Environmental group launches six-figure battleground state ad buy against Newsom’s ‘climate leadership’

An environmental group is calling out Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom’s climate leadership in a six-figure battleground state ad buy which claims his policies in California have “significantly undermined climate progress.”

While running for governor in 2018, Newsom said he would shut down the Aliso Canyon Natural Gas Storage Facility in California – the location of the largest methane leak in U.S. history. “I’m fully committed to doing that,” Newsom told a reporter when asked if he would shut down the facility. “The question is how quickly can we do that, but my commitment is to make that happen. We need to be more aggressive than we have been.”

Newsom added that he was “unequivocally” committed to shutting it down, but environmental groups are calling out the governor after allowing the facility to remain open six years later.

Food & Water Action, the political and lobbying arm of Food & Water Watch advocating against climate change, announced on Monday a $100,000 ad buy against Newsom across four battleground states – Nevada, South Carolina, New Hampshire and Michigan.

Since Newsom hasn’t shut down a legally operating private company they are going after him, despite all the other climate crazy he’s done over his years as governor.

However, in a statement shared with Fox News Digital, Daniel Villaseñor, spokesperson for Newsom, said that “the Governor’s energy policy is ambitious, not reckless.”

“We are committed to safely closing Aliso Canyon without harming working families with skyrocketing utility bills,” the spokesperson said. “No governor has done more to accelerate our transition to clean and renewable energy, but it would be irresponsible to close Aliso Canyon before demand for natural gas declines. That’s a recipe for precisely the same price spikes we’ve seen in the gasoline market.”

Villaseñor added that Newsom “wants to see Aliso Canyon phased out, but not at the cost of enormous price increases for working families and our ability to keep the lights on.” The California Public Utilities Commission is planning to meet on Dec. 19 to discuss the future of the facility.

Doing Something is all fun and games until it skyrockets the cost of living….well, more than has already happened.

Report: All Those Drones Are Spying For China

Real? It’s certainly not out of the question, right?

‘Spy drones’ from China are likely cause of unexplained aircraft wreaking havoc over US, House foreign affairs chair says in bombshell claim

House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Michael McCaul said Tuesday that he believes that some unidentified drones spotted above New Jersey and New York are “spy drones” from China — after Biden administration officials insisted many of the aircraft are innocent commercial aircraft.

“We want answers but the response I’m getting is we don’t know whose drones these are,” McCaul (R-Texas) told reporters before executive-branch officials offered a classified briefing to members of the House intelligence committee.

“I was with the NASA administrator, Bill Nelson, he said that these drones have been reported over military sites, military bases. I would not think those are friendly. I would think those are adversarial,” McCaul said.

“We need to identify who is behind these drones,” he said. “My judgment based on my experience is that those that are over our military sites are adversarial and most likely are coming from the People’s Republic of China.”

“I believe they’re spy drones and the PRC and communist China is very good at this stuff. We know they bought land around military bases. This would be very consistent with their policy over the past couple years,” McCaul added.

Of course, I’d like to see some evidence on this, but, would this be so hard to believe? The Biden-Harris admin let a Chinese spy balloon fly across the entire U.S., surveilling national security site, till finally blowing it up way off the east coast.

Most of the 5K drone reports turned out to be planes, hobbyists and stars, feds say

The FBI has yet to uncover anything alarming or abnormal in its ongoing investigation into more than 5,000 reported sightings of drones in New Jersey and other states over the last month, the bureau said Monday.

The 5,000 tips generated around 100 leads for investigators, the FBI said in a rare joint statement with the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Defense.

The rest of the reports were ruled out by investigators, who have determined the sightings were mostly lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones, law enforcement drones, airplanes and helicopters.

Some were also stars people mistook for drones.

Right, right, people were simply mistaking slow moving/stationary drones for fast moving airplanes. And people do not know what stars are. I wish I could find the link, I might have heard it on the radio, where the feds were saying that people in Central NJ aren’t too familiar with all those airplanes, and some NJ Congressman or Assemblyman mentioned that there are three international airports in the NYC area, one in Philly, plus smaller ones in Trenton and Atlantic city, and lots of small airports. Not too mention all the traffic coming north and southbound. It’s really patronizing.

During an interview with ABC News on Monday, New Jersey Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin (D) reacted to suggestions that the uptick in reported drone sightings in the state is due to people not being familiar with air traffic by stating that, in the part of New Jersey he lives in, “We’re really used to air traffic over our heads” due to the proximity to busy airports and “there is something significantly different” and “part of it is, we’re hearing from people in parts of the state that routinely don’t have that same kind of air traffic in the northwest part of the state and the southern parts of the state.”

