Dems Finally Get Maryland Man Gang Member Kilmar Back. Oh, And He’s Been Indicted

What’s the old saying, Democrats, about being careful what you wish for?

DOJ Returns Kilmar Abrego Garcia to U.S. to Face Human Smuggling Charges

The Department of Justice has returned deported migrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States to face charges that he smuggled many migrants — including minors — into the United States.

The return follows an extensive grand jury investigation into Abrego Garcia’s background.

The return is also a White House concession to demands by federal judges that prosecutors go through the lengthening “due process.” In the case of Abrego Garcia, a judge has told federal officials they must pick a deportation destination and then persuade the judge that Abrego Garcia will be safe once he is deported.

This time-consuming legal process comes years after Abrego Garcia was formally told by a judge in 2019 that he would be deported.

The grand jury indicted Abrego Garcia for allegedly being in a gang that transported thousands of migrants, including MS-13 gangsters, into the United States.

Yeah, he was indicted for over 100 human smuggling trips. Do you still want to stand behind him, Democrats? Do you feel good about your support of him?

Well, you got him back, Washington Post. Happy? Perhaps throwing all your support behind an MS-13 member who beat his wife and was smuggling children was a bad idea?

MSNBC: You Should Root For The Edmonton Oilers Because Orange Man Bad

No one is really surprised by this from Dave Hill at MSNBC, are they? Sure, he tries to give a few other reasons to root for the Oilers, but, it’s really about TDS

Opinion | Why Americans should root for the Canadian team in the Stanley Cup Finals

Whether you’re an actual Canadian person or simply one of the roughly 10% of Americans who, like me, consider themselves diehard ice hockey fans, this week no doubt finds you largely consumed — if not full-on bedridden — by a little something I like to call Stanley Cup Fever (or La Fièvre de la Coupe Stanley as it is known to my avid French Canadian readership).

This year’s contest is a rematch of last year’s finals — with the Edmonton Oilers facing off against the defending champion Florida Panthers. There is no shortage of reasons I am rooting for the Oilers to whip the Panthers around like a bunch of rag dolls and assume their rightful place as Stanley Cup champions for the first time in 35 years — and also the first Canadian franchise to win the Cup in … wait for it … 32 years.

I insist you root for the Oilers, as well.

Insist? Really? I couldn’t care less who wins. I do not dislike either team. But, insist? Bite me. Anyhow, his first reason is that the Oilers were his favorite team growing up. Second because hockey is a cold weather sport and it’s been a long time since a Canadian team won (the 1992-1993 season, Canadians). But, that’s all window dressing

But the biggest reason, with geopolitical importance, that I would like the Oilers to beat the Panthers is that we live in a time when the actual president of the United States — whose non-White House primary residence just so happens to be a resort/ex-wife cemetery in South Florida — suggests with disturbing regularity that Canada should become the 51st state. Aside from a handful of people I will (at the risk of sounding uncharitable) call Albertan lunatics, almost no one in Canada would ever entertain the prospect of being annexed by the neighbor to the South.

In light of this, this year’s Stanley Cup is bigger than just the game of hockey, sort of like how the U.S. men’s team’s facing off against the Soviet Union in the 1980 Winter Olympics was essentially the Cold War on ice (Note to self: Write musical titled “The Cold War on Ice.”)

I wouldn’t go as far as to say that the Oilers’ winning the sacred chalice of Canada’s Game would send a message to Donald Trump, as I’m not convinced he is capable of receiving such things. But I do think it would upset him. And I really like that idea.

He likes it so much that he makes up words

“The once great sport of hockey has been ruined by the foreigners of Edmonton, who are not very nice,” the president might say. “Brave men on very cold water, ice they call it, with knives strapped to their feet … not butter knives but more like steak knives that you would use to eat Trump Steaks … not that you would even need a knife to eat a Trump steak, because they were very tender, very tender, almost like liquid meat, many people have said, including chef Guy Fieri, who is a great friend, but the nasty Canadian Oilers will never know because they, just like my son Eric, will never be invited to the White House, this much I can tell you.”

