Climate Today: High Flying Kerry, Patronizing Blacks, Eczema

Let’s see what climate envoy John Kerry (he was in Vietnam, you know) is up to

US climate envoy Kerry meets with pope on climate crisis

John Kerry, President Joe Biden’s climate envoy, met privately with Pope Francis on Saturday, afterward calling the pope a “compelling moral authority on the subject of the climate crisis” who has been “ahead of the curve.”

The former U.S. Secretary of State told Vatican News that the pope’s embrace of climate issues “hopefully can push people to greater ambition to get the job done.”

Kerry is visiting European capitals to strengthen cooperation on climate change ahead of the next round of U.N. climate talks in Glasgow this November.

What makes the Pope a moral authority on Hotcoldwetdry? What degrees in science, particularly climate and weather, does he hold? Perhaps he should stick with that whole Catholic thing. But, if he is a moral authority, perhaps he should ask Kerry why he’s taking so many fossil fueled flights and low MPG fossil fueled vehicles.

Biden’s climate agenda targets Black America with innovation, HBCU funding

Exclusive: The Biden-Harris administration is expanding electric vehicle power stations into Black neighborhoods and is investing in HBCU renewable energy research

The Biden administration is putting Black America at the center of the solution for climate change by expanding electric vehicle power stations into Black neighborhoods and dumping funds into HBCU renewable energy research.

In an exclusive interview with theGrio, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm discussed this engagement as part of President Biden’s equity initiative that sparks tangible creativity and innovation from people who are not normally at the table or in the research lab.

And this will do what, exactly? Most blacks (and whites and Latinos and Asians) can’t afford an EV, so, how does putting lots of charging stations help? Heck, it’s not like they’re even going to get money out of this. And dumping funds into Historical Black Colleges? What does this have to do with the climate crisis (scam)? Sounds more like a payoff for getting Joe elected and a bribe for 2024.

Yes, Climate Change May Be Contributing to Your Eczema Flare Ups

On the (extensive) list of global warming’s negative effects is something that may surprise you: Climate change triggers eczema (medically referred to as atopic dermatitis) to flare up or become worse due to degraded air quality and increased pollution. “Interestingly, there was a recent study that looked into the effects of the California wildfires on rates of atopic dermatitis,” says dermatologist Valerie Harvey, MD. “They found that visits to the dermatologist increased for both kids and adults [during that time], compared to when there were none. Symptoms of itch were also higher.”

While increasing the prevalence and extent of wildfires are just some of the effects of climate change, Dr. Harvey says that this isn’t just a concern for people on the West Coast or an areas at high-risk for them. Ninety-percent of the world’s population lives in places with poor air quality, and air pollution is the greatest environmental hazard to human health, according to research. Still, Dr. Harvey points out that more research needs to be conducted to gain a better understanding of the relationship between the inflammatory skin condition and environmental factors.

Most wildfires occur because of some idiot or negligence starting them, either by accident or intentionally. A tiny increase in CO2 and the air temperature has little to do with pollutants nor bad air quality. A 1.5F increase since 1850 is tiny. Though, the urban heat island effect can artificially increase the local temperature, which can lead to worse air quality, let’s be honest. But, it isn’t global warming. And this is really more about scaremongering.

        Lol
Fisnt you just get a gigantic low interest loan from those dastardly Federales?

        • Kye says:

You do realize they took the money from me to begin with, forcibly closed our business, caused us to loose hundreds of thousands in income while continuing to pay hundreds of thousands in expenses but now you claim I’m doing something wrong by taking the money THEY OFFER TO EVERYONE? FU dingbat.

I’m also collecting for renting to “refugees” which I don’t want here but if you commies are handing out money I’m smart enough to take it. Why is it okay for Elon Musk to take government money but suddenly Kye should be excluded?

Our NGO just bought a double duplex in Philly we will be renting to the government also but not until after the 6/30 settlement date. In case you don’t know “city talk” a double duplex has 4 apartments in this case all 2 bedrooms that means 8 more lovely “refugees”. Cha-ching!

We are doing the best we can to help the senile idiot Junta solve the immigrant crisis he caused with his communist policies. What are you doing to solve this phony crisis? Nothin I’ll bet. The same thing you do to help the poor, build our country or pass on our heritage.

