I think the acronym they’re looking for is PEST, Post Election Selection Trauma, which first made its appearance when Democrats (and Bush hating people in other countries) just couldn’t handle the re-election of President George W. Bush, not PTSD
25% of millennials say they have PTSD from the 2016 election, study says https://t.co/x2mFkaIXsc

A quarter of students found the 2016 so traumatic they now report symptoms of PTSD, according to a new study.
Researchers surveyed Arizona State University students around the time of President Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2017, and some had stress scores on par with that of school shooting witnesses’ seven-month follow-ups.
Twenty-five percent of the 769 students, who were an even mix of genders and races and socioeconomic backgrounds, reported ‘clinically significant’ levels of stress.
The most severe cases were seen among women, black, and non-white Hispanic students, who were 45 percent more likely to feel distressed by the 2016 run between Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Lead researcher Melissa Hagan, an assistant professor of psychology at San Francisco State University, believes the ‘divisive tone’ about race, identity, and what makes a valuable American ‘really heightened stress for a lot of people’. (snip)
In terms of how the election impacted their lives, 65 percent said there was no impact. Ten percent said they saw a positive impact.
But a quarter were so crestfallen their symptoms would be deemed a medical condition, severe enough to interfere with their work, social activities, and personal relationships.

People like this are too emotionally fragile and immature to be allowed to have the franchise.

The Cult of Climastrology can’t seem to win at the ballot box with ‘climate change’, at least not often. So, they want to sue to force their beliefs on everyone else
Outdoor lovers sue US government over climate change
The Animal Legal Defense Fund sued Monday to force the U.S. government to target climate change, coming days after a similar lawsuit filed by young activists was temporarily put on hold by the Supreme Court.
Those who joined the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Oregon include scientists, nature enthusiasts and wildlife advocates who say they fear for their safety as wildfires, mudslides and other threats grow more severe, The Oregonian/OregonLive reported .
They say they have a fundamental right to be left alone “free from human interference†in the wilderness and they want a federal judge to declare that the federal government is violating that right by contributing to a dangerous concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Animal Defense Fund member and plaintiff Michael Goetz of Portland said that on a recent backpacking trip, wildfire smoke was so intense that couldn’t see his hand in front of his face, according to the lawsuit.
Outdoor adventure athlete Will Gadd also joined the lawsuit, which said he has witnessed melting ice and glaciers while climbing in conditions that are much more dangerous now than they were years ago when he first began climbing.
Well, that’s strange, because they’re not leaving animals “free from human interference” while doing their outdoor shtick’s.
“Will is harmed by the government’s actions and inactions to stem the severity of climate change because he is prevented from reasonably and safely exercising his right to wilderness on which he relies for his physical and mental well—being as well as his global status as an outdoor adventurer and educator,†the suit says.
Oh, wait, my mistake, I figured that the Animal Legal Defense Fund was about protecting animals. Alas, no, this is all about an utter freakout over a minor 1.4-1.5 Fahrenheit increase in global temperatures, which is less than previous Holocene warm periods.
I wonder if they take fossil fueled trips out to the wilderness?
The new lawsuit (as opposed to the one from the “kids” which started out suing Obama) takes a different approach, said Carter Dillard, senior policy adviser for the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
While the young people’s case focuses on constitutional rights to life, liberty and property and protection of public resources, the one filed Monday focuses on “the simple right to be let alone, the right long recognized and protected under banners like privacy and liberty,†Dillard told the newspaper in an email.
Perhaps Skeptics should counter-sue, claiming the “simple right to be let alone” from the nefarious big government, big taxation schemes of Warmists who also refuse to practice what they preach.
One thing, the lawsuit doesn’t really state what they expect the government to actually do.

This is what you get when one political party entices and incentivizes people to force their way into our country (photos by John Moore of Getty Images)
(Daily Caller) An estimated 5,000-7,000 Central American migrants have stormed past the Guatemalan-Mexican border and are marching toward the United States, according to the latest reports on the ground from Mexico.
The caravan has now swelled to many thousands, bringing into question the funding and motivation of the diverse group of migrants walking, driving and traveling by railcar to the US border.
At the White House Monday, President Trump doubled down on the assertion that the migrants had been infiltrated by nefarious elements that mean the US harm. “Sadly, it looks like Mexico’s Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States,†Trump said, “Criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in. I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergency. Must change laws!â€
The most recent photos to come from the migrant mass traveling through Mexico show the sheer size of the caravan. Thousands of migrants stretch as far as the eye can see in some photos. All of the below photos were taken on the Mexican side of the border.

