Santorum Challenges Huntsman On Climate Change Hoax

Not sure why he bothers, Huntsman’s campaign is going nowhere in the slow lane. From Talking Points Memo

Santorum on Friday singled out Huntsman for accepting the scientific consensus on manmade activities being a significant contributor to global warming — and did not talk at all about Huntsman’s belief in evolution, despite his own long political history of questioning evolutionary science and advocating for the teaching of the “intelligent design” movement of creationism.

“Yeah well, I’ll be the first one to take him up on his offer,” Santorum told MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell. “You know, look, I’ve been very, very clear that the science just simply doesn’t back up the issue of global warming.

“Yes, does the climate change? Of course it does, it’s changed for thousands of years. But the idea that one factor, and man’s contribution to that one factor, of which there are hundreds of factors that have an influence on climate, that that one factor of which man’s contribution is a small part of, is somehow the tip of that tail that wags the whole dog, and that we have to change all of our economic policy based on that, is just a pure overreaction that is not backed up by any kind of real evidence

The fact that as soon as the “problem” was hypothesized the solution was to spend trillions of dollars half of which would go to pay “climate reparations” for our past sins of success is a dead giveaway.

The real message is not for Righties to sit around on rightie blogs talking to each other about how wrong the left is or how AGW is a scam.

The real effort needs to come in writing your local papers, talking to your neighbors and friends. Emailing intelligent information to people you know and barely know. Talking to your children. Educating them. Going to school board meetings even if you have no kids in the schools and becoming involved locally.

The battle starts at home. its a battle the right has been losing for 50 years cause we did not know their was a war on unitl the last few years.

Thats where the real battle is at. I follow my own advice.

  3. That’s a hell of a good point, Word. I know I write lots of emails and letters to newspapers and several elected officials. Even my weenie Dem rep, Brad Miller

THe problem is… there’s a old used black kettle calling out a burning pot.

    It’s the battle of RINOS.

Santorum would be a Bush-lite conservative.
Huntsman would be a Obama-heavy politician.
