Democrats Doing All They Can To Own Being Anti-Semites

Again, criticism of Israel doesn’t make someone a Jew hater. But, when that’s all you have, when you can’t even condemn radical Islam, and cannot denounce Jew hatred, what you’re left with is hatred of Jews. When you have to defend the indefensible, well, here we go

Dem Whip: Omar’s Experience More Powerful Than Holocaust Survivors

House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) claimed the media was treating Rep. Ilhan Omar(D-MN) badly for making several anti semitic comments. Clyburn defended Omar in an interview with The Hill this week. In fact, Clyburn said that Omar’s experience as a refugee was more empirical to the experiences of holocaust survivors.

“I’m serious about that. There are people who tell me, ‘Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors.’ ‘My parents did this.’ It’s more personal with her,” Clyburn told The Hill. “I’ve talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.”

Heck, if even newly converted Leftist nutjob S.E. Cupp can see it

As Seth Mandel notes, this is like telling Holocaust survivors to “check their privilege.”

The Dems are apparently “tweeking” their condemnation of pretty much everything to now include Latinos specifically, to go with a resolution “released earlier today mentioned several groups including African Americans, Native Americans, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, immigrants.”

They seriously can’t just condemn anti-Semitism without going full on identity politics. If the GOP is not ready to run ads in 2020 highlighting the Democrats as the party of Jew hatred, then they deserve to lose. You can bet one thing: Team Trump will be ready on this.

Democrats With Anti-Semitism Problem To Condemn “All Hate” As Deflection

I wonder if it will include all the hate towards Christianity, as well as the constant assaults by Democrat voters on Republicans?

Report: Democrats to Condemn ‘All Hate,’ Not Anti-Semitism Specifically, in Resolution

According to a report, House Democrats will not condemn anti-Semitism specifically following the controversy over Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), but will instead condemn “all hate” in general.

Last month, Ilhan Omar created fresh controversy by making an anti-Semitic comment implying that pro-Israel Americans had an “allegiance to a foreign country.”

Omar suggested earlier in February that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) was bribing politicians into supporting Israel and as a result was widely criticized as anti-Semitic.

However, Democrats reportedly do not see the need to pass a resolution condemning anti-Semitism specifically.

The Daily Beast reports:

House Democrats spent Wednesday scrambling to put to bed a debate about anti-Semitism that no one wants after advancing a symbolic resolution condemning it that pleased no one.

The resolution, as it was initially conceived in the hours after Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) made a second round of anti-Israel comments last week, would condemn anti-Semitism—a second public rebuke of the freshman lawmaker who has been in office less than 60 days.

But by midweek, faced with a backlash inside the Democratic Caucus, leaders appeared to change course, asking the House Foreign Affairs Committee to draft a resolution that rebuked “all hate.”

Unsurprisingly, a whole host of Democrats are attempting to now defenddefend Jew/Israel hater Omar from criticism, from Bernie Sanders to Liz Warren to Dem activists and opinion writers.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) wrote in a statement obtained by HuffPost that continued attention directed at Omar, one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress, puts her at risk of possible violence.

“We all have a responsibility to speak out against anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, racism, and all forms of hatred and bigotry,” Harris said in a statement.

But, they aren’t speaking out against anti-Semitism specifically from one of their members. It’s been specifically rampant among young Democrats, especially on college campuses, and, be honest, it is rampant throughout Muslim communities such as Omar’s. The hatred of Israel in the Democratic Party has morphed into hatred of Jews.

Bummer: Democrats Vote Against Provision In Green New Deal

It’s strange that so many Democrats who say they support the Green New Deal do not actually want to vote in support of the GND. It’s almost like the GND was just meant to say “look, we’re doing something” by releasing it but knowing that it would be a complete disaster

DEMOCRATS, INCLUDING OCASIO-CORTEZ, VOTE AGAINST GREEN NEW DEAL AMENDMENT

Democrats on the House Committee on Financial Services voted unanimously against an amendment introduced by a GOP lawmaker to spark debate about a key demand of the Green New Deal.

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Sean Duffy, the committee’s ranking Republican, introduced the amendment to the committee Democrats’ budget resolution, though he said in a hearing Wednesday he did not plan on voting for it.