Coughlin said, “I heard your colleague talking about how we’re not — we may not be used to things in the air. The truth of the matter is, I live in the central part of the state, and it’s — I live not far from Newark Airport and between Newark and Kennedy and JFK, three of the busiest airports in the world. We’re really used to air traffic over our heads. And so, it hasn’t — there is something significantly different that is causing people to be — part of it is, we’re hearing from people in parts of the state that routinely don’t have that same kind of air traffic in the northwest part of the state and the southern parts of the state. So, it’s all over.”

Who flies there expensive personal drone at night, and, why has the amount of drones suddenly dropped?

Stupid: People Claiming They Got Chlamydia From Gym Machines

This is one of the dumbest things I’ve read this week

A leading doctor has weighed in on viral social media claims that say that it’s possible to get chlamydia from touching gym equipment.

The rumor began with a TikToker who claimed he contracted the STI at the gym after wiping his eye with a towel that he had placed on a bench.

User @grinny45 said he had to visit his doctor after getting what he thought was “pink eye” also known as conjunctivitis, a minor infection of the eye.

But tests revealed it was actually chlamydia.

Confused, as he hadn’t been sexually active, the doctor asked if he worked out in a public gym.

“Chances are someone has sweated on the seat you put your gym towel [on], wiped your face, and [got] pink eye,” his doctor apparently told him.

Yeah, really, most likely he was simply making up a story, because doctors do, in fact, know better

In another video, user @alaskaaayoung77 blamed this on the phenomenon of women going commando in the gym.

Others then responded and shared clips of themselves excessively wiping down gym equipment, in fear of getting “eye chlamydia.”

Alaskaaa sounds fun, if you can take her stupid video, sitting in her car with way too much makeup on

Now, Dr. Zac Turner, a leading biomedical scientist and doctor from Sydney, has offered his medical verdict.

Can you get chlamydia from gym equipment?

Short answer? No.

“Chlamydia is not the ghost of sweaty treadmills past, waiting to haunt your reproductive health,” according to Zac.

You can get a lot of other things at the gym, so, wipe the benches and equipment down when you’re done using it. Wash your hands. I wash them after using the machines, and then after using a treadmill or stationary bike. I’m a bit zealous after working in wireless years ago and seeing the condition of people’s phones. I avoid touching the benches that much. Oh, and I don’t have unprotected sex with shady people then blame the resulting STD on being at the gym. Which we all know is what really happened. You get chlamydia from sexual activity, oral, anal, and vaginal. That’s it. You know the people making these claims have friends who know exactly what happened, probably involving alcohol and a hookup.

I do live that the NY Post uses a photo of a woman in essentially a thong working out. Good way to get other infections.

NJ Governor Wants All You Peasants To Chill Out Over Drones

Don’t you peasants understand that your rulers in Government know better than you?

N.J. needs to ‘calm down’ about drones, Gov. Murphy says. Sightings are down.

Gov. Phil Murphy was asked Monday what message he had for people in New Jersey who have been staring up at the night sky anxiously looking for flying lights, worried about a strange wave of reported drone sightings in recent weeks.

“First of all, I’d say calm down,” Murphy said during a news conference at the Statehouse in Trenton. “There’s no evidence of anything nefarious here. We never say never, but … take a breath.”

Murphy also said drone sighting reports in the Garden State have been “down meaningfully” in recent days — to just 12 on Saturday night and one on Sunday night. That’s down from 49 last Sunday.

How do people calm down when there is zero explanation as to what the drones were doing and who’s they were? Does Murphy now know something that he is not saying to We The People? The people do have a right to know, so, no, they do not need to chill out, they need answers, not patronizing placation.

Murphy said he understands everyone’s concerns. For days, officials — including the governor — said they didn’t believe residents were in danger, though they didn’t know exactly what the objects were or where they came from. That caused a combination of fear, guessing, and frustration among residents and local officials — as well as several conspiracy theories.

How would they know that the people weren’t in danger when they didn’t know anything about the drones?

“I can’t walk out that door and have somebody not stop me and say, ‘Tell me what’s going on with the drones,’” the governor said. “And I get that completely. It’s unnerving and it’s really when life is not a math problem with X plus Y equals Z where there’s a hard and fast answer.”

“People rightfully get uncomfortable, a little bit anxious. I just wish elected officials were calm influences in the absence of more knowledge.”

Asked if this is all the result of mass hysteria and inflated sighting numbers, Murphy said: “I hesitate to use mass hysteria because I think the anxiety is legitimate.”

Yes, it is, so, get some answers, sparky.

Those comments stood in contrast to ones made Monday by President-elect Donald Trump, who was asked about drones during his own news conference at his Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida around the same time as Murphy’s.

