TrackBack Friday, Featuring The DNC Surrender Monkey! 10/20/06

It's that time of the week again! Do you have an interesting post you want to share with everyone? The official Surrender Monkey of the Democratic Party says to do what the Lefties don’t, since they all have the same talking points: link it!

Now, I am not here to tell you what to do. If I and my little blog can persuade you or at least give you something to think about, great. Cause, what I have seen is many Republicans go a bit wobbly as of late. They think that they can "punish" the GOP big wigs for their behavior by doing one of three things:

  1. voting democrat
  2. voting for a third party
  3. not voting

Sure, many in the high GOP heirarchy have been less then responsive, and have done things we do not care for. I haven't always been happy with several of the NC representatives, such as Elizabeth Dole, Richard Burr, and Walter B. Jones. Many of our GOP Congress Critters have been less then stellar on the illegal immigration issue. They have too much pork going on, and poor spending habits. They have played the prevent defense when it comes to responding to the Dems who constantly attack them and President Bush. Bush has not fought back, either. The CC's haven't had Bush's back like they should have, and, it is their own fault for their low poll numbers.

We know the rest of the hit list. No need to post it all. But, they are politicians. They are different people, and represent different constituencies. They are not necessarily their to represent every American. And, again, they are politicians. We might pay $1000 for a blue plate dinner with them, but, to paraphrase Will Rogers, we wouldn't invite them home for dinner.

You can go and say you are standing on principles, but do those principles mean allowing Democrats and all their idiocy, surrender monkey tendencies, and anti-American attitudes back in to office? We have seen what they plan and how unhinged they are since 1/20/2001. We are at war with people who want to kill us, and people who are entering our country illegally. You think Democrats will respond to that? What if the we, who are part of the GOP, do not regain Congress in 2008? What then?

Captain Ed writes:

When people are dissatisfied with an incumbent in their own party, the time to address that is the primary. Lincoln Chafee is a good example of this. I supported Stephen Laffey because Chafee's voting record put him closer to the Democrats than the Republicans. Laffey wasn't even all that conservative, but he was a big improvement over Chafee, who couldn't even endorse his own party's candidate for President in 2004. However, Chafee won the primary, and now I support Chafee for re-election — because he caucuses reliably with the GOP, and in that way is an improvement over the Democrat. I'm not supporting Lincoln Chafee as much as I'm opposing Judiciary Chair Patrick Leahy and Intelligence Chair Jay Rockefeller, not to mention Majority Leader Harry Reid. (underlining mine)

I'm lucky. I have Vernon Robinson, a candidate I can really get behind running in NC's 13th District against a really crummy liberal, Brad Miller. No Senate races. Others aren't. Remember, though, if you don't want Pelosi to be speaker for at least 2 years, and maybe Harry Reid as the leader in the Senate, bite the bullet, and support the devil you at least agree with on most issues. You can be part of trying for a solution, or part of giving Democrats their agenda.

Look at it this way. Back during the 2004 elections, it was Bush vs. "Anybody But Bush." People weren't voting for Kerry, but against Bush. Some of you might just have to take the same stance, except it will be "Anybody But Democrats."

Do you have an interesting post? Or just a post? Wink Want it spread around? Well, go ahead and link it up! Otherwise, Cynthia McKinney may pop you one get of scott free, or worse!
