Some In Congress Upset IRS Will Charge Spain’s World Cup Winning Team Millions

They’re seriously upset over the IRS enforcing law that Congress has passed

IRS in the hot seat over potential cash grab from Spain’s World Cup winnings: ‘It’s a rip-off’

As reigning 2026 FIFA World Cup champions, Spain won $50 million in prize money, but a large portion of that could be subject to federal taxes in the United States — potentially up to 30%.

“I think it’s a rip-off,” Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., told Fox News Digital.

“I’m not a fan of it, but Americans have to do it. American professional athletes do it, so they knew that when they came over here.”

Income earned from activities performed in America is generally, in almost all instances, taxable by the IRS. Under tax law in the U.S., certain payments to nonresident foreign athletes are generally subject to a 30% federal withholding unless reduced by a tax treaty or a different exception.

“It’s wrong, and that kind of highlights something bigger,” Rep. Jonathan Jackson, D-Ill., said about the potential high tax rate on Spain’s prize.

Why is it wrong? American sports teams pay all that tax when they get paid for winning big games. Also when for things like college bowl games. Competing in golf tournaments. And so forth

Burchett argued the potential tax burden sends the wrong message as the U.S. prepares to host more major international sporting events, saying the country should be encouraging foreign athletes and visitors to spend money domestically rather than subjecting them to steep tax obligations.

Well, pretty much every other nation taxes the winners, as well.

Jackson (D) also criticized the broader U.S. tax code, arguing that corporations should be paying more in taxes rather than workers. He referred to it as a “classic example of what’s wrong with our taxation system.”

“They should be paying the taxes as opposed to having tax loopholes,” Jackson said. “The people, the laborers that are working, they should not have to pay 30% of their income on taxes.”

That has whatfuckall to do with soccer teams being taxed under US code as passed by Congress? He does know he can introduce legislation, right? But, hey, let’s follow what Jackson is saying and reduce the federal tax burden for the the middle and working class down to 7%, leave corporate taxes exactly where they are, because, as most know, federal taxes just get passed on to consumers. Say, I wonder if Jackson and his brother paid full taxation when they owned River North Sales and Service, LLC in Chicago, an Anheuser-Busch distributor, or take advantage of “loopholes” in the tax code? Did they pay their workers a livable wage?

I know it’s just three members of Congress (Rep. Burgess Owens, R-Utah is also mentioned), but, they can all submit legislation if they do not like this. They can all try and reform the tax code.

Credentialed Media Upset Trump Blames Canada For Wildfires And Not Climate Doom

I’ll admit, there was no need to really blame Canada in this manner, but, hey, they’re unhinged eco-wacko/climate cultist forest management policies were stupid, just like with California

Trump blames Canada for wildfires, but scientists point to climate change

President Trump and other Republicans are blaming Canada for wildfires whose smoke has choked parts of the U.S. in recent days. Experts from both countries told The Hill that climate change is the real culprit.

Experts, people, Expert!

“We are holding Canada responsible for the fact that they are not properly maintaining their Forests, and Brush therein, and the United States is being unnecessarily invaded by filthy, polluted, and unhealthy air, the quality of which is dangerous, and totally unacceptable!” Trump wrote on social media last week.

“This is Willful Negligence, and becoming a yearly occurrence, costing the United States Billions of Dollars, which cost of this pollution must of necessity be added to the TARIFFS Canada is currently paying,” he added.

On Sunday, the president again floated tariffs over the fires, saying, “If we can help them, we’ll help them. But maybe they should pay us some damages or something, or we should do some tariffs.”

Yeah, that’s the part that’s unnecessary

Meanwhile, wildfire experts from both sides of the border said this week that Canada’s forest management practices are not to blame, and that in reality, climate change is driving conditions that make wildfires more frequent and intense.

Experts described many of the fires as being in a remote, difficult-to-access part of Canada, meaning they go unmanaged but added that’s not abnormal. (snip)

“It’s very natural for these forests to go through fire cycles … these forests periodically do burn, but the burning and the fires today are much more severe because these super-annual variations in dryness are much more amplified because of changes in climate,” he added.

It’s always something with these nuts.

Appeals Court Overturns Wacko Judge’s Release Of Mohsen Mahdawi

It’s always great when liberal judges like to protect foreigners who hate the US and Jews even when they have no legal standing to do so

Appeals court overturns release order for foreign student arrested in Vermont

A federal appeals court on Tuesday ruled a judge erred in ordering the release of Mohsen Mahdawi, whose arrest at his naturalization interview became a flash point in the Trump administration’s crackdown on foreign students.

Last year, the district judge found the administration was likely targeting Mahdawi, a Palestinian green-card holder and Columbia University student, for his protected speech about the Israel-Hamas war.

