DHS Seeks Sweeping New Guidelines To Deport Those Unlawfully Present

This should make a few illegal alien supporting heads explode. Starting with the editorial board of the NY Times, which has gone all in on supporting the unlawfully present

About 11 million people are living in this country outside the law. Suddenly, by presidential decree, all are deportation priorities, all are supposed criminals, all are threatened with broken lives, along with members of their families. The end could come for them any time.

Why yes, yes it could (you should read the editorial. Quite frankly, it deserves it’s own post, but, every paragraph is beyond moonbat)

(Washington Post) Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly has signed sweeping new guidelines that empower federal authorities to more aggressively detain and deport illegal immigrants inside the United States and at the border.

In a pair of memos, Kelly offered more detail on plans for the agency to hire thousands of additional enforcement agents, expand the pool of immigrants who are prioritized for removal, speed up deportation hearings and enlist local law enforcement to help make arrests.

The new directives would supersede nearly all of those issued under previous administrations, Kelly said, including measures from President Barack Obama aimed at focusing deportations exclusively on hardened criminals and those with terrorist ties.

The NYTEB said it: they are living in this country outside the law. If they crossed the borders without permission or overstayed their visa, then they are unlawfully present. They also complained about creating an atmosphere of fear. Good. Criminals should be worried.

Illegals have no one to blame but themselves. This is not on the citizens of the U.S. We didn’t make them come here illegally/overstay visas. They CHOSE to do that. They chose that for their children, in many cases. They do not help their case when they demand, DEMAND, that the United States give them money, services, welfare, healthcare, housing, food, education, the right to vote, and citizenship. They aren’t asking. They’re demanding. They’re out in the streets insulting citizens, they freak out over citizens flying the flag of the U.S., they fly the flags of Mexico and other nations, and they demand the return of the American southwest to Mexico. Being humble would help their case: they are anything but.

The new procedures would allow authorities to seek expedited deportation proceedings, currently limited to undocumented immigrants who have been in the country for two weeks or less, to anyone who has been in the country for up to two years.

Another new provision would be to immediately return Mexican immigrants who are apprehended at the border back home pending the outcomes of their deportation hearings, rather than house them on U.S. property, an effort that would save detention space and other resources.

The guidelines also aim to deter the arrival of a growing wave of 155,000 unaccompanied minors who have come from Mexico and Central America over the past three years. Under the new policies, their parents in the United States could be prosecuted if they are found to have paid smugglers to bring the children across the border.

“This memo is just breathtaking, the way they really are looking at every part of the entire system,” said Marielena Hincapié, executive director of the National Immigration Law Center.

Obviously, she isn’t thrilled with this state of affairs. It is breathtaking that a presidential administration is finally looking to crackdown on illegal immigration. If you want to stem the flow, you have to create that fear that they won’t be caught and let go with promise to come back for a hearing, for which the illegal rarely shows up to. You get caught, you go bye bye. Too often, over the years since Reagan first tried an amnesty, thinking this would be the last, federal policies have emboldened illegals to journey to the U.S. Now? Deterrence.

Team Trump needs to start taking on those who have overstayed their visas, as well, along with looking at policies that penalize companies that employee illegals, among others. Create the atmosphere where illegals won’t come, they won’t overstay visas, no one will hire them. At that point, then we could perhaps look at a limited pathway to citizenship, or, at the least, permanent resident status.

Everybody Panic: Climate Change Means More Oroville Dams!

This is what cult’s do: see something happen, and roll it into their dogma

The dam truth: Climate change means more Lake Orovilles

Just two years ago, Lake Oroville was so dry that submerged archaeological artifacts were starting to resurface. That was in the middle of California’s epic drought — the worst in more than a millennium.

And then the rains came. This winter is on track to become Northern California’s soggiest on record. A key precipitation index is running more than a month ahead of the previous record pace, set in the winter of 1982–1983 (records go back to 1895). Lake Oroville is so full that it spilled over for the first time, spurring evacuations downstream.

California’s climate has always been extreme (even before humans got seriously involved), but what’s happening right now is just ridiculous. We are witnessing the effects of climate change play out, in real time.

Go that? There’s nothing unusual about this, it has happened before, but now it Mankind’s fault! Why? Because shut up, that’s why. The high priests of the Cult of Climastrology have spoken.

Climate science and basic physics suggest we are already seeing a shift in the delicate rainfall patterns of the West Coast. A key to understanding how California’s rainy season is changing lies in understanding what meteorologists call “atmospheric rivers,” thin, intense ribbons of moisture that stream northeastward from the tropical Pacific Ocean and provide California with up to half of its annual rainfall. Exactly how atmospheric rivers will change depends on greenhouse gas emissions and science that’s still being worked out.