Duffy’s intention, instead, was to use the amendment to debate a key demand of the Green New Deal, which was introduced by New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in February. That bill, which is backed by some Democratic 2020 presidential candidates, included a call to retrofit every building to maximize energy efficiency.

Duffy’s amendment would have changed the wording of one line of a financial services committee budget and views resolution to be in line with the Green New Deal’s call for “maximum energy efficiency” and “zero-emissions.”

The amendment said the budget should furnish funds “to provide all people with affordable, safe, and adequate housing that has been newly built or retroactively upgraded to achieve maximum energy efficiency, water efficiency, safety, affordability, comfort, and durability, using only clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources.”

This was basically a way for Duffy to make Democrats put up or shut up. He argued with Excitable Maxine Waters, a GND co-sponsor, chairperson of the committee, including

“[W]e are dealing with a very real homeless crisis in this country, and this amendment is not taking it serious,” Waters responded before asking her Democratic colleagues to vote “no” on Duffy’s amendment.

“Is the gentle-lady chairwoman saying that the Green New Deal is not serious?” Duffy shot back. Waters said “you are not serious” before reclaiming her time.

Of course she is. None of the Democrats really want to debate it, nor do they actually want to pass it or any part of it, especially with a presidential election next year.

Say, wouldn’t this make them all “climate delayers”, including AOC, according to AOC?

New York Looks To Pass Another Gun Control Law, Requiring Firearms To Be Locked Up If Someone Under 16 Is Present

Once again, it’s all about making things more difficult for law abiding citizens to use a firearm for defense, under the guise of “protecting the kids”

Even stricter gun control could be coming to New York

New York gun owners could soon be required to lock up their guns whenever someone younger than 16 is home.

A bill passed the New York legislature on March 4th. It makes it a misdemeanor to not put your firearms in a gun safe or put a physical lock on it.

Gun control advocates believe this will curb serious at-home accidents involving children.

“Why would you leave a gun accessible to a child under a mattress or under your pillow or in a drawer when your not home,” Paul McQuillen, the Upstate coordinator of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, said.

The number of gun owners that do that is very small. The law itself requires that all firearms need to be locked up when not on the gun owners person.

However, second amendment advocates think this isn’t an effective bill.

“This is a feel good piece of legislation with no real mechanism of enforcement,” Steve Felano, a gun rights advocate, said.

Enforcing this bill would require police to have reasonable cause to believe gun owners aren’t properly securing their weapons when children are home.

Plus, some say this could make it harder to protect oneself during an emergency.

“You won’t be able to get your firearm out in time from storage should someone break into your home,” Felano said.

Once again, it’s all about inconveniencing law abiding citizens, while refusing to crack down on those who possess firearms, and use them, in an illegal manner.

Feds Reveal Massive Operation That Saw Illegals Getting Fake Documents

Remember, illegal immigration is not supposed to cause problems for U.S. citizens, and they aren’t really engaged in crime

Feds: Forgery operation produced over 10,000 fake documents

Located in an apartment in a primarily Hispanic town in Oregon, a clandestine lab churned out thousands of fake Social Security cards, drivers’ licenses and immigration documents that were sold around the United States for years.

The operation, revealed for the first time Tuesday in a federal court document, showed that a syndicate based in Oaxaca, Mexico, operated the forged-document factory in Woodburn, a town of 24,000 in an agricultural region a half-hour’s drive from Portland.

Employers, including farms, nurseries and wineries, routinely employ people who are in the United States illegally but who can produce a Social Security card or work visa. Many agricultural employers say it’s not their responsibility — and that they lack the expertise — to determine if the documents are genuine.

The arrest on Sept. 21, 2017, of Miguel Merecias-Lopez in a fast-food restaurant parking lot in Woodburn reveals how, in many cases, such documents are produced. Merecias-Lopez pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Portland to conspiracy to produce false identification documents and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He had gone to the parking lot to sell more than a kilogram (2.2 pounds) of meth, prosecutors said.

By “fake social security cars”, they mean ones linked to actual citizens, otherwise they wouldn’t pass any sort of backgrounds check, nor pass through to the IRS nor state departments of revenue. This is called “identity theft”, and can cause immense problems for the true owner of the SS#.

