Judge dismisses young climate activists’ lawsuit challenging Trump on fossil fuels

A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit from young climate activists seeking to block President Donald Trump’s executive orders promoting fossil fuels and discouraging renewable energy.

The activists said the orders would worsen global warming, threatening their lives and violating their constitutional rights.

Attorneys for the U.S. Department of Justice and more than a dozen states had urged Judge Dana Christensen to dismiss the case.

The plaintiffs included youths who were victorious in a landmark climate trial against the state of Montana. Christensen said in a 31-page order that the plaintiffs had shown “overwhelming evidence” that climate change was affecting them and will worsen as a result of Trump’s orders.

If it’s affecting them, why are they using so much energy and not making their lives carbon neutral/Net Zero? That is a question that should be asked of all the kiddies and the big money groups propping them up.

But the judge said their request to block Trump’s orders was an “unworkable request” that would have required scrutiny of every climate related action taken since the Republican came into office. Christensen said that instead of the courts, the plaintiffs must make their case “to the political branches or the electorate.”

Legal experts had said the young activists and their lawyers from the environmental group Our Children’s Trust faced long odds. The Montana state constitution declares that people have a “right to a clean and healthful environment.” That language is absent from the U.S. Constitution.

CO2 is not a pollutant, and the Earth’s climate goes through warm and cool periods.

A previous federal climate lawsuit in Oregon from Our Children’s Trust went on for a decade before the U.S. Supreme Court declined to consider their final appeal this year.

Christensen cited that case in concluding that the plaintiffs in Montana lacked standing to sue the government. That is because they failed to demonstrate their request for judicial intervention was likely to fix their injuries through actions that are within the court’s power, the judge wrote.

Wow, a federal judge who doesn’t want to make law. That’s a aberration these days.

Mamdani Says Pro-Israel Democrats Aren’t Welcome in His Coalition

Socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani said there is no room for pro-Israel voters within his coalition, arguing that fellow Democrats should not make “an exception” for people who are “progressive except Palestine.”

The Democratic nominee said his long history of anti-Israel activism—which includes founding the Bowdoin College chapter of the extremist and terror-aligned Students for Justice in Palestine organization—informs his belief that pro-Israel liberals should be driven out of the left.

“That exception is one that I believe we should not only take issue with because of what it means for Palestinians and Palestinian human rights,” he told the New York Times in an interview published Tuesday. “But also, whenever you are at peace with the making of an exception, you make it easier to make another exception—wherever, whenever.”

I really wish they would stop calling him a socialist, or communist. That is all a cover for his Islamic extremist beliefs. You know how we call Warmists watermelons, ie, green on the outside, red on the inside, as established by James Delingpole? Mamdani is a non-ripe red apple, red on the outside, green on the inside. Green being the favorite color of Islam. NYC will soon get the London treatment, on its way to being an Islamic caliphate.

That’s one hell of a non-answer. What he believes is that members of Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, etc, should be affordable for all.

PRC Passes Law Banning Glocks, Lots Of Pistols

Gov. Gavin Newsom signs law banning Glock pistols in California

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed a law banning sales of one of the most popular types of handgun in the United States.

Assembly Bill 1127, authored by state Assembly Members Jesse Gabriel, D-Encino, and Catherine Stefani, D-San Francisco, were signed by the governor on Oct. 10.

The law bans new sales of “semi-automatic handguns that can be easily converted to a fully automatic machine gun with the use of a simple ‘switch,'” according to a statement from Gabriel’s office.

It covers handguns manufactured by Glock, as well as similarly designed pistols, that use a “cruciform trigger bar,” which lawmakers said makes them easily convertible to fully automatic fire.

The law, which takes effect Jan. 1, bars firearms dealers from selling Glock-style handguns.

There are a few others that use the cruciform trigger bar, but, primarily Glock, and their most popular models. A couple Smith And Wessons, some off brands. This is really more about Glock Derangement Syndrome. Does the People’s Republik Of California has stats on how many Glocks have actually been converted to automatic fire? Have there been any deaths or shootings attributed to a converted Glock? If the PRC is so concerned why not ban alcohol, which contributes to way more deaths. Let’s also not forget that back in 2018 California lawmakers made it easier for judges to remove gun enhancement charges in the interest of “social justice.”

Let’s also not forget that anyone who knows anything about firearms knows that pistols (indeed most weapons) are far deadlier on semi than full auto. Pistols in particular lose almost all accuracy when fired on full auto, not to mention ploughing through ammo. Automatic handguns may be popular in movies and TV, but, in Real Life, people who know guns shoot with two hands for control on semi-auto, and higher caliber needs control when pulling the trigger again and again. Auto would be a spray and pray, worse than a rifle.

Anyway, obviously law enforcement can still purchase, but, who’s going to be selling in the PRC after Jan 1? Glock cannot legally sell to PRC law enforcement, since it must go by law through a licensed dealer. Same if a LEO wants to go, say, to Nevada to purchase. What you can expect is for the sale of Glocks to skyrocket thru December 31. And then the PRC to manufacture a way to ban other semi-auto handguns.