Oh, BTW I was referring to stealing our votes as the shakedown along with the faux climate scam and the bullshit Wuhan Plague. It’s all been a shakedown. Don’t be so sensitive, it worked! You lied and cheated us out of our Republic and gave us George Floyd and Critical race Theory to replace it. What Patriots you are.

Bill589: In CT the charging stations electricity comes from 85% burning coal.

That is incorrect. Connecticut produces about 36.1 TWh of electrical energy annually, with 47% from nuclear power and 46% from natural gas. Only 2% comes from coal.

  2. Kye says:

Hairy, you ungrateful POS, when I was 17 I volunteered for the US Army and needed the written consent of both my parents. After boot I volunteered for Vietnam service because I wanted to help our allies fight off the evil communists. I was wounded twice and still carry shrapnel near my right kidney from the second wound. I received the Bronze Star with a “V”. When I came home as I walked through 30th Street Station in Philly I was jeered at, had hot coffee thrown at my head, had my uniform burned by cigarettes and spat on.

At one point of my young life I did what all American warriors do. I signed that proverbial blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including my life. Payable forever. Now, soy boys and leftist phonies “thank me for my service” when their parents were those ungrateful slobs at the train station. They don’t mean it. I know they don’t mean it and they know I know they don’t mean it. They only act that way in the hopes that someday their leftist team can control the military enough to have men like me snuffed out.

If the leftists succeed it won’t be long before the rest of you realize we warriors were all that stood between you and the unbelievable pain and hatred of Tyranny. Then God help ya cause we won’t be here to..

You lickspittle wrote: “But at least being a religious man you must take some solace in helping those less fortunate than yourself as Jesus would want”. Well you little dipshit it so happens I do. For 30 years I’ve tithed 12% of my gross annual income to charity. Most of that time was to my church but when they turned away from what “Jesus would want” my wife and I sat down and decided to whom our annual charity would be given. We decided on splitting it between St. Josephs Hospital for Children, Covenant House and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. We gross significantly less than the Kameltoe Harris clan yet we give considerably more. That is usual for most of you leftists who are so selfish with your own money yet so generous with ours. BTW, we also do “extra” side donations which include an Indian Tribe, a cancer center and if something moves us we open our wallets. This year our charitable contributions totaled $38,000. How were yours? How were Xidens, I believe they were somewhere around $500. Also before my health made it impossible I ran a food bank, hosted holiday dinners for the poor, had a branch of Meals on Wheels and used my car and time to get elderly folks to doctor appointments and such. What have you done for others except challenge their integrity and morality with nasty inferences?

Revealing our charitable giving is not something I’ve done but since you implied sarcastically that I did not rise up to my obligation as a Christian I felt compelled to point out you don’t know, nor do you even attempt by asking, what you’re talking about.

I am not embarrassed by doing fairly well in business nor am I embarrassed by providing housing to the Junta for money. It’s their program, not mine. I am comfortable with what I’ve done for my country, are you? I can live with my sacrifices because I also can reflect on the Love I have for America. Do you? While you leftists try to find things to bitch about, riot about, burn loot and murder about we REAL Americans go quietly about helping others an loving and respecting our Nation, our Heritage and our good luck to have been born here.. All you do is complain and hate America.

Why do you leftists hate Whites, Christians, Jews and America?

      $30,704.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

      Kye,

Life is full of choices. John Kerry chose to go to Vietnam. As an impressionable teen you chose to go to Vietnam to kill communists – not to protect or defend the US, although that may have been what you believed at the time – but you were just a kid. Regardless of how unpopular the war was you should not have been criticized and mocked when you returned. My brother-in-law was a medevac pilot. He opposed the war but wanted to help others. He received a Silver Star and Distinguished Service Cross and was not jeered since he did not return home.

Your charitable claims are commendable. Good work. Yet you support an economic system that grinds down and exploits workers. Americans aren’t poor because they’re lazy or stupid, but because they are not paid enough to meet their families’ needs. Over the past 4 decades or so America has comforted the comfortable and afflicted the afflicted, not as a natural occurrence but by policy. Americans don’t need charity, they need to be paid fairly for their productivity. A dock worker exerts more than you, but you collect hundreds of thousands from taxpayers and he barely makes enough to feed and house himself. A 7-11 clerk stands for 8 hours a day while you collect hundreds of thousands from taxpayers and she hardly makes enough to feed and house herself. We suspect you also complain about your high taxes.