How do we know this is different from what’s happened in the past? Doesn’t matter. There’s a Narrative to be rolled out. As for delicate rainy season, the flash floods and things like mudslides have been happening on the West Coast as long as we have recorded history. Sorry, sorry, facts are not necessary, or wanted, in CoC World.

Peter Gleick, chief scientist of the Pacific Institute and frequent visitor to the Oroville area, is clear about what the drama at Oroville represents. “We’re seeing evidence of more extremes,” he says. “To ignore that would be a mistake.”

We’ve built dams based on old weather patterns, not for the extremes we’re now seeing. A clear problem emerges when we manage society for how things were, not how things are. In many ways, we are planning for the future with the expectation that the weather will be more or less the same as in the past. It won’t be.

The talking point about infrastructure being built for old weather patterns is gaining steam within the CoC. Do not expect it to go away.

Peaceful Leftists At UNC Promote Violence Against Trump Supporters

It’s an interesting dichotomy. Leftists always tell us how peaceful they are, how they abhor violence, that the solution is never violence. Then, you turn around, and they are committing violence, such as assault, arson, property destruction. Remember all the rapes and other crimes from Occupy Wall Street? All the riots since Trump was elected? And then there are the threats. Leftists say they are tolerant. In practice? Not so much

FLYER POSTED ON UNC CAMPUS EXPRESSES ACTS OF VIOLENCE TO TRUMP SUPPORTERS

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is responding to a threatening flyer circulating around campus.

In a letter to students, faculty, and staff Thursday, Chancellor Carol Folt – along with other UNC officials – said the flyer expresses acts of violence to supporters of President Trump.

They said the university is taking the flyer very seriously.

“The flyer and its message are the antithesis of the values that are the foundation of our University,” the letter read. “It is not designed to spark civil discourse or encourage thoughtful debate. Its intentions are to incite violence, and there is no place for that here or in our society.”

Well, really, that’s today’s Democrats in a nutshell. Those last two sentences perfectly describe Liberals. They do not want to debate, and they love violence against anything and anyone who are Not Approved.

While it is great that the University leadership put out a message, it is rather short. From what we have seen in the past, the messages tend to be very long when they are supportive of leftist causes.

Leftists should remember that right leaning citizens are more likely to be armed than leftists.

Trump’s Immigration Orders Could Endanger Public Safety Or Something

The notion of catching those who are unlawfully present in the United States and potentially deporting them causing a supposed problem with public safety is not a new notion talking point. Supporters of illegal aliens have long trotted it out as a reason to not perform a silly function like enforcing immigration law and securing our nation from invasion (Article 4 section 4). Why do they support illegals? The better question is, why do they support illegals over US citizens, going so far as to lie and omit information? We should ask Jonathan Blanks, who’s part of the libertarian leaning CATO institution

How enforcing Trump’s immigration actions could hurt public safety

Last week, federal immigration officials seized an unauthorized immigrant at an El Paso courthouse where she had been seeking a protective order against an alleged domestic abuser. The judge who oversees the court that issued the protective order expressed dismay that such a seizure took place when the person was seeking protection from violence, and perhaps acting on a tip provided by the alleged abuser himself.

President Trump has said his proposed actions to stiffen immigration enforcement are in the interests of public safety, but seizures such as the one in El Paso and the proposed revitalization of the 287(g) program that deputizes local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration law make the public less safe and interfere with local policing priorities. (snip)

Seizing a person who is seeking refuge from violence subverts the protective function of police officers. If individuals fear as much from law enforcement as they do the criminals living among and victimizing them, they will not come forward to report crimes or cooperate with criminal investigations. Non-cooperation makes police officers’ jobs harder by emboldening and enriching criminals who, consequently, may operate with impunity where people are less willing to help investigators.

Well, now, that is very cute. Law enforcement arrested a person seeking protection from violence! Perhaps Blanks should have mentioned a bit of information from the Washington Post article he cited (which itself is rather unhinged that this person would be detained by ICE), which is way, way, way deep, at a point where most have already moved on to a new story

According to the affidavit, I.E.G. has a criminal and immigration history that dates back to 2010 and includes numerous deportations and arrests for assault, violating probation, domestic violence, false imprisonment and possession of stolen mail.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: is this the type of illegal that supporters really want to defend? Well, sure, when they fail to mention that they aren’t one of the “good illegals”. Regardless, if you’re starting out your screed with a lie of omission, the rest is a pile of mule fritters.

One Los Angeles Police Dept. detective told the Los Angeles Times, “It is my job to investigate crimes. . . . And if I can’t do that, I can’t get justice for people, because all of a sudden, I’m losing my witnesses or my victims because they’re afraid that talking to me is going to lead to them getting deported.” When he recently approached a group of Latino workers to investigate a crime, they stood up and walked away. Even though Los Angeles has repeatedly asserted its self-appointed status as a “sanctuary city” for immigrants, one of the workers uttered “Trump is coming,” as he left.