Second Amendment proponents said they planned to challenge AB 1127 in court.

“Governor Newsom has once again proven that California’s political class will stop at nothing to attack peaceable people and their rights,” according to a statement issued by the Firearms Policy Coalition. “AB 1127 is an unconstitutional, bad-faith attempt to outlaw some of the most common firearms in the United States.”

“But no tyrant, no politician, and no state will ever be allowed to extinguish the rights of a free people. Not now. Not ever,” the statement said.

In fact, the NRA and other gun rights groups sued the minute Gavin signed the bill.

Trump To Hamas: Disarm, Or We Will Disarm You

Trump: Hamas must disarm or we will disarm them ‘perhaps violently’

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Hamas must disarm or the terrorist group will be disarmed.

“If they don’t disarm, we will disarm them. And it will happen quickly and perhaps violently,” Trump said later during a meeting at the White House with Argentine President Javier Milei.

Trump stated earlier that “the job IS NOT DONE” after Hamas violated the 72-hour deadline set for the return of all hostages, living and dead, from captivity in Gaza in a social media post.

“Phase Two begins right NOW!!!” Trump stated, referring to the next phase in implementing his Gaza peace plan.

An Israeli diplomat told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday that while phase one included the return of all hostages, phase two generally aims to demilitarize Gaza and preliminarily establish a temporary Palestinian government.

If they think he’s bluffing, they’d be incorrect. Maybe he’ll just start arming those opposed to Hamas, meaning Hamas cannot just execute their rivals

Hamas must disarm or ‘all hell breaks loose,’ Netanyahu tells CBS

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the demands from him and US President Donald Trump are “very clear” that Hamas must disarm and demilitarize or “all hell breaks loose,” in a Tuesday interview with CBS Mornings co-host Tony Dokoupil.

“We agreed to give peace a chance,” he said, commenting that now that the 20 remaining living hostages have been returned, disarmament and demilitarization must come next.

“First, Hamas has to give up its arms, and second, you want to make sure that there are no weapons factories inside Gaza. There’s no smuggling of weapons into Gaza. That’s demilitarization,” the prime minister said.

Hamas wants to think carefully about their next moves. Iran, their sponsor, has been isolated from the other Middle East nations, who now care more about trade and economics and making money.

Trump Admin Says No To Global Shipping Carbon (scam) Tax

U.S. threatens global shipping over new carbon tax

Calling it a “European-led neocolonial export of global climate regulations,” the Trump administration has threatened new measures against nations that vote for mandatory greenhouse gas (GHG) limits on international shipping and establishes a pricing system for emissions.

Shipping nations are gathering this week in London to vote on the Net-Zero Framework developed by the International Maritime Organization.

“President Trump has made it clear that the United States will not accept any international environmental agreement that unduly or unfairly burdens the United States or harms the interests of the American people,” the State Department said in a release. “This will be the first time that a United Nations organization levies a global carbon tax on the world.”

Under the plan, vessel operators will be required to report GHG levels annually; those vessels exceeding emissions limits will pay fees based on their excess emissions, while those using cleaner fuels will receive incentives.

Ocean carriers for years have been pro-active in reducing harmful emissions; the largest ships account for 85% of the sector’s GHG total. About 41% of container ships on order are designed to operate with alternative fuels such as liquefied natural gas or ammonia – more than half the tonnage of container ships on order.

You know who this tax will benefit? China. They’ll continue dumping products at low prices, while Europe and other nations will get swatted down.

JB Pritzker Threatens ICE Agents With Retaliation If Dems Win In 2028

(Breitbart) Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) is suggesting Democrats may attempt to prosecute Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents for enforcing federal immigration law.

During an interview with FOX 32 Chicago this week, Pritzker proposed prosecuting DHS officials and ICE agents for arresting illegal aliens in the sanctuary state of Illinois.

“The tables will turn one day,” Prtizker told reporter Paris Schutz:

These people should recognize that maybe they’re not gonna get prosecuted today, although we’re looking at doing that, but they may get prosecuted after the Trump administration because the statute of limitations would not have run out. [Emphasis added]

Pritzker said he was in talks with Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul (D) and other attorneys regarding a potential criminal investigation into DHS officials and ICE agents.

First off, the federal government has primacy on immigration matters. The duly elected Legislative Branch has passed the laws that ICE, DHS, etc, enforce. They cannot be prosecuted for enforcing the laws as written, regardless of what Pritzker says. Nor can they be prosecuted by state courts. Perhaps JB should be familiar with

Surprise: Green LA Firm Crashes Over Fraud Claims

Why does it seem that most involved in pushing “green” is just some sort of shady scheme?

Drake, DiCaprio, the Clippers backed this ‘green’ L.A. firm. It crumbled amid fraud claims

Aspiration Partners made a splash when it entered the green investing space in 2013.