One can’t love America while hating the majority of Americans.

      • david7134 says:

        Jeff,
That is some comment, full of lies, ignorance, hate, and stupidity.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

          doogie hoser,

You know a lot about lies, ignorance, hate and stupidity.

      • Kye says:

First let me say that my “charity claims” (love how you try and cast doubt on my statement) are not mine alone but rather a decision I make with my wife. She works hard (as do I) for her money and has a say in whatever we do with it. I don’t write a five figure check without her input and approval. Over the years you have forced me to talk about my charitable giving. I find it very uncomfortable to reveal those personal things merely to defend my name against the usual innuendos of greed by using the same government programs you use and we all pay into as well as defending myself because I love America and you don’t. Similarly, I am not trying to contrast my military record with your brother-in-law’s. I was establishing my military credentials which you decided were apparently wrong and/or evil because you think I was too young to want to fight communism. Sorry, I was fighting for our allies to keep them Free. You don’t seem to have a grasp of that concept. Most leftists don’t.

Now, many Americans are poor because they are lazy or stupid or both. You know quite well that it is so yet deny it. Millions of Americans right now are refusing work because their lazy asses would rather collet overblown “Wuhan” checks than go to work. That’s a fact, Jack. Watch the news, read a paper.

If our system “Yet you support an economic system that grinds down and exploits workers” then why or how are we the wealthiest, most productive nation where people from all over come to seek their fortune? Exactly which policies are used by America to comfort the comfortable and afflict the afflicted, not as a natural occurrence but by policy.? And why over the 4 decades have you done nothing about it?

A dock worker may well “exert” more than I but that has no bearing on his economic value. A 7-11 clerk stands for 8 hours a day because that’s all she can do, again her economic value is low. I assume you think I should be prohibited from earning money by using my wits, experience and abilities because the produce more than dock workers and 7-11 clerks. Should you earn more than these people? Should the great billionaire demofascist Bezos? I see you are an “equity” believer rather than equality and that makes sense. Equity engenders hate and envy whereas equality evokes love, harmony, unity and gratitude.

I do complain about my high taxes, always have even when they weren’t high. It’s an American thing to do. But I still pay them Elwood. Every year like clockwork both business and personal. And I take advantage of every break and deduction I can avail myself of . Don’t you? I don’t believe in taxes on income they are immoral. Taxing away the fruits of a man’s labor is an abomination. I believe in consumption taxes. That would help settle that wealth disparity we don’t like. You can earn all you can but every dime you spend be it on housing, cars, TV’s Rolex’s will be taxed like heck. If you want to buy that $70 million yacht remember the tax is a bastard.

And once again you turn the topic around to how I hate the majority of Americans. And once again I must remind you that as my Lord has commanded I hate no one. Why, I don’t even hate Nazi Pelousey or Maxine Waters and they both truly deserve it. That hate bug you so often display is something you seem more comfortable with than we. I must assume you are full of a ton of hate for you to so easily throw it out on others. That’s classic projection Elwood. You need to get rid of that to be taken seriously.

Remember it is I who ask and you who refuses to reply:

Why do you hate White people?
        Why do you hate Christians?
        Why do you hate Jews?
        Why do you hate America?

I at least have enough respect for the issues and you to answer your accusations and assertions. Where are you?

It does little to advance the topic, or even to defend your reputation, to allow yourself to be provoked. Those who judge you by such standards will judge you regardless of any personal history.

Kye: Sorry, I was fighting for our allies to keep them Free.

They must see Americans as strange liberators. The Vietnamese people proclaimed their own independence in 1954 – in 1945 rather – after a combined French and Japanese occupation and before the communist revolution in China. They were led by Ho Chi Minh. Even though they quoted the American Declaration of Independence in their own document of freedom, we refused to recognise them. Instead, we decided to support France in its reconquest of her former colony. Our government felt then that the Vietnamese people were not ready for independence, and we again fell victim to the deadly Western arrogance that has poisoned the international atmosphere for so long. — Dr. King

          • Kye says:

“It does little to advance the topic, or even to defend your reputation, to allow yourself to be provoked. Those who judge you by such standards will judge you regardless of any personal history.”

Of course you are correct, Zachriel but I really object to having my reputation trashed by someone who has done very little himself to stand by America, aid the less fortunate via money, food or other means or try and make our great nation color blind. I actually believe in equality, not equity. In fact the very idea of equity only raised it’s ugly racist head recently and under the CRT and 1619 Project propaganda as far as I can tell.

