fairness and prosperity, a fitting example of the Obama foreign policy initiatives as helped along by Hillary Clinton’s statesmanship and wisdom. Right?!?