The Marina del Rey firm billed itself as a socially conscious online banking company, offering investments and focusing its finances on the climate crisis. It also generated and sold carbon credits meant to help offset greenhouse gas emissions.

Soon, it collected celebrity investors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Robert Downey Jr., and Steve Ballmer, the former Microsoft chief executive, philanthropist and owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.

But 12 years later, things have turned sour.

Earlier this year, the co-founder and another top company official agreed to plead guilty to wire fraud charges and scheming to bilk investors using falsified documents. Aspiration went bankrupt.

It’s fast, easy money taking advantage of people who want to show the cult flag, even though few of them practice what they preach.

It came at a moment of rising concern about climate change, and Aspiration seemed to capitalize. Sizable deals rolled in, including a $315-million pact with Oaktree Capital Management and Ballmer.

The firm even partnered with rapper Drake in 2021, using its reforestation program to offset the artist’s estimated climate impact. The company at the time claimed its business partners and customers had funded the planting of 15 million trees over the course of a year.

This really isn’t surprising at all. It’s all a scam. And the rest of the LA Times piece describes in detail all the shady dealings, but, fails to note that “green” is shady.

New Liberal Talking Point: Trump Forgot To Mention Palestinians In Peace Deal

Democrats will do anything to not want to give Trump credit for the peace deal, and anything to take the side of the murderous Palestinians, so, here’s the wackadoodle Washington Post leading the charge

Trump, hailing a ‘new Middle East,’ avoids the hard questions ahead

A ceasefire in the two-year Israel-Gaza war, the release of remaining Israeli hostages, and the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza were welcome first steps in addressing the long-running conflict in the Middle East. Whether they will mark what President Donald Trump on Monday called the “historic dawn of a new Middle East” is another matter entirely.

During a whirlwind, 11-hour victory lap in Israel and Egypt, Trump was rightfully congratulated for spearheading the deal that brought both Hamas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to heel.

But in speeches, Trump sidestepped any mention of the seismic chasms that remain in the region — including the West Bank, where about 3 million Palestinians live in an ever-smaller space under increasingly militarized Israeli occupation and threatened annexation.

He predicted the rapid expansion of the Abraham Accords, his first-term achievement of normalization between Israel and a handful of Arab states, but ignored the insistence of much of the rest of the Arab world that the path to a viable, sovereign state combining the West Bank and Gaza under the Palestinian Authority must come first.

Would this be the same Arab world which refuses to take the Palestinians into their own countries, because of all the trouble Palestinians have caused in the past (there’s also another reason)? Because the Palestinians are backed by Iran and work with, protect, and support Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist groups?

“Any end to the war in Gaza is good, and I don’t want to belittle it,” said Marwan Muasher, former deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Jordan. But “it’s the dawn of a new Middle East if the occupation ends.” Trump, he said, “didn’t really mention the Palestinians at all.”

“Every president before him, while predominantly catering to Israel’s needs, has still found some room to talk about Palestinian aspirations. None, in this case. None,” Muasher said.

Hamas lost, and the Palestinians who back them lost. Without Trump Israel would still be demolishing Gaza. If Palestinians want to be considered then perhaps they should act like they deserve it, rather than working to destroy Israel and kill Jews. They don’t have to like Israel and Jews, but, they have to live with them, because Palestinians cannot win. Stop the violence, stop the attacks, and just live your lives and there won’t be problems.

An international stabilization force is envisioned to provide security in Gaza until it can gradually be turned over to a vetted and trained Palestinian force. But while the United States has announced a 200-member U.S. contingent to supervise the ceasefire from a base in Israel, no country has publicly said it would participate in the stabilization force and there is no evidence it is being assembled.

See, the other part is that Democrats want to shit on the plan because the details have not been hammered out in full detail as of yet, despite the peace plan being less than a few weeks old, and literally just signed. They didn’t seem to have this same concern when the 1,800 page Obamacare was signed and there were few details, which took years to work out, eh? This whining about the full details continues on for many more paragraphs. The main thrust, though, is that we should think of the murderous Palestinians

‘Change what you teach your kids,’ Condoleezza Rice advises Palestinians looking for a state

Palestinians will need to change the way they educate their children, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on CBS 24/7 on Saturday alongside former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Without sweeping changes in mentality, there can be no path to true self-governance for Gaza, Rice noted.

In an interview, the two former Secretaries of State praised the new Gaza deal and discussed what needed to change going forward in the region.

“Change the lessons that you teach your kids about the state of Israel,” Rice advised Palestinians looking towards the possibility of a potential Palestinian state. “Don’t create another generation of Palestinians who believe that somehow the resistance is the way to peace and security.”

Interestingly, the Palestinian kids were learning this in lots of the UN sponsored schools. They need to learn to live with Israel, just like most of the other Middle Eastern nations. They cannot win against Israel. But, they can live good lives if they just stop.