“The fraud ring operated in Woodburn for more than a decade and produced over 10,000 fraudulent documents that they distributed in Woodburn or mailed to customers around the United States,” U.S. Attorney Billy Williams and Assistant U.S. Attorney Peter Sax said in the plea agreement posted Tuesday in court documents. Previous detailed court documents remain under seal.

The Fraud Doc Ring produced a wide array of documents, including drivers’ licenses for over 25 different states, Social Security cards, lawful permanent resident cards, U.S. and Mexican birth certificates and marriage licenses.

Just keep pretending illegal immigration is a victimless minor crime, Democrats. Right up till it’s your life getting ruined.

It’s Time For A ‘Climate Change’ Lent Or Something

Yet another day in which the Cult of Climastrology attempts to hijack something, in this case a religious holiday, interjecting their cultish beliefs on other people

It’s time for a Green Lent

Imagine a second global flood, occurring tomorrow. A modern Noah, having spent weeks aimlessly drifting across the world’s oceans, releases a dove in search of land.

To his surprise, the animal returns within two minutes and has found something. It is carrying a slightly faded, but otherwise completely intact, soaking wet Tesco shopping bag. On its side, Noah reads: “Use me again!”

You’ll know where this is going: the planet is drowning and humanity is to blame. We all got the message. Or did we? Many churchgoers have yet to engage with the topic of climate change on a level that goes beyond abandoning single-use plastics and separating trash.

Some believed that Pope Francis’s remarkably green encyclical Laudato Si’ would mark the beginning of an increased Catholic engagement with ecological questions, both at the institutional and at the grassroots level.

The same people pushing this also think murdering the unborn is super cool.

It is time for some major changes. Christians have thought about life on a damaged planet for centuries. We are therefore well-equipped to start reading the Bible in an ecological context.

When we start to do so, old texts take on new meanings. Returning to Genesis 1, we might ask: what does it really mean to “fill the Earth and subdue it”, and to “have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the Earth”?

Can we come to practise good stewardship in a world teetering on the edge? Other passages, too, can be read through a green lens. For instance, what is the meaning of “love thy neighbour” when applied to non-human beings?

Good stewardship has nothing to do with warming that is mostly caused by nature, as it has always been.

We stand at the threshold of Lent, a time for reflection and spiritual reorientation. Perhaps this year we should look down, rather than up, and think about the state of our God-given home. Whether we want it or not, our feet are getting wet. What are we going to do about it?

38% Of Millennials Worried About Having Kids In The Era Of Hotcoldwetdry

People have always had kids during times of climate change, because the climate has always been doing something. Throughout the Holocene there have been warm and cool periods, and still humanity persisted in having children. But, now, you have youths of breeding age having a collective freakout over (well, everything) a tiny increase in the global temperature, thanks to being taught this in school

More than a third of millennials share Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s worry about having kids while the threat of climate change looms

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made headlines last week when she suggested that some young Americans are concerned about having children because of the threat that climate change could pose to future generations.

“Our planet is going to hit disaster if we don’t turn this ship around … there’s scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Instagram Live. “And even if you don’t have kids, there are still children here in the world, and we have a moral obligation to leave a better world for them.”

The 29-year-old New York progressive went on to say young people are grappling with the question: “Is it OK to still have children?”

The comment garnered significant media attention and blowback from pundits, who said the remark amounted to Ocasio-Cortez advocating for a ban on children.

I agree with AOC that Believers in man-caused global warming/climate change should stop having kids. That way, most of this fuzzyheaded, un-scientific idiocy will go away as they won’t be teaching children about this stupidity.

An INSIDER poll conducted on SurveyMonkey Audience found that nearly 30% of Americans either strongly agree, agree, or somewhat agree that a couple should consider the negative and potentially life-threatening effects of climate change when deciding whether or not to have children. Just more than 8% of Americans strongly agreed that climate change should be a consideration.

Just more than 40% of Americans said they either somewhat disagree, disagree, or strongly disagree that climate change should play a role in the decision to have children. About 18% of Americans strongly disagreed that the future impacts of climate change should be considered by would-be parents.

Nearly 38% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 agreed that climate change should be a factor in a couple’s decision about whether to have children. And 34% of Americans between the ages of 30 and 44 agreed.

