Duke Lacrosse: Getting Even Worse For Nifong

To which I say "Great!" (via CBS Sportsline)

The state bar lodged new and more serious ethics charges Wednesday against the district attorney in the Duke lacrosse case, accusing him of withholding evidence from the defense and lying to both to the court and bar investigators.

Mike Nifong — who withdrew from the case earlier this month — could be disbarred if convicted by a disciplinary board.

The bar previously charged Nifong with making misleading and prejudicial comments about the athletes under suspicion.

The new charges are tied to Nifong's decision to use a private lab for DNA testing as his office investigated allegations three men raped a 28-year-old stripper at a team party last March.

Nifong declined to talk to the media, at least until the New York Times calls.

BTW, I'm still waiting for a response from the ACLU, both national and the NC branch, on when they are going to rail against Nifong for violating the civil rights of the Duke Lacrosse players.

Hope you’re not holding your breath on the ACLU thing; you’ll die. I know when I heard about this yesterday I jumped for joy and fell into fits of laughter; and then though of you. Heh. Seriously though, I hope this guy gets disbarred; what he did to these boys is horrible. I just pray that the media is fair with them and reports the truth. I won’t hold my breath either. Can I hold my breasts? Sorry, evil today.

  2. LOL!

If Nifong goes on trial, I plan to be in attendence. I’ll take some PTO days for that!

Nifong was more than happy to talk to anyone that would listen when he convicted the Duke players without a trial in the court of public opinion. Nifong is among the lowest of the low.
