Now, imagine if a Conservative group blocked all the White House entrances: they would be called domestic terrorists and the city would deploy lots of cops and ask for the National Guard

AOC joins climate change protesters accused of blocking entrance to WH

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., joined hundreds of protesters outside the White House on Monday demanding that the Biden administration devotes more attention to climate change, particularly in his massive infrastructure package.

Protesters from the Sunrise Movement gathered outside the White House to tell President Biden that he is not “fulfilling his climate promises.”

“We need this infrastructure bill to meet the intersecting crisis this country is facing,” the group tweeted. A photo that was shared on the group’s Twitter account claimed to show Secret Service agents arresting some members at the White House’s entrance. Some of the signs read, “#NoClimateNoDeal.”

She does know she can submit specific legislation in the House for her climate crisis (scam) beliefs, right? How’s that Green New Deal going? The one she submitted in February 2019 and still hasn’t demanded a vote on.

Is she a protester or an elected Representative? Will she give up her own use of fossil fuels to fly to and from NYC? Of course, it doesn’t seem she spends much time in her district talking to her constituents.

Ocasio-Cortez cautioned Biden against compromising on a bipartisan infrastructure package, calling on the White House to avoid being “limited by Republicans” on the size and scope of the next economic spending bill.

“In those areas where there is agreement, Republicans are more than welcome to join so that we can get this work on infrastructure done,” Ocasio-Cortez said during an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “But that doesn’t mean the president should be limited by Republicans, particularly when we have a House majority, we have 50 Democratic senators and we have the White House.”

She should remember that Democrats won’t always control Congress and the White House. And not to whine when the GOP pushes stuff through in this manner.

    Canada set a new all-time high temperature record for a third day in a row Tuesday, reaching 121 degrees Fahrenheit (49.5 degrees Celsius) in Lytton, British Columbia, about 155 miles (250 kilometers) east of Vancouver, the country’s weather service, Environment Canada, reported.

    Yeah, but it’s a dry heat.

        Is this the voluntary program he so fears?

        Austin Energy has the voluntary Power Partner Program, which allows it “to manage energy use when demand is at its highest.”

        “During a Power Partner event Austin Energy will adjust the temperature setting on your Internet-connected thermostat,” the company’s website reads. Temperature adjustments can be between two and four degrees. The company said it will alert customers before an event takes place on their thermostat app or thermostat display itself.

        Additionally, events can only take place in the afternoons on weekdays between June 1 and Sept. 30, excluding holidays, according to Austin Energy’s website. Events will not last more than two hours, and the number of events Austin Energy can initiate during the summer is 25. Before an event, Austin Energy said there is a “pre-cooling” period that will allow your residence to reach a comfortable temperature before thermostats are raised.

        Austin Energy claims the program helps lower electricity costs, ensures even energy distribution and helps prevent power outages.

        Don’t sign up. If you accidentally signed up, just opt out.

        What to do about global warming? Reduce CO2 emissions and/or develop methods to “capture” carbon dioxide.

    We didn’t see any reports of the protesters storming the White House, breaking down doors and windows, or physically attacking police officers. Your insurrectionists comprised a violent mob intent on compromising our democratic processes.

      A group calling themselves “Sunrise Movement” created what some people might deem an insurrection. Fortunately, none were wearing MAGA hats so no unarmed protestors were shot by mystery guards. Dozens were supposedly arrested . . .

      Meanwhile

      A 49-year-old grandmother named Anna Morgan-Lloyd was directed by her attorney to denounce her whiteness prior to appearing before a federal judge to account for her crime of January 6th, 2021, in which she stands accused of “parading”– yes, parading– through an open Capitol door. She’s lucky she didn’t get the death penalty, considering the vicious clowns in charge of Washington, D.C. — and therefore the rest of the formerly United States — today.