Agreement was also linked to the belief that climate change is man-made: 38% of respondents who said “the earth is getting warmer mostly because of human activity such as burning fossil fuels” said couples should factor in the effect of that warming on their children before having them. Meanwhile, 33% disagreed, and another third were neutral or didn’t know.

Older Americans were not so keen on this idea, with the percentages going down. Thankfully, it’s just 38% of Millennials who are climate change idiots.

NY Times: There’s No National Emergency At Border, It’s Just At A “Breaking Point”

The NY Times, like most in the Credentialed Media, has a had a freakout over Trump declaring a national emergency at the border that continues on and on, in which they state there is no national emergency. Like in this piece by the Editorial Board (featuring confirmed racist Sarah Jeong), in which they attempt to say “Hey, it’s not just Trump, but the whole law”, despite having zero problems during Obama’s reign, when he invoked 12 of them, 10 still in effect

Fix America’s National Emergencies Law. And Not Just Because of Trump.

Last month, after losing a funding battle with Congress over his desire for a border wall, President Trump made his declaration, insisting that a “national security crisis on our southern border” precipitated his action. The Senate has mustered enough support to pass a joint resolution, introduced and approved in the House last month, calling for the immediate termination of a national emergency that represented an unprecedented end run around Congress’s power of the purse. (big snip)

For one thing, the National Emergencies Act doesn’t define what an emergency is — a loophole that Mr. Trump took advantage of by declaring that there’s a crisis at the border, contrary to all evidence. Congress could set clearer parameters, allowing a president to declare emergencies only when threats to the national interest are imminent and based on observable facts.

Also the NY Times on the front page, where, quite frankly, you really do not need to go further than the headline

Border at ‘Breaking Point’ as More than 76,000 Migrants Cross in a Month

The number of migrant families crossing the southwest border has once again broken records, with unauthorized entries nearly doubling what they were a year ago, suggesting that the Trump administration’s aggressive policies have not discouraged new migration to the United States.

More than 76,000 migrants crossed the border without authorization in February, an 11-year high and a strong sign that stepped-up prosecutions, new controls on asylum and harsher detention policies have not reversed what remains a powerful lure for thousands of families fleeing violence and poverty.

“The system is well beyond capacity, and remains at the breaking point,” Kevin K. McAleenan, commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, told reporters in announcing the new data on Tuesday.

The nation’s top border enforcement officer painted a picture of processing centers filled to capacity, border agents struggling to meet medical needs and thousands of exhausted members of migrant families crammed into a detention system that was not built to house them — all while newcomers continue to arrive, sometimes by the busload, at the rate of 2,200 a day.

“This is clearly both a border security and a humanitarian crisis,” Mr. McAleenan said.

So…….there is actually an emergency at the border? It’s not helpful that Democrats keep inviting people to just come and show up at the border to claim asylum, as well as doing all they can to protect those who crossed the border illegally/overstayed their visas. Liberal forces are actively working to create these caravans in an attempt to overload the immigration system.

But, hey, of course they have to try and downplay the wall

President Trump has used the escalating numbers to justify his plan to build an expanded wall along the 1,900-mile border with Mexico. But a wall would do little to slow migration, most immigration analysts say. While the exact numbers are not known, many of those apprehended along the southern border, including the thousands who present themselves at legal ports of entry, surrender voluntarily to Border Patrol agents and eventually submit legal asylum claims.

Except, it’s mentioned above that they are mostly crossing in an “unauthorized” fashion, which means sneaking across the border. We know they are doing this because many areas of the border have the type of “security” Democrats want all over, things like cameras and drones, where we get to watch them cross and be in no position to stop them all.

Understanding what is happening on the border is difficult because, while the numbers are currently higher than they have been in several years, they are nowhere near the historic levels of migration seen across the southwest border. Arrests for illegally crossing the border reached up to 1.64 million in 2000, under President Clinton. In the 2018 fiscal year, they reached 396,579. For the first five months of the current fiscal year, 268,044 have been apprehended.

The difference is that the nature of immigration has changed, and the demographics of those arriving now are proving more taxing for border officials to accommodate. Most of those entering the country in earlier years were single men, most of them from Mexico, coming to look for work. If they were arrested, they could quickly be deported.

Overall, sounds like it’s becoming a crisis at the border, dare I say, a national emergency.