But my bona fides go back to the civil rights era where my sister and I marched in the South. It continues through Vietnam and regardless of what you think I went to help the Vietnamese because I believe it was my duty to my country and humanity to fight communism. And I still do. My first wife being Jewish should put any anti Semitism to sleep and my current wife being Asian as wel as having two foster sons who are black should, except for the most closed of minds, neuter any idea of White supremacy or racism. Yet because I’m not some follow the crowd leftist with a brain full of mush the Red commentator finds fault with me in every regard,

I know it’s a no win situation because those with low morals can always impinge the integrity of those of us who regard morality and generosity and Freedom virtues. I keep getting sucked in but I’ll try harder to ignore the guy.

BTW, Dr. King is entitled to his view and I’m entitled to mine. I’m not going to argue the geopolitical environment of Vietnam because that’s not why I went. I went to defend some of the most beautiful people on earth from the most evil ideology on earth. If you fault me for that then you need to do a deep introspective on yourself.

          • Zachriel says:

Kye: I went to defend some of the most beautiful people on earth from the most evil ideology on earth.

We didn’t attack your motive, but the wisdom of a war to reimpose colonialism.

I have never talked or corresponded with a person knowledgeable in Indochinese affairs who did not agree that had elections been held as of the time of the fighting, possibly 80 per cent of the population would have voted for the Communist Ho Chi Minh as their leader — Dwight Eisenhower

          • david7134 says:

            Z,
As I have said before, you definitely are not a very gifted individual. You have been taught some trash about colonialism. Certainly the French tried to restore there ill gotten domain. But you have no idea of the real history for US involvement. Certain we had to work with a strange situation. Eisenhower started some of the involvement by sending in advisors as the North had opted for communism and the US was intent on controlling this idiotic type of control. Now little creeps like you think you are so intelligent by endorsing this control yet have no idea as to what it is. No, your books are worthless in detailing the true evil.

Then the oh so great Kennedy went all in on involvement when he had been advised not to. Kennedy was not very good, yet you are told he was great. After his death LBJ really ramped up the troops. His motivation was that he was selling helicopter and ammunition to the military. The man was as corrupt as Biden.

As a young guy, we faced the draft, which was not pleasant and hated by all. You will face this in the next few years due to the war Biden will get us in. But at the end of the day and with the initial mood of the of the country, Kye did the right thing for his country and should be honored as such. He faced crap that you can not imagine. His efforts were instrumental in making the country that we had back then safe as the efforts were aimed at control and they did that win or lose. You owe him respect, but I am sure you are not bright enough to see that.

            Now, wars in the US:
Revolution….supported by only 30% and was pointless as it was only over helping out a bunch of smugglers.

            1812…absolutely no reason

Mexican….land grabs and support of slavery

            Spanish…secondary to media hype

WWI….started by liberal to save democracy, stupidest statement ever. We had more reason to fight with Germany.

WWII..? Even at the time polls showed people had no idea why we were fighting. Started by a liberal idiot who provoked the combatants.

            Korea… not our war

Gulf wars.? Started by liberals, yes Bush’s are liberal know them, no reason for the wars.

No, Vietnam actually had more purpose than any other.

          • Zachriel says:

david7134: Certainly the French tried to restore there ill gotten domain.

Yes, and the U.S. supported them in that role and helped prevent a democratic election that had been agreed upon under the Geneva Accords.

david7134: But you have no idea of the real history for US involvement.

What we know if that the U.S. predictably blundered into disaster in Vietnam.

    • Zachriel says:

Yes. It was a betrayal of the Vietnamese people and their aspirations for independence and self-determination.

david7134: Yet you defend the same action in our own election last year. Why is that?

The attempt to stop the democratic process on 1/6 is certainly something to be decried.

The US has never been about self determination. Remember the Civil War? That was a battle against self determination, and don’t give us hearts and flowers about the poor slaves. Or we can point to the extermination of the Indian, certainly used by Hitler to justify his actions, didn’t know that I bet.

At the end, who gives a rats damn about the Vietnamese, at least that was the attitude of the Dems/ liberals/ socialist on 75 when the country was overrun.

A movement that threatens violent revolution after losing an election is a movement that no longer supports democracy or America.