Pretty big, eh? Here’s one even more interesting

And this
No, the migrant caravan isn't walking the entire way through Mexico.

Not a lot of women and children. Mostly men 45 and under. Strange, that. If they make it and we’re forced to take them in we should release them until processed in the city of Sacramento, the center of “resistance.”
Remember, folks, this totally isn’t a religion or cult or something
#GreenReligion update from Yale: "The rabbi who blessed electric vehicles" https://t.co/OqOzXY7Fm1
— Tom Nelson (@TomANelson) October 22, 2018
From the link
Last May, Rabbi Joel Abraham drove his Chevy Volt to Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. As rabbi of nearby Temple Sholom, he joined other local clergy for an interfaith blessing of electric vehicles.
At the event, electric cars and chargers were on display. The goal was to educate faith leaders about how EVs can help reduce air pollution in Newark.
Abraham: “Newark is a huge port, so one of the problems or challenges with the port is not only do you have many diesel operated vehicles coming into the port to pick up things and take them out, but also, the large equipment that’s used – the cranes, the dock vehicles, all of those things – use petroleum products and create all these fumes for the people who live in the area.â€
The event rallied clergy behind campaigns that call for electric cargo handling equipment at the port, electric buses, and more EV-charging stations in the city.
Rabbi Abraham says there’s a moral reason for clergy to lead on this issue.
Abraham: “In the Jewish context, what we usually talk about is that we are given not dominion to rule over the earth, but really given the responsibility to care for the earth.â€
The good Rabbi does realize that his Volt still uses gasoline, right? And that it was made using tons of fossil fuels and other things that put out “carbon pollution,” right? In fact, there are many, many studies that say that electric cars are bad for the actual environment. If the good Rabbi and his buds really cared, they wouldn’t drive vehicles at all. They’d have no houses of worship, which use vast amounts of electricity, and for which used lots of fossil fuels to be constructed. And all those who take fossil fueled trips to worship.

