Saudi Arabia Releases 1,500 Terrorists. Wonderful

Heard about this on the Neal Boortz show while driving to work. Fortunately, Rusty has the story, so, do not have to look for it (NY Sun):

On the eve of the Annapolis summit on the Middle East conflict, the Saudi royal family released 1,500 members of Al Qaeda from prison, requiring them only to promise to refrain from jihad within the Arabian Peninsula.

“The committee has met around 5,000 times to offer counseling to 3,200 people, who were accused of embracing the takfir ideology. The committee has successfully completed reforming 1,500 people,” he said.

The question is, what do we do with our ally of convenience? How can we stop this kind of activity? As long as we rely on foreign oil, particularly from Muslim countries, of which 13% comes to us from Saudi Arabia, we will have to soft pedal our foreign policy in certain areas.

Notice the wording- if they promise not to do Jihad within the Arabian Peninsula.

SO does this means its ok to do jihad anywhere and everywhere else, like, say, Boston or Washington or Denver or LA?? Guess so.

  2. I’d suspect you are correct. We really do need to get alternative fuel sources going, if only the liberals would stop blocking every attempt.

” I dig kids so I promise not to hang around school yards… I’m an alcoholic so I promise not to have a drink… I’m into porno so I promise not to watch cable-TV or read Playboys anymore…” WTF 2007!

They are making a big deal about picking up 200 or so today. I think they are hoping to get more attention for the arrests than for the releases.

    :sigh:

  5. Sooner or later, the US is going to have to do something about SA.
