New Study Explains Why Liberals Are Always Miserable

The study doesn’t actually look at the difference in political leanings, but, I think we have enough circumstantial evidence to know that liberals are certainly suffering from a lack of neuropeptide Y: Born miserable – some people genetically programmed to be negative

Researchers discovered that levels of a molecule called neuropeptide Y (NPY) directly relates to whether we have a “glass half empty” or “glass half full” attitude towards life.

They are also more susceptible to depression.

Those with lower levels of the substance are much more negative and find it more difficult to deal with stressful situations.

And when too many people with lower levels of NPY get together, they combine their glass half empty mentalities into Talking Points Memo’s, leading to Latratus Lunabattis Syndrome (Barking Moonbat Syndrome, in the common tongue) as their stress levels over some perceived something or other overwhelms their cognitive centers.

“some people genetically programmed to be negative”

I COMPLETELY disagree with that. Nor do I agree with Trish’s comment either. And it WASN’T ‘a good one’, Teach.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I don’t agree with my comment either.

Kevin seems to be having a bit of a conundrum over this issue!
