Your Fault: Scientists Have Detected TDS At Bottom Of Ocean

They are Very Alarmed

Scientists Have Detected Something Deeply Alarming at the Bottom of the Ocean

Something is stirring in the waters off the coast of Greenland, and it isn’t a submarine fleet sent by Donald Trump.

These people

According to reporting by the New Scientist, evidence is mounting that the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation — a massive system of deep sea currents that acts like a conveyor belt for the world’s oceans known as AMOC — is starting to slow its gears. As it does, cold waters from the Greenland ice sheet are allowed to pool in the North-Atlantic, creating a “cold blob” that’s only getting colder as the rest of the world warms up.

This in turn has a major impact on jet streams, fueling extreme weather across the world. Should it collapse, the New Scientist notes that the AMOC could act as a climate tipping point, setting off a chain reaction resulting in much colder weather for some, and much drier weather for others by as early as 2040.

“The cold blob can disturb the atmospheric jet stream and storm activities, so it has implications for extreme weather events in North America and Europe,” Laifang Li, assistant professor of meteorology and atmospheric science at Penn State explained in a press release announcing an earlier study on the AMOC.

OK, we’ve touched on this many times, but, never with TDS to start it off. They really cannot help themselves.

Also, they have no directly observed data on what has happened in previous Holocene warm periods to see if this is unusual.

William doesn’t even attempt to refute the evidence. He does repeat his his complaint that no one measured the the AMOC earlier in the Holocene.

That sounds like the start of the next ice age, not global warming. Which we know we’re due for. Perhaps part of one of our many natural cycles? No evidence that it is man-made cited, just cites to climate models. Which is NOT evidence.

The Gulf Stream (North Atlantic Drift) keeps Western Europe temperate. London is at 51.51° N latitude, as are Saskatchewan and Alberta Canada, where they have snowpack from Nov-Apr!!

Technically, Earth ice ages are defined as having polar ice caps. Over the past half million years or so, the Earth has undergone cycles of “glacial” and “interglacial” periods. We are currently living in the 12,000 year (so far) interglacial Holocene epoch, encompasses nearly the whole of human civilization! The alternating glacial and interglacial periods are thought to arise from changes in the Earth’s orientation to the Sun – these alterations are called Milankovitch cycles. The next glacial period would be expected in about 10,000 years. Global warming could delay it!!

Another computer model!! Dr Teach hates those!

Professor Zharkova has long believed the Earth’s climate is controlled solely by the Sun, claiming that greenhouse gases have no effect.

From the cited blog: “The plummeting temperature will then lead to something called the “Maunder minimum”, which is referred to a previous mini ice age that occurred between 1646 and 1715, turning London’s Thames into a frozen river, scientists claimed.”

The idea that a plummeting temperature of Earth can cause the Sun to experience a Maunder minimum (prolonged sunspot minimum) is ignorant to the point of ridiculousness.

Also from the cited blog: “Although Zharkova claimed 97 percent accuracy for the model that corresponds to previous mini ice ages, she did warn that her model could not be used as proof of a future mini ice age, partly because of global warming. ‘I hope global warning will be overridden by this effect, giving humankind and the Earth 30 years to sort out our pollution’, Zharkova told Sky News.”

    Wow. “Hope”.

You have the cause and effect reversed. Which is just ignorant to the point of ridiculousness.

“The plummeting temperature will then lead to something called the “Maunder minimum”…”

Sorry, but THEY (and by extension, YOU) have the cause and effect reversed.

The “Maunder Minimum” is the event that occurred on the Sun. Historically known as the “prolonged sunspot minimum,” it refers to a period between roughly 1645 and 1715 when sunspot activity on the Sun became exceedingly rare.

The actual scientists believed the Maunder minimum caused the cooling of the Earth, not that the cooling Earth caused the decrease in sunspots.

Now, fuck off and sin no more.