Here’s the gist, which has been trotted out before: if illegals are being targeted for detainment and deportation (God forbid!), they might be unwilling to reach out to law enforcement and/or talk to them about crimes against themselves and/or within their communities of illegal aliens.

It’s a load a steaming donkey droppings. If they weren’t here in violation of immigration laws, it wouldn’t be a problem in the first place. The criminal community isn’t too enthused about reaching out to law enforcement over crimes against themselves. No one complains about that. If illegals aren’t present in the United States, then there’s no problem. Why, exactly, are we so concerned with the plight of law breakers?

As Scott Pruitt Is Confirmed To Head EPA, Worker Bees Are A Hot Mess

So, this just happened

(Washington Post)  Scott Pruitt, who as Oklahoma’s attorney general spent years suing the Environmental Protection Agency over its efforts to regulate various forms of pollution, was confirmed Friday as the agency’s next administrator.

Pruitt cleared the Senate by a vote of 52-46, winning support from two Democrats, Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota. Only one Republican, Susan Collins of Maine, voted against him, saying he had “fundamentally different” views than she about the EPA’s role.

As you can well imagine, the majority of the article takes swipes at Pruitt, because they are super non-biased!

Of course, it all means climate doom. And dirty water and air and land, really, RIP Earth. As Doug P notes “Animas River unavailable for comment.”

Anyhow, you surely have lots of weepy EPA employees/activists. And this

(Daily Caller)  EPA employees are calling their senators to complain about President Donald Trump’s choice to head the agency, according to The New York Times.

They are furious Trump nominated Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to lead the agency. Pruitt has battled the EPA numerous times in court, earning the hatred of many of the agency’s employees.

“Employees of the [EPA] have been calling their senators to urge them to vote on Friday against the confirmation of Scott Pruitt, President Trump’s contentious nominee to run the agency, a remarkable display of activism and defiance that presages turbulent times ahead for the E.P.A,” reports The New York Times.

Futility in action.

(Daily Caller)  President Donald Trump could visit EPA headquarters in the near future, but sources say employees are so demoralized many wouldn’t turn out to see him.

A former EPA official told InsideEPA, “career staff will be unlikely to voluntarily attend or applaud Trump or Pruitt,” should Trump visit after the Senate confirms Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt.

If they don’t like the new bosses and the direction of the agency, they can do what those of us in the private sector do: suck it up or leave and work somewhere else. The EPA employers, namely, the taxpayers of this nation, voted Trump in. Deal with it.

Scientists Prognosticate Utter Doom From A Tiny Change In Earth’s Temperature

Another day, yet another bit of looking in a crystal ball computer model from the Cult of Climastrology

Scientists highlight deadly health risks of climate change

The future is expected to hold more deadly heat waves, the fast spread of certain infectious diseases and catastrophic food shortages.

These events could cause premature deaths — and they’re all related to climate change, according to a panel of experts who gathered at the Carter Center in Atlanta on Thursday for the Climate & Health Meeting.

The meeting became a subject of controversy as Trump prepared to take office last month.

However, the meeting allowed experts to sound alarms about the deadly health risks associated with climate change.

Between 2030 and 2050, climate change is projected to cause about 250,000 additional deaths per year from heat stress, malnutrition and the spread of infectious diseases like malaria, according to the World Health Organization.

It’s almost like this is something out of the Book Of Revelations!

“The extreme weather events calculated by the insurance industry have obviously been increasing,” former US Vice President Al Gore said in a keynote speech at the meeting. “As I’ve said on other occasions, every night on the television news now is like a nature hike through the Book of Revelation.”

The majority of climate scientists — 97% — agree that climate change is real and human pollution is largely responsible.

Once you trot out the utterly debunked 97% concenses, you’ve moved from science into politics. And that’s exactly what this is all about. If these people really believed, they wouldn’t be taking lots of fossil fueled trips to yammer about “carbon pollution.”

The Economy Would Be Doomed Without Immigrants Or Something

This is yet another reason why Trump won: the media’s dishonesty when it comes to the debate on illegal aliens, in which they conflate all immigrants, legal and unlawfully present, together

Without immigrants, the US economy would be a ‘disaster,’ experts say

Immigrants across the U.S. are refusing to go to work, attend school and shop today as part of the Day Without Immigrants, a series of protests intended to illustrate the significant economic and social impact that immigrants have on the country.

The protests, which were organized on social media, are demonstrations against President Donald Trump, who has been criticized by some as anti-immigrant and xenophobic for his promises to deport unauthorized immigrants, build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and conduct “extreme vetting” of immigrants from seven predominately Muslim countries.

“Criticized by some”. It’s great how they work that in to the article in the 2nd paragraph.