“Also hockey is canceled in Florida. Your tax dollars will not pay for Brad Marchand any longer. One more thing: If global warming is real, then why is there ice inside the arena?”

Go, Canada. Go, Oilers.

Just straight moonbattery. Category 5. Real hockey fans do not care if it is an American team or Canadian team. It’s all based on the teams playing. If the Rangers or Flyers or Bruins were playing the Oilers, I’d root for the Oilers. If the Ducks were playing the Maple Leafs, I’d root for the Ducks, not because they are Canadian, but, really, who doesn’t like to see the Leafs fail (except Leafs fans) with the call of “this is our year”, much like we like seeing the Cowboys yearly collapse? But, the Trump Deranged live in a wackadoodle world, you know.

Republicans Prepare To Do Something About Putin’s Ukraine War Or Something

So, what can possibly be done that hasn’t been done during the Biden years. And that’s a word not mentioned in the Politico piece: Biden. But, the piece is meant to be a hit job on Trump

‘Gee, I Don’t Know How We Can Stop This’: Republicans Prepare to Push Trump on Putin

While Ukraine just pulled off an audacious and effective attack on Russia’s bomber fleet, Vladimir Putin is slow-walking Donald Trump’s effort to nudge the warring countries toward peace talks and continuing to kill Ukrainian civilians, irritating the American president.

Soon, Trump could have on his desk a sanctions bill that would do grave damage to Russia’s capacity to fund the war by targeting the countries still buying Moscow’s oil and gas, the lifeline of their economy. The measure, co-sponsored by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), has amassed a remarkable 82 sponsors and both Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Speaker Mike Johnson this week vocalized their support for confronting Russia.

There may not be again such an opportune moment to squeeze Putin and finally force him to the negotiating table.

Trump has gotten this further than Biden ever did. Not that things are really happening, because Ukraine refuses to give up land, and also wants Crimea back. This bill would hit France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic in the EU. And India and Japan. And China. Some have significantly cut down their reliance, but, do still get natural gas from Russia. Getting beyond the notion of whether or not it is a wise idea to sanction friendly countries, will it actually move the needle towards stopping the war? Sanctions haven’t done a damned thing so far.

There’s only one hold-up: Trump doesn’t seem to want to.

There’s little indication he will publicly green-light Congress to send him the bill, let alone sign it were it to ever reach him, prerequisites for it to clear both chambers. In fact, on Wednesday the president, after speaking to Putin, released a statement previewing Russia’s reprisals for the airfield attack without any denunciation and intimated he’d rather have Putin’s help with Iran than push the Russian strongman toward a ceasefire in Ukraine. By Thursday, Trump wasn’t just offering punditry about Moscow’s coming counter-attacks, he was portraying more fighting as inevitable and perhaps even useful, likening the two nations to children on a playground better left to fight it out till they each tire.

See? Trump Trump Trump.

The gap between GOP lawmakers eager to starve the Russian war machine and a president more interested in, as he says, getting along with Putin in hopes they can do great deals together has never been starker. And it is about to present a test of Republican leaders in Congress: Is there anything on which they will force Trump’s hand?

Blah blah blah. No one is asking the question: will it do anything?

Preserving Forests Is Bad For Global Boiling Or Something

So, trees are now bad? This means the whole carbon market where they (say they will) plant trees was a scam?

Forest preservation can worsen climate change, UN affiliate says

Carbon markets that fund forest preservation and tree-planting might actually be worsening climate change by increasing risks for wildfires that emit massive levels of greenhouse gases, a new United Nations-affiliated report says.

Forests have been seen as one of the most effective places to counter climate change by absorbing carbon emissions. But that’s changed, says a May paper from the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH), an academic arm of the international U.N.

In the past decade, wildfires of record-breaking size have erupted in places such as Canada, Australia, Siberia and the Amazon rainforest. This week, forest wildfires forced evacuations of thousands of Canadians in Manitoba and Alberta provinces.

“Forests and peatlands have increasingly transitioned into massive carbon emitters in many parts of the world due to increasing wildfires,” the report says. Climate policies and carbon-mitigation activities ”fail to account for these substantial emissions.”

