Nasty Lack Of Private Jet Parking In Bali

More from the “do as I say not as I do” crowd (h/t to Blue Star Chronicles, story originally from Newsbusters)

(Bali Discovery Tours) Tempo Interaktif reports that Angkasa Pura – the management of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport are concerned that the large number of additional private charter flights expected in Bali during the UN Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) December 3-15, 2007, will exceed the carrying capacity of apron areas. To meet the added demand for aircraft storage officials are allocating “parking space” at other airports in Indonesia.

The operational manager for Bali’s Airport, Azjar Effendi, says his 3 parking areas can only accommodate 15 planes, which means that some of the jets used by VIP delegations will only be allowed to disembark and embark their planes in Bali with parking provided at airports in Surabaya, Lombok, Jakarta and Makassar.

Both Beth at BSC and Noel Sheppard at Newsbusters mention Bali being a “truly beautiful tropical island paradise,” something I have mentioned a few times, as well. I also wondered how many attendees would be flying on private jets. Well, actually, I have wondered that every time they have one of these “conferences,” which seems to be around 3-4 times a year. The question is, why are the climahysteric disciples not calling the climahysteric leaders out on this obvious hypocrisy?

Also, do they really need to spend 12 days there? What exactly will they be doing, other then spending taxpayer money and hanging on the beach? Maybe a few cruises, or some of those sex (often with minors) and drugs parties the UN is renouned for.

I bet Iowahawk never thought that the climahystericy leaders would be taking his joke and making it real.

Well Mr. Teach, I guess we will just have to park our jets elsewhere this weekend. Damn, what an inconvenience. Maybe I’ll just get away from all that tacky traffic and go for the Riveria. It’s all just so pedestrian. Ta Ta, Dallllling.

  2. […] suit, eh? So De Boer wants us all to fly to an exotic vacation spot on private planes which would then have to be deadheaded to another island during the “conference?” Good […]
