Obama Ordered Review Finds Gitmo Folks Treated Within Geneva Convention Guidlines

Well, uh oh. This is a thorny pickle. For the majority of Bush’s two terms, the Left, the international moonbat society, the UN, namby pamby supposed conservatives, etc, have whine about the way the jihadis at Guantanamo Bay detention facility have been treated. But, not so fast!

A Pentagon review of conditions at the Guantanamo Bay military prison has concluded that the treatment of detainees meets the requirements of the Geneva Conventions but that prisoners in the highest-security camps should be allowed more religious and social interaction, according to a government official who has read the 85-page document.

The report, which President Obama ordered, was prepared by Adm. Patrick M. Walsh, the vice chief of naval operations, and has been delivered to the White House. Obama requested the review as part of an executive order on the planned closure of the prison at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, on the southeastern tip of Cuba.

Now what, Bush haters? Perhaps you owe him an apology?

The article mentions all sorts of complaints by defense lawyers and jihadis (the first is normal by them, the latter is in the al Qaeda manual), but, the review finds that even force feeding is within the GC guidelines.

So, now what? WIll you finally move on? Will Andrew Sullivan and Glenn Greenwald post this article? It originally was blogged by Allahpundit at 435pm Friday. So far, 10 posts by Excitable Andy, one whining about Guantanamo, but, no mention of this article. Everyone send him an email. Will anyone on the Left, and a few of the complainers on the Right, stand up and say they were wrong?

Jay at Stop The ACLU beat me to it, but, he tells us how the ACLU is jumping for joy about the release of a Gitmo jihadi.