Trump, a Republican who takes office next month, said he believes “the government knows what is happening” but “for some reason, they don’t want to comment.”

This would be the same government that can figure out which grandmas wandered peacefully through the Congressional building on J6 and hunted down and arrested them from blurry photos.

Looking Ahead to Climate Litigation in 2025: Progress, Challenges, and Opportunities

As the days grow shorter and I prepare for the holiday season, it’s a fitting moment to reflect on the state of climate litigation—a field that continues to evolve as both a tool for accountability and an arena for climate action. In the past year, we’ve seen significant victories that inspire hope, like the Swiss KlimaSeniorinnen case, which called for an improved government climate action plan; Held v. Montana, where young plaintiffs won the first U.S. trial court ruling affirming a constitutional right to a safe climate; and in Hawaii, which settled a landmark transportation-related case that will fund critical efforts to decarbonize its transit system. These victories illustrate the power of courts to advance meaningful progress in climate governance and highlight the growing importance of science and scientists in providing the evidence needed to inform these legal decisions.

Yet, progress often feels frustratingly slow. In the U.S., cases challenging fossil fuel companies for decades of climate disinformation remain stalled, tied up by the defendants in procedural wrangling that prevents them from being heard on their merits, delaying justice for affected communities. It’s a familiar frustration: will 2025 finally be the year these cases move forward?

While I’ve learned not to make bold predictions on this front, I remain cautiously optimistic. In fact, last week the U.S. Department of Justice weighed in on this with two key Supreme Court briefs supporting state-level climate lawsuits. In both cases, the DOJ sided with local governments, arguing that their claims against fossil fuel companies for misleading the public about climate harms should proceed under state law. These briefs underscore a clear federal stance on the importance of preserving state-level legal avenues to address deceptive practices.

The cult has been pushing spreading awareness for 30+ years, and they’ve decided that if they cannot convince you to give up your money, freedom, and life choices to cult doctrine, and can only get some much done via the ballot box, well, they’ll just get courts to force this upon you. While most of these same scam scientists trot around in fossil fueled vehicles and take long fossil fueled flights to climate conferences.

Another defining feature of 2025 will be the continued rise of greenwashing lawsuits. These cases, which challenge companies for making deceptive claims about their climate commitments or sustainability efforts, are becoming a cornerstone of climate litigation. Over 140 such cases have been filed globally since 2016, with 47 new filings in 2023 alone.

As we’ve seen, many companies are simply abandoning climate pledges because the cult is shaking them down via what should be considered frivolous lawsuits

2025 holds immense promise, but it also demands care, creativity, and persistence. While we are facing great challenges in the U.S. and around the world, courts have shown they can play a transformative role in shaping our collective response to climate change. As we look to the year ahead, let us renew our resolve to leverage every available tool—legal, scientific, and political—to combat the greatest challenge of our time. Together, we can create the conditions for a more just, sustainable future.

That’s not what courts were meant for, especially when they are pushing cult doctrine.

Democrat Senators Want Transgender “Care” Ban Removed From Defense Bill

Of course they do. But, what they want removed isn’t for active duty soldiers: it’s something more nefarious. Evil, even?

Democratic senators seek to ax transgender care ban from defense bill

Fourteen Democratic senators will introduce an amendment Monday evening to remove language from Congress’ massive defense spending bill that seeks to ban coverage of gender-affirming care for transgender children of service members, the office of Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., told NBC News.

The 1,800-page National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, passed the House last week by a vote of 281-140, with 200 Republicans and 81 Democrats voting “yes,” and 124 Democrats and 16 Republicans voting “no.” The $895 billion bill authorizes the annual budget for the Defense Department and sets defense policies for the upcoming year.

The group of 14 senators, led by Baldwin — who will be the Senate’s sole LGBTQ member in the new term — is seeking to remove a provision tucked into the bill that would prohibit “medical treatment for military dependents under the age of 18 who are diagnosed with gender dysphoria” under the military’s health care program, Tricare.

“Let’s be clear: we’re talking about parents who are in uniform serving our country who have earned the right to make the best decisions for their families. I trust our servicemembers and their doctors to make the best healthcare decisions for their kids, not politicians,” Baldwin said in a statement. “Our amendment would protect military families’ right to make their own decisions and access sometimes lifesaving care for their children.”

Evil. These Democrats want to make sure kids are continuing to be brainwashed into this growing cult, and have their lives destroyed to make sure they are good little Democratic Party voters. If these military members want their kids to go through this stuff, let them pay for it, not the taxpayers. What really should happen is the parent or parents be arrested and charged with felony child abuse.

