Fish Wrap: Weather Now Proves Global Warming

How many times have we climate realists been told that massive winter snow storms, cold snaps, and other weather phenomenon cannot be used to prove that anthropogenic global warming is a complete load of mule fritters? Ah, but……

In Weather Chaos, a Case for Global Warming

The floods battered New England, then Nashville, then Arkansas, then Oklahoma — and were followed by a deluge in Pakistan that has upended the lives of 20 million people.

The summer’s heat waves baked the eastern United States, parts of Africa and eastern Asia, and above all Russia, which lost millions of acres of wheat and thousands of lives in a drought worse than any other in the historical record.

Seemingly disconnected, these far-flung disasters are reviving the question of whether global warming is causing more weather extremes.

The collective answer of the scientific community can be boiled down to a single word: probably.

Because, you know, the climate is changing. Unlike the rest of the past 4 billion years of Earth’s history, during which time the climate was static and completely predictable.

4 billion years ago the earth was a molten mass 2000 F The problem as I see is that now there are 7billion humans who must deal with the climate today and in the future. It is the other humans that concern me, nit what it was like 4,000,000,000 years ago. The long promised global cooling has not appeared. The sun is still in a dim stage

I see Lying BASTARD johnnie ryan snuck one in early.

No one EVER said 4 billion years, lying BASTARD johnnie ryan. The last mention was half a billion, which encompasses the period in which life has been on the surface.

And it is MUCH longer than the 6000 years you were touting before, ‘lil LIAR.

And it has seen Much warmer periods than today, with warmer periods just within the last 7000 years. Do some research!

    • Funny how all of a sudden John no longer cares about the history of the Earth, after all his comments about us “skeptics” being flat earthers or something.

Hey, John, what caused the end of the last Ice Age? No cars, planes, air conditioners, etc around back then.

I agree that people are using changes in weather to prove that global warming is or isn’t happening – depending on which side they’re on.

The problem is that it’s difficult for people to see any importance in overall changes of a few degrees over a large area and over a long period of time. Floods, fires and snowstorms are much easier to relate to.

Yes, YES! You see, we’ve found a PATTERN to the chaos!

    Why do you look unconvinced?