And, really, change the entire economic system for the world. Because this all about science, folks
This week, one of authors of that bleak “hothouse” report has co-authored a new one that models how the world and its people may fare in the coming decades. In brief, ecologist Johan Rockström, who directs the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Stockholm, thinks there might be a way to cut global emissions while eliminating poverty and hunger and keeping the world cool enough to sustain future generations.
“This is actually quite uplifting,” Rockström recently told a crowd at the TED Conference New York Headquarters, before the report came out.
But the plan requires enormous shifts in the way we do everything, from how we distribute money to the ways we grow our food.
Here’s his 5 part “plan”
What of the other 2?
3. Fundamentally shift the way we create new wealth and prosperity
“We’re quite clever at short-term lifting people out of poverty,” Rockström told Business Insider. But there’s a hidden cost in our current models of economic development: “the wealth that we’ve created in countries like the US, or my own home country Sweden, has occurred at the expense of the climate system,” he said.
In other words, something other than capitalism. Say, a government run economic system? Warmists often do not want to truly spell it out.
4. Ensure the richest 10% of people on Earth don’t hold on to more than 40% of its wealth
Rockström’s plan also demands a dramatic reshuffling of the world’s cash. More taxes on top earners could pay for better infrastructure, while improvements in wages would be a welcome bump for middle class workers, many of whom haven’t seen their pay go up much since the 1970s. Some of that shared money would also get used for healthcare, while other funds could go to education and investments in more sustainable buildings and cities around the world.
Currently, the top 1% of people own nearly half of the world’s household wealth. According to Credit Suisse’s 2018 global wealth report, “the richest decile (top 10% of adults) owns 85% of global wealth, and the top percentile alone accounts for almost half of all household wealth (47%).” This is especially true in the US, which has more members of the 1% than any other country. Credit Suisse defines membership in the top 10% as having $93,170 or more in net assets, while the top 1% has $871,320.
So, this has what to do with ‘climate change’? It’s a tenuous link being manufactured, and simply exposes that this is all about far left political beliefs. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yet another part of the Obama legacy that will end up in the garbage can, where it belongs
Feds Draft Plan to Discard Obama’s Transgender Ideology
President Donald Trump’s Justice Department will soon decide if agencies must follow biology when they document the legal sex of American women and girls, men and boys, according to a document leaked to the New York Times.
The policy would protect Americans’ civil rights from the transgender ideology which insists that everyone has an FBI-enforced federal right to switch their legal sex — regardless of their biology — when entering sports competitions, K-12 bathrooms, hospitals, gym showers, the military, or single-sex civic society groups.
This transgender ideology was promoted in 2016 by former President Barack Obama and is being imposed by many federal and state judges, despite visceral public opposition and scientists’ criticism.
The New York Times reported:
Now the Department of Health and Human Services is spearheading an effort to establish a legal definition of sex under Title IX, the federal civil rights law that bans gender discrimination in education programs that receive government financial assistance, according to a memo obtained by The New York Times.
The department argued in its memo that key government agencies needed to adopt an explicit and uniform definition of gender as determined “on a biological basis that is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable.†The agency’s proposed definition would define sex as either male or female, unchangeable, and determined by the genitals that a person is born with, according to a draft reviewed by The Times. Any dispute about one’s sex would have to be clarified using genetic testing.
While the gender confused certainly deserve rights, they are the same rights as everyone else. Their rights should not be placed above everyone else’s, and should not have the ability to do things like invade the privacy of the bathrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms of actual women. The federal government, and state governments, should not be incentivizing nor condoning mental illness.
People who wish to live as members of the opposite sex are protesting via the Twitter hashtag, #WontBeErased. However, the proposal does not suggest agencies should stop people who are trying to live as members of the opposite sex but should simply defer to biology when documenting peoples’ sex.
Well, of course they are. Over at the NY Times there’s an op-ed by Jennifer Finney Boylan
Trump Cannot Define Away My Existence
The administration seems to think transgender people like me are as imaginary as hippogriffs.
Well, yes, because identifying as the opposite sex is rather insane.
On Sunday, news broke that the Trump administration seeks to narrowly define gender as an immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth. About 1.4 million Americans who identify as transgender would find that identity eradicated by the federal government.
They can identify all they want. That doesn’t mean that the other 300+ million Americans should be forced to be involved with the trans mental issues. Not at the force of government.

A Monday morning funny for you. It’s an Associated Press article that is being repeated ad nauseum all over the news media, including places that have little to do with a Senator from Massachusetts.
Warren took DNA test to help rebuild “trust in governmentâ€
Democratic U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Sunday that she changed her mind recently and took a DNA test proving her heritage because Americans’ trust in government is “at an all-time low” and she wanted to help rebuild it by being transparent.
The incumbent Massachusetts senator spoke at her second debate against Republican state Rep. Geoff Diehl in the U.S. Senate race.
She was asked by a moderator why she had said, in March, that no DNA test was needed to prove she had some Native American heritage. She said she ultimately took the test, reporting the result last week that showed a relative six to 10 generations ago was Native American.
Ultimately, she said, she took a DNA test because she believes one way to rebuild trust in government is by posting her full family history online “so anybody can take a look. … I believe one way that we try to rebuild confidence is through transparency.”
It’s a cute little deflection as she tries to maintain that she’s some sort of Native American, despite only having a 1/1024 link, and they aren’t even sure which Indian tribe she’s linked to, if any. She surely took the test in order to “clap back” at President Trump, and figured that the Compliant Media would provide coverage for her. They didn’t as much as she thought.
If she really wanted to rebuild trust in government, she’d back reducing the size and scope of the federal government, putting the power back in the hands of the states where it belongs, except for those delegated powers, like stopping illegal immigration.
Diehl shot back that the issue “is not about Sen. Warren’s ancestry, it’s about integrity in my mind, and I don’t care whether you think you benefited or not from that claim, it’s the fact that you tried to benefit from that claim that I think bothers a lot of people and it’s something you haven’t been able to put to rest since the 2012 campaign,” when she first mentioned having Native American heritage that led President Donald Trump to start mocking her by calling her “Pocahontas.”
He added, “I don’t care what percentage she claims to be Native American; I just care that I’m 100 percent for Massachusetts and will be working for the people of this state.”
Sadly, this is Massachusetts, so, he’s still going to lose to her.
