Sigh
Ron Paul has ended Mitt Romney’s three-year run as conservatives’ favorite for president, taking 31 percent of the vote in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s annual straw poll.
There are good and bad things to say about Paul on the issues, but, personally, I only know of them generally. Until such time as Ron repudiates the 9/11 Truth wackos in his base, and he himself states that he doesn’t believe in the the Truth movement while hooked up to a polygraph machine, I do not want to know any specifics about him. That is more than enough to remove him from serious consideration.
His belief that 9/11 was partly our fault, and his wanting to treat Islamic terrorism like pirate attacks, not to mention his early 20th century like isolationist policies makes him completely unsuitable to be a US president in the 21st century.