The report highlights weaknesses in a central global strategy for addressing climate change — planting and protecting trees — which has attracted billions of dollars from polluters that fund the projects to offset their own carbon emissions. A large share of the money is paid through the voluntary carbon market, a largely unregulated system that has come under increasing scrutiny over its integrity.

The rest is behind a pretty strong paywall, but, you get the idea. Has anyone considered doing proper forest management, clearing brush and dead trees, keeping wackos who set fires out, and doing backburns (like the Native Americans did)?

They do understand that wildfires are, in fact, a natural part of the world, right?

State Dept Sanctions Jew And America Hating ICC Judges

No longer will the US tolerate unhinged international judges going after US troops and Israel/Jews while backing Islamic terrorist organizations, especially not when these EU judges live under the very freedom the US has provided

US sanctions International Criminal Court judges linked to Israel, Afghanistan probes

The U.S. sanctioned four International Criminal Court judges on Thursday, ratcheting up Trump administration efforts to punish the body for investigations it considers hostile.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the measures in a statement that cited both the court’s probe of alleged war crimes by U.S. troops in Afghanistan and its issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

“These four individuals have actively engaged in the ICC’s illegitimate and baseless actions targeting America or our close ally, Israel,” Rubio said.

“The ICC is politicized and falsely claims unfettered discretion to investigate, charge, and prosecute nationals of the United States and our allies,” he said. “This dangerous assertion and abuse of power infringes upon the sovereignty and national security of the United States and our allies, including Israel.”

The U.S. move creates friction between the U.S. and the Netherlands ahead of the NATO summit later this month in the Hague, where the international court is based. It will be up to the European Union to decide whether to use its blocking statute to protect European businesses and individuals from American sanctions that it deems abusive or unreasonable.

They can caterwaul all they want: they are in no position to make demands. America will not tolerate this anymore.

Neither the U.S. nor Israel is a member of the ICC and they do not recognize its jurisdiction. Trump also targeted the ICC with sanctions during his first term to protest the court’s probes into Israel and alleged U.S. war crimes in Afghanistan. Former President Joe Biden rescinded those sanctions in 2021 and his government shared evidence of Russian war crimes in Ukraine with the tribunal.

These judges hate Israel and Jews, like so many of the Elites do. The warrants they put on Hamas leaders had no real teeth, but, they really want to arrest Netanyahu and shut down Israel in favor of the Palestinians, who, by the way, would be happy to slit the throats of these same judges as infidels.

LOL: Europe Not Ready For Russian Invasion Due To Climate (scam) Rules

Perhaps they should ditch this idiocy, in much the same way Trump and Hegseth have dumped DEI, Trans, and green crap for the US military

Green rules ‘stop Europe preparing for Russian invasion’

European countries have blamed EU environmental regulations for hindering their preparations for defending against a possible Russian invasion.

In a leaked letter obtained by The Telegraph, the nations’ defence ministers argued that the rules had stopped the expansion of military bases and prevented fighter jet pilots from training.

In a letter to Andrius Kubilius, the defence commissioner, the ministers said it was clear that EU legislation must “not prevent member states’ armed forces from carrying out necessary activities to become operationally ready. But right now, it does.”

They said this was “mainly (but not exclusively) in the areas of procurement legislation, nature conservation and environmental protection, and more generally the administrative burden on defence organisations deriving from various EU legal acts”.

The letter was signed by the Dutch, Swedish, German, Belgian, Czech, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Finnish, Estonian and Danish governments.

In other words, they are boned. Well, at least the armaments they have left after giving so much to Ukraine

In 2023, the European commission published its Greening the Armies report, highlighting ways in which militaries present a challenge to tackling climate change.

It pushed for European armed forces to consider more virtual training exercises, rather than real-world sessions, in order to cut down on emissions.

There’s no substitute for actually doing training for real.

The EU has set itself a target to be prepared for a potential Russian invasion in five years time. It is hoped the bloc’s strategy will see around €800 billion (£674 billion) spent on defence in that period by relaxing debt rules and using joint debt to fund purchases.

The commission had promised to ease regulations that could hinder the rearmament efforts, but has yet to do so in any significant way. Sustainable finance rules, which state that investments must be made with the environment in mind, have also been considered a hindrance.