Related, there’s a lot of confusing as to whom the wackjob school shooter Monday was. A few say a MTF gender confused, way more say FTM gender confused, then you have Andy Ngo, whom I trust a lot

The teen girl used the name “Sam” online and the username “crossixir.” She had an extensive online obsession with school shooters and death, particularly the 1999 Columbine High School shooting. Rupnow was a big fan of the KMFDM rock band, which was also referenced by one of the Columbine shooters. (She often wore the shirt of the band.)

Rupnow’s online friends identified the X account, which purported to belong to the shooter, soon after news broke of the shooting. The account’s last post is of an “okay” hand symbol in the school’s bathroom by the library minutes before the shooting.

But, Natalie was using Sam and crossixir, as well as they/them pronouns online, so, there was some adult/fad driven mental illness. Interestingly, the police refuse to release any information on the shooter. It’s interesting how in some cases that happens, eh?

‘Climate Change’ Is Totally Health Care Or Something

Climate change is one of the key public health threats of our modern time. Penn Nursing faculty are spearheading vital research and community engagement at the intersection of climate change and public health.

“Nurses are well equipped to understand the multiplicity of ways that climate change can impact someone’s health,” says Sara F. Jacoby, an associate professor of nursing at Penn’s School of Nursing. Leaders like Jacoby are driving nursing efforts to stand as a frontline defense against health crises influenced by our changing planet and preparing nursing students to be the future of those critical efforts.

How about preparing them to do their f’ing jobs as nurses, not be climate cult members?

Certain Philadelphia neighborhoods—particularly those with little green space amid the dark pavement— can become “heat islands” in the summer months, reaching temperatures as much as 12 degrees hotter than other communities in the city. But it’s not just the physical impacts of extreme heat that worry Jacoby, whose research areas include the social and structural factors related to firearm violence.

“In city environments, one of the most emergent exposures correlated to increased risk for firearm violence is heat, specifically heat islands,” she says. “Climate change will likely make things worse in places where there is already a relationship between extreme heat and endemic firearm violence.”

Right, right, it’s totally the heat that’s causing the residents of Philly and other Democrat run cities to shoot each other. But, these are the cult talking points, meant to create a path to put health care under the banner of global boiling.

DHS Head Myorkas Admits People In NJ Are, In Fact, Seeing Drones In The Sky

Does this mean the rest of the federal government talkers can drop the whole “don’t believe your stupid eyes, believe The Government” talking point about the drones being planes and helicopters?

Feds say people in N.J. are ‘no question’ seeing drones, pledge action

A few days after federal officials downplayed widespread reports of mysterious night-time drone sightings in New Jersey, a member of President Joe Biden’s cabinet clarified Sunday that people are indeed seeing drones in the skies over the Garden State.

Well, at least some of those objects are drones, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said.

“There’s no question that people are seeing drones,” Mayorkas said during a television interview on ABC’s “This Week.“

He added that the U.S. government is taking action on the matter.

“I want to assure the American public that we in the federal government have deployed additional resources, personnel, and technology to assist the New Jersey State Police in addressing the drone sightings,” Mayorkas said.

What resources? No one is hearing from the NJSP about this. There are not articles with press briefings. No one is stopping the drones. But, here’s where it gets silly

Mayorkas added there are thousands of drones flown every day in the U.S., including recreational and commercial drones, and that the Federal Aviation Administration changed rules in 2023 so drones could fly at night. That, he said, could explain some of this.

Do citizens own very large drones? Did they suddenly start flying their heavy, large drones at night en mass? How about in the other states seeing this?

‘This has gone too far’: N.Y. governor calls for federal assistance after mysterious drones shut down airport

Mysterious drones in New York temporarily shut down runways at an Orange County airport, a frustrated governor said, calling for federal assistance and declaring that “this has gone too far.”

The New York Stewart International Airport was forced to close runways Friday night for about an hour “due to drone activity in the airspace,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said in a statement.

It is, again, against FAA regulations to fly a drone within a restricted airspace, it doesn’t matter whether day or night. Yet, all the feds are doing is talking.

“But in order to allow state law enforcement to work on this issue, I am now calling on Congress to pass the Counter-UAS Authority Security, Safety, and Reauthorization Act,” Hochul said. “This bill would reform legal authorities to counter-UAS and strengthen the FAA’s oversight of drones, and would extend counter-UAS activities to select state and local law enforcement agencies.”

“Extending these powers to New York State and our peers is essential. Until those powers are granted to state and local officials, the Biden Administration must step in by directing additional federal law enforcement to New York and the surrounding region to ensure the safety of our critical infrastructure and our people,” Hochul added.

There’s actually a lot of conspiracy theories about this, that the drones are meant to force passage of the bill, which would enable more warrantless surveillance of citizens and so much more. I’m not going to touch on that, or the other conspiracy theories. I think it’s just a lazy Biden administration.
