Biden Seems Happy With High Energy Prices

Of course he does. It’d be easy to argue that the cost of energy spikes, especially fuel, are just from irresponsible and lazy policies. Most likely, it is intentional

Of course, he’s not worried about it, as you the taxpayer pick up the tab for his constant fossil fueled travel

(NY Post) Out of touch as ever, President Biden celebrated record-high gas prices Monday, gushing that the pump pain was part of “an incredible transition” of the US economy away from fossil fuels.

“[When] it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” Biden said during a press conference in Japan following his meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

The president then insisted that his administration’s actions, rather than increasing the price of gas, had actually been able to “keep it from getting worse — and it’s bad.”

So, of course, Let’s Go Brandon’s supporters are going to come out with pieces in support

Is the spike in gas prices good for America?

The average price of gasoline at the pump in the U.S. last week was $4.58 a gallon. It will doubtless spike up to $5.00 before too long as it is already above $6 in California.

U.S. gas prices are cheap compared to Europe. If you fancy traveling to London for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the price is $5.79; if you love Paris in the springtime, it’s $5.54; and if you want to see the pope, Rome is $5.96. Some countries you might like to visit are even higher. (snip)

There is a political problem with high gas prices. They are a hardship on working Americans as prices rise overall in an inflated economy. Gasoline costs may amount to $5,000 a year for a heavily taxed family.

But in the long run, an inflated price for gasoline is, I would argue, good for the environment. It may encourage people to take carpools to work, to bicycle and walk more. This will improve health and welfare.

The price spike may further spur the development of battery-driven cars. Both Ford and General Motors have said they will be manufacturing all-electric fleets by 2030. I never thought I would live to see the day.

So, it’s part of the plan to force Americans into unaffordable EVs? They’re intentionally skyrocketing fuel costs, which increase the costs of everything? Food, goods, you name it?

Diesel Fuel Costs Soaring — Up 75% from Last Year

The cost of diesel fuel — used by farmers and truckers to supply Americans with the products they need — has increased 75 percent over the past year.

The national average for diesel fuel is $5.61 a gallon, according to the American Automobile Association’s (AAA) May 16 report.

Do you know what gets delivered by diesel trucks? Food. If truckers/companies are paying more for fuel, they pass that on. Team Biden is intentionally causing pain to Americans.

How did President Biden raise gas prices in Norway, Germany, Japan, England, Korean, France, Canada, Sweden, Hong Kong, China, Russia, India etc? Gas is $9.23/gal in Denmark. $8.12/gal in Israel!

How is President Biden keeping your gasoline prices so low?

      Dear Elwood:

Comparing prices between countries is useless without considering all the other issues. In England, like it or not, healthcare is state provided. Germany’s infrastructure is newer because they rebuilt it while we protected them from the USSR. Train service is reliable and cheap through out Europe, but Germany is only about the size of WI…

Reasonable gasoline prices didn’t seem to be a problem when President Trump was leading the country.

We didn’t have a pandemic start that killed over 1 million Americans when President Obama led America. That pandemic started when tRump was president and appears to be ending under President Biden.

The unemployment rate was low (~4%) when tRump took office but over 8% when he was finally forced to leave after one term. Under President Biden’s leadership the unemployment rate has plunged to under 4%.

      Thank you President Biden!!

Dowd, we all know the truth of the Chinese virus which was not created by Trump nor ended by FJB. It’s a disease moron, follow the science. You are following your politics.

The FJB junta stole an election, ruined the economy and is selling America down the river. And you’re all for it. One thing about you commies. You’ll never admit when you’re wrong.

FJB and his high energy prices and economy killing inflation.

Translation: the inflated prices for fuel may force people to make changes in their lifestyles that they do not want to make, but because I think it’s for their own good, that’s just TFB for them.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Market forces force people to make changes in their lifestyles that they do not want to make all the dang time!

High taxes on cigarettes reduce smoking, saving lives. High gas prices will force people to look for ways to conserve, reducing morbidity and mortality.

The steamed Mr Dana typed: ‘It’s for their own good,’ the left cry, as though what’s for our own good is anybody’s business but our own.

We quite intentionally did not specify whose morbidity and mortality would be reduced, predicting that nuCons would cry “leave muh freedum alone!!”. Bingo.

It’s for their own good which, ain’t nobody’s business but my own*, but it’s also for the good of their neighbors, their fellow Americans, their children, their brothers and sisters.

American nuCons have selfishly withdrawn from the common good. Clean air and clean water is everyone’s responsibility. Slowing global warming is everyone’s responsibility. Slowing pandemic spread is everyone’s responsibility.

            Dear Elwood:

“…Slowing global warming is everyone’s responsibility.”
The most important thing to remember about climate models which are used to project future global warming is that they were “tuned” with the assumption I started this article with: that the climate system is in a natural state of energy balance, and that there is no long-term climate change unless humans cause it.