Eco-zealotry is damning Europe. Putin might have an easier time rolling over the EU than Ukraine.

A thought provoking comment at the article: “Funny they worry about a Russian invasion while welcoming the Islamic invaders into every EU nation. “

Trump Implements Travel Ban On Unfriendly Countries

Obviously, travel bans are Bad when Trump implements them. They were fine when Biden implemented them on many countries over Wuhan Flu. And when Obama had travel bans and heavy visa restrictions on some nations, including a few that Trump has restricted again

Trump signs order banning citizens of 12 countries from entering the US

Donald Trump has signed a sweeping order banning travel from 12 countries and restricting travel from seven others, reviving and expanding the travel bans from his first term.

The nationals of Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen will be “fully” restricted from entering the US, according to the proclamation. Meanwhile, the entry of nationals of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela will be partially restricted.

The US president said that he “considered foreign policy, national security, and counterterrorism goals” in deciding the scope of the ban. Trump had cued up the ban in an executive order signed on 20 January, his first day back in the White House, instructing his administration to submit a list of candidates for a ban by 21 March.

Trump has cited a range of justifications for the bans, including national security and concerns that visitors from those countries are overstaying their visas.

But advocates and experts have said that blanket travel bans discriminate against groups of people based on ethnicity alone. They will likely result – as the travels bans did during Trump’s first term – in the separation of families. The bans on travel from Haiti, Cuba and Venezuela could be especially impactful in US communities with huge immigrant populations from those countries.

In other words, the leftards want to continue allowing hardcore Islamists and Jew haters into the U.S. They were quiet when Biden banned visitors for COVID, didn’t care. Biden was quick to label Trump’s protectionist measures for COVID travel blocks racist and xenophobic, yet, did it himself, and the NY Times, Washington Post, etc, were silent.

“This discriminatory policy, which limits legal immigration, not only flies in the face of what our country is supposed to stand for, it will be harmful to our economy and communities that rely on the contributions of people who come to America from this wide range of countries,” said Pramila Jayapal, a Democratic representative of Washington.

Well, of course the Islamist says that

Well, they have their talking point about separating families down. She’s upset that Somalis, who are Islamists and have a 3rd world mentality, are blocked even from visiting, especially since she is here to represent Somalia first.

California Considers Banning Plants Within 5 Feet Of Homes

This is the same California that does a piss poor job of clearing brush, filling reservoirs, and inspecting infrastructure, which is often the start of fires. Oh, and all the homeless who start fires

California plan to ban most plants within 5 feet of homes for wildfire safety overlooks some important truths about flammability

One of the most striking patterns in the aftermath of many urban fires is how much unburned green vegetation remains amid the wreckage of burned neighborhoods.

In some cases, a row of shrubs may be all that separates a surviving house from one that burned just a few feet away.

As scientists who study how vegetation ignites and burns, we recognize that well-maintained plants and trees can actually help protect homes from wind-blown embers and slow the spread of fire in some cases. So, we are concerned about new wildfire protection regulations being developed by the state of California that would prohibit almost all plants and other combustible material within 5 feet of homes, an area known as “Zone 0.”

Wildfire safety guidelines have long encouraged homeowners to avoid having flammable materials next to their homes. But the state’s plan for an “ember-resistant zone,” being expedited under an executive order from Gov. Gavin Newsom, goes further by also prohibiting grass, shrubs and many trees in that area.

The article goes through a long discussion of how plants next to homes can help reduce the chances of a home burning

The Zone 0 regulations California’s State Board of Forestry is developing are part of broader efforts to reduce fire risk around homes and communities. They would apply in regions considered at high risk of wildfires or defended by CAL FIRE, the state’s firefighting agency.

Many of the latest Zone 0 recommendations, such as prohibiting mulch and attached fences made of materials that can burn, stem from large-scale tests conducted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety. These features can be systematically analyzed.

Instead of banning plants (I’m sure the state will pay inspectors some good money to go around and fine homeowners) and fences and such, how about doing the things that can actually prevent wildfires? Or, would that make too much sense in the People’s Republik Of California?
