The most wonderful Dolly Parton passed away today at 80. A great songwriter and a kind, confident and giving soul. She composed some 3000 songs.
A great American treasure from the hills of eastern Tennesee. She releaed over 50 solo albums.
Dolly Rebecca Parton was born on January 19, 1946, in a one-room cabin on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in Pittman Center, Tennessee.

In February 2018, she donated her 100 millionth free book, a copy of Parton’s children’s picture book Coat of Many Colors, to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. and was honored by the Library on account of the “charity sending out its 100 millionth book”.
Is it really sad that Dolly Parton has gone to her eternal reward? She led a good and worthwhile life, and lived until she was 80 years old. We will all die eventually, and who among us will live a life more rewarding and beloved than Dolly’s?