This is an arbitrary and illogical assumption. The climate system is an example of a “nonlinear dynamical system”, which means it can change all by itself. For example, slow changes in the rate of vertical overturning of the world’s oceans can cause global warming (or global cooling) with no “external forcing” of the climate system whatsoever.

Instead, the climate models are “tuned” to not produce natural climate change. If a 100-year run of the model produces change, the model is adjusted to removed the “drift”.”

I trying to educate you but it looks hopeless.

Try harder. Write the big words down and look them up.

Dowd: “American nuCons have selfishly withdrawn from the common good. Clean air and clean water is everyone’s responsibility.”

Whatever you consider to be an “American nuCon” no one on our side (the normal side) has withdrawn from the common good and none has determined nor advocated for dirty air and dirty water. What we have done which is what the American commieLeft refuses to do is approach climate change (which is NOT clean air or water) with astute scientific skepticism and has found the entire hysteric cult wanting.

You state the obvious then seem to accuse others with whom you disagree politically of being the enemy of the commonwealth. We are not however in your normal nuCommie style you project strenuously.

We believe life ain’t worth living if one is not free therefore we are looking for a pragmatic balance between environmentalism and Liberty which allows for the care of our earth while preserving our Freedom. You and all your comrades seem more than willing to forgo the latter to attain the former. That is unacceptable.

“Slowing global warming is everyone’s responsibility. Slowing pandemic spread is everyone’s responsibility.”

Once you present a viable and provable scenario proving the existence of man made global warming (which is the only kind we can control) we are more than willing to consider viable means to approach the problem. But, as long as you run around hysterically making all kinds of silly predictions which never pan out we will ignore your silly rants. You and your commie friends may be willing to destroy our society, culture, future, economy and nation chasing some nebulous theory but we are not.

Your answer to every problem is more government power over the people. Just like Stalin. Yet it seems all the good workable solutions are derived from private individuals solving problems for themselves.

You will learn a lesson in November when we get to vote on everything you commies have done for the last two tears. Unless you steal another election this should serve as a warning for 2024. And if this next election is stolen be prepared to meet the end of America because it cannot continue with fake elections and 2000 mules doing your dirty work.

Fuck Joe Biden misses the point. By 1.61 km.

Just because you don’t ‘believe in’ global warming doesn’t mean the Earth isn’t warming. The right opposes global warming interventions today the same way they opposed clean air and clear water regulations in the past.

The point is, of course, that in a society we have obligations to our neighbors as well as to ourselves. Smoking is restricted in closed spaces to reduce not just your lung cancer and COPD but lung damage to those around you. Your ‘right’ to protect your family with a .223 AR-15 rifle contributes to 19 children being murdered in Uvalde, TX. Sometimes your ‘freedom’ kills kids.

But relax. The globe’s people will not do anything significant to slow global warming. We’ll piddle along to 2C more, 3C more… but we won’t have to worry as we’ll be dead. But our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will have to deal with it, and they will.

You do understand that someone making $600 a week cannot afford to spend $100. a week on gas…

Oh wait… I know… They can just buy an electric vehicle…

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

          Dear James,

It’s true that the ‘vertical overturning’ of the oceans can lead to short-term increases and decreases in the measured global mean surface temperature. Look at the temperature record. Up in 1998 (El Nino). Down in 1999-2001 (La Nina). Up in 2016 (El Nino). Down in 2017 (La Nina).

Yet, the trend is up. Year after year. It’s approximately 0.5°C warmer today than in 1990! Where does the increased heat come from? Our Sun!! Why doesn’t it escape to deep space at the same rate as a century ago?

By all means keep pasting the ramblings of Dr Spencer. It’s unlikely you understand what you’re pasting.

Global oil prices are not under the control of any POTUS
    They ste controlled by OPEC+
Perhaps if Iraq agreed to sell us cheap oil cause we gave them FREEDOMS our gas prices might? Be lower.
Or perhaps if we did not allow 100 million gallons of gas fueled JP5 to be exported they might be lower.
Or we could just sugly blame zbiden and pay through the ass for gas.
Maybe Texas will pass a ban on foreign export? Nahhh our oil companies deserve to make the most profits possible after all we are not socialists we are free market capitalists!!!

    • James Lewis says:

Hairy, the thing is this…. The prices started rising the next day after Biden was declared the winner…and haven’t slowed…

      Obviously a coincidence.

    • Ultra MAGA says:

One more time Hairy for you economically retarded leftists: When costs rise, profits rise. The reason is if the profit on a gallon of gas is 10% then if that gallon costs $1 to create the big bad oil company makes .10 cents. If the costs of that product increases to $2 then the big bad oil company makes .20 cents. The big bad oil company just doubled its profits and you’d be bitching about it.

There are a lot of things that effect the price of oil in the world markets. Limiting Americas pipelines, closing leases, refusing to grant profitable drilling areas like ANWAR and off shore are just some of them.

I assume you feel that the guy who ON DAY ONE began eliminating America’s oils independence is in NO WAY responsible for our high priced oil. Even after he pledged during his campaign to raise the price of oil and force Americans into EV’s even though there is no way to charge 250 million EV’s with our current energy capacity.