While the economic impact of today’s actions remains unclear, several economic experts told ABC News that the U.S. economy and workforce would be a “disaster” without immigrants.

“If all immigrants were just to disappear from the U.S. workforce tomorrow, that would have a tremendous negative impact on the economy,” said Daniel Costa, the director of immigration law and policy research at the Economic Policy Institute, an economic research think tank based in Washington, D.C.

“Immigrants are overrepresented in a lot of occupations in both low- and high-skilled jobs,” he explained. “You’d feel an impact and loss in many, many different occupations and industries, from construction and landscape to finance and IT.”

And that’s how they conflate illegal and legal. And we aren’t discussing deporting those who are lawfully present. Just the illegals. We don’t see anything about illegals till near the end

According to Meg Wiehe, the director of programs for the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, “Undocumented immigrants contributed more than $11.6 billion in state and local taxes each year. And if the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants here were given a pathway to citizenship or legal residential status, those tax contributions could rise by nearly $2 billion.”

OK, there’s an easy fix for them: they leave the country and apply for citizenship, or apply for a work visa, just like so many others who do it right. It’s not that hard.

Of course, what’s also missing is the cost to the states, municipalities, and country from illegals.

But, one has to wonder, what do immigrants who have committed felonies contribute economically? Because the vast majority who were caught up in the recent sweep are felons, and those sweeps are why the news media are trotting out stories like the above. Is ABC News propositioning that child molesters should be given citizenship or legal status? Is this their argument? Are these the people they’re supporting?

Surrender Monkey Friday: The NY Times Is Pretty Upset Over Trump’s Press Conference

Did you watch or listen to the Trump press conference Thursday? It was pretty amazing. Here was a guy speaking like a CEO, not a politician. A guy who spoke his mind. A guy who spoke to citizens, not the Political Class. A guy who didn’t lecture for 10 minutes on one question and never answer.

Of course, the Political Class didn’t like it, nor did the Media Industrial Complex. Because they are not used to it, and, quite frankly, they would find a way to bash Trump no matter what in their Trump Derangement Syndrome. The unhinged pronouncements emanating from the Professional Media Class are amazing. They’re Very Concerned that Trump is rallying his base. They were giddy when Obama did this. Upset that Trump is “campaigning.” Yet, never concerned that Obama never stopped. Etc and so on. The double standards are amazing. And they really do not like that Trump has come after the media yet again, forgetting that they themselves create the situation with their utter partisanship, readily apparent throughout the pages and broadcasts of the majority of the Credentialed Media, so, here we get the NY Times Editorial Board

For a Troubled President, the Media Is a Satisfying Target

After a tumultuous month of incumbency, President Trump actually plans to begin his 2020 re-election campaign Saturday in Florida with one of his most vital campaign props in tow — the news media that he makes a daily art form of undermining with institutional and personal attacks.

“You know, you’re dishonest people,” he told reporters at his news conference Thursday, with the ease of an insult comic in a Las Vegas lounge. “But I’m not ranting and raving. I love this. I’m having a good time doing it,” the president was fair enough to admit as he lambasted the media nonstop.

“Fake news!” “Russia scam!” “Ruse!” he proclaimed, dismissing reports on the turmoil in his White House.

After a while it began to make sense: Of course, Mr. Trump craves a break from the White House caldron for the familiar escape to another hyperbolic campaign stop at an airport hangar full of zealous supporters. He needed the press to play the punching bag that so delighted his political base. Aides filed for re-election on Inauguration Day, an extraordinary step that lets Mr. Trump raise campaign funds for what will be a state of endless campaigning.

The news conference proved to be another signature recapitulation of himself by himself — Mr. Trump’s relentless superlatives of self-congratulation, his paint-ball putdowns of any and all critics, his swaggering dismissal of controversies already occurring in plain sight.

The constant Moonbat attacks on Trump are one of the reasons Trump won. And Trump knows that the vast majority of the media, which votes Democrat and allows their person political beliefs to color all their coverage, will never give him a chance and or honest coverage so why not fight back? Republicans are always damned if they do damned if they don’t, so, he might as well “do” and stay strong.

He’d better get used to it. American history shows there’s no reasonable alternative to the power of human curiosity in a democracy, especially when a president dares to claim exclusive ownership of reality.

“Will we be incessantly harassed and vilified?” Martin Baron, editor of The Washington Post, asked after the election. “The answer, I believe, is pretty simple,” he said with barely a shrug. “Just do our job. Do it as it’s supposed to be done.”

Except, they aren’t doing it as it’s supposed to be done. Well, maybe if you’re Salon, which is the direction the media is going. They’re even more unhinged than during the Bush years.

People wanted different. They’re tired of the same old politics. They got. And as long as the media bangs this same tired drum, they’ll keep losing.