None of you leftists think beyond your political desires and none of you either consider nor care about other people’s desires or needs. You want what you want when you want it and fuck everybody else.

      • Facts Matter says:

The only issue I have is that Under GWB oil went to 150 dollars per BBL and gasoline was only barely breaking 400 per gallon. Even with inflation, it was nowhere near the prices we are seeing today.

The real issue with gasoline prices today is that the government, I firmly believe has given the oil and gas companies permission to hike the shit out of gasoline prices….in essence because the left wants to destroy oil and gasoline and leave the USA a beggar nation, held hostage by China and The USSR. Because once the USA collapses the new world order will ensue and when the USA collapses the EU will be plummeting off the cliff with us.

So while oil companies might be making a bit more money, with inflation they are not making less today than they did in 2005-2007 under Bush. This is what happens when you let leftists infiltrate corporations and take them over.

There is an inevitability to the destruction of the Western world by Communist China, aided by the newly forming USSR that cannot be stopped. Right now China is hardening their billionaires and their leaders in the CCP against Sanctions which means they have something planned that is counter productive to EU/USA.

To destroy ones own world in order to push a political agenda can only mean one thing in my mind. People who fight in the streets for AGW and who pound their keyboards daily for a decade are paid to do so. It is no secret Antifa was flying people from one hot spot to the next to riot.

Why? Because in reality there are only about 1 million leftists lunatics in the USA but the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Its time for the Right to SQUEAK BACK before it is TOO FUKING LATE!!!

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

So gasoline well over $4.00 a gallon in 2007-2008 is nothing like gasoline well over $4.00 a gallon today? Even adjusting for inflation?

And the cause is the U.S. gov’t and NWO giving multinational oil companies permission to raise prices to destroy America and the west?

The world has caught some bad breaks the past few years. The coronavirus pandemic being the worst. Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Now, global inflation as the pandemic winds down – that whole supply vs demand thing.

          • Facts Matter says:

July 7, 2008—Crude oil prices settled-in at a new record of $147 per barrel. The U.S. average price for regular gasoline climbs to an all-time high of $4.11 per gallon. Road trip style vacations are put on hold for many summer travelers.

Nov. 3, 2008—U.S. Gas prices drop to $1.72 a gallon. Some gas stations even roll out a $.99 cent promotional deal. Treehuggers question whether the sudden drop is as good as most consumers seem to think it is.

Dec. 19, 2008—After weeks of negotiation, Bush approves the emergency bailout of the U.S. auto industries big three, giving them $17.4 billion in rescue loans. Treehugger questions whether the government is doing the right thing.

Just sort of a year in review. The record average was 4.11 as prices soared leading to the implosion of the US economy. After the housing bubble collapsed and the DEMS hiked the minimum wage.

            Once again.

They hike wages, oil prices skyrocket and the stock market is now collapsing as inflation and recession looms.

Does anyone care to guess where all this is heading Elwood since now it is a quadruple world whammy?

Its all a political game designed to destroy the West. The USA/EU/Australia/Japan/Korea. Kill them off and it leaves China, The USSR and cronies in charge.

  6. James Lewis says:

“…..London for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the price is $5.79;….

1 Imperial gallon is 4.8 US quarts. So 10 Imperial gallons would be 48 US quarts or 12 gallons which would cost $54.00 US

  7. Jl says:

But aren’t liberals the ones who profess to take care of the poor among us? Way to go, Brandon…

    • Ultra MAGA says:

Well JI, the United States in particular has made “taking care of the poor” or as the leftists now call them “the underserved” (like they’re in a restaurant) has been the false claim of democrats, socialists, communists and now the BLM/Antifa crew and black/minority proponents for at least 7 decades and look where the poor are now!

In the big cities, almost entirely controlled by democrat leftists since before most of us were born are shitholes of black/colored crime, drugs, illegitimacy and vermin. Unemployment, 2nd, 3rd and fourth generational welfare is rampant, unwed mothers. and single parent families along with abortion as birth control are the norm. Black on black crime, black on white crime, black on brown crime and black on yellow crime is so normalized it rarely even makes the big city papers any more.

The democrat left has an inbred hate for humanity and life itself. That ideal (if you can call it that) goes all the way back to their love of slavery, their attempt to rip apart the republic in civil war in America as well as the millions of bodies piled up around the globe from the actions of leftists are uncountable. Even today millions of unborn are genocided around the world because of the lefts hate for God and man. There can be no other explanation.

So even while the left hates all American traditions and culture because it was created by those racist White, Christian men they are in a constant turmoil to introduce more and newer ways to limit everyone’s freedom (except theirs of course cause they are special), corrupt every segment of society and even destroy the memories of what built and what is America.

Hate, death and destruction is in the DNA of American leftists. It ain’t going away until we make them go away and we can’t vote them out now that they count the votes.

      FJB and all the leftists.