In its Tuesday decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit ruled that federal law barred the courts from getting involved so soon.

“We conclude that the district court should not have reached this question,” U.S. Circuit Judge Debra Ann Livingston wrote for the panel.

It’s a major win for the administration, which has targeted foreign students who’ve criticized Israel and fought back against legal challenges in part by arguing that judges have limited jurisdiction to second-guess the crackdown.

This “student”, who was 35 at the time and seemed to spend all his time protesting in favor of Hamas and demonizing Israel and Jews, was ordered deported by Sec Of State Rubio as a threat to foreign policy. He now has a final order of deportation, and NICE can scoop Mahdawi up and detain him. But, he can still appeal being deportation, which is insane that foreigners can stay in the US for years instead of just being booted.

But Mahdawi’s lawyers at the American Civil Liberties Union warned that without review in the meantime, he won’t have any remedy to stop the government from detaining him.

“Today’s decision is a grave setback, although I am confident justice will ultimately prevail,” Mahdawi said in a statement. “It reflects a dangerous failure under political pressure, one that risks turning the federal courts into instruments of politics rather than guardians of constitutional freedom.”

See, you have crazy people protecting a Hamas supporter, so, he can stick around for years unlike most other illegals.

Climate Cult Cruise Ship Employees Bummed Over Their Customers

This is pretty wild stuff

‘I can’t work in the farce of climate change cruise tourism anymore’: why Antarctic guides quit their dream jobs

“You’d see massive glacier calvings, and you’d just want to cry. But all the guests would be cheering. And you’d be like … ‘can you not put two and two together?’”

Those are the words of a former Antarctic tour guide we interviewed. For anyone interested in nature, few jobs sound more enviable. You spend months among penguins, orcas and glaciers, helping visitors experience one of the world’s most extraordinary and unspoiled places.

But for some guides, like those we quote in this article, that privilege slowly became impossible to reconcile with their beliefs. Watching climate change unfold while helping thousands more visitors reach the continent eventually led them to leave the jobs they’d once dreamed of.

Antarctic tourism is growing fast, with over 120,000 visits in 2025-26 and up to 450,000 expected each summer within a decade. Our new study reveals how Antarctic tour guides grapple with the dilemma at the heart of their work — bringing more and more people to an ecologically vulnerable area, and helping cause some of the greatest CO? emissions of any form of tourism.

The article goes on to quote a bunch more of the cultists who quit their jobs on the Doom! cruise ships, but, you know what they never truly say? That all those ships put out a lot of “carbon pollution”, per the “CO2 emissions” link above. All these rich folks taking long, fossil fueled flights to the place where the cruise ships leave, and the cruises cost anywhere from $6000 to $50000 per person. And the folks who work on the ships are just as complicit. All climahypocrites.

House GOP Looks To Push SAVE Act Through In Way Senate Dems Cannot Stop It

OK?

Johnson’s strategy to bypass Democrats’ SAVE Act blockade survives key vote, handing GOP big win

Speaker Mike Johnson’s latest bid to skirt Democrats’ opposition to an election integrity bill backed by President Donald Trump survived a key hurdle on Monday evening.

The Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act has faced significant headwinds in Congress despite having Trump’s full-throated support. While it passed the House, the legislation has struggled in the Senate where at least several Democratic votes are needed to break a filibuster and advance to final passage.

But the new plan by Johnson, R-La., which would allow key parts of the bill to skirt Democrats entirely, is one step closer to getting a House-wide vote sometime this week.

Republicans would erase the need for any Democratic buy-in by putting key elements of the SAVE America Act into a larger budget reconciliation bill. The reconciliation process allows the party in power to pass sweeping fiscal policy reforms without input from their opposition by lowering the Senate’s threshold for passage to line up with the House’s simple majority requirement.

Because reconciliation bills need to be about things like spending, Johnson will use the bill to fund election integrity matters, military spending, and funding farmers.

But, the problem here is still the Senate, because you have idiots like Thom Tillis and Lisa Murkowski

Presler Criticizes Murkowski’s SAVE Act Excuse: ‘That’s Just Not True’

Conservative activist Scott Presler fired back this week after Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) argued in a Friday op-ed that the SAVE America Act would disenfranchise rural Alaskans and could not be implemented in time for November.

Murkowski made her case in the Wall Street Journal and pushed it out again in a post on X. She told followers she backs voter ID and wants only citizens voting. The bill, she argued, goes too far.

“I support voter ID and believe that only U.S. citizens should vote in our elections,” the Alaska senator wrote. “But the SAVE America Act goes beyond that and provides no time for proper implementation. It would ultimately disenfranchise some Americans in rural communities, so I oppose it.” (snip)

“That’s just not true,” the activist wrote in a reply. “No person would be turned away from voting. Any person without documentation would be able to sign an attestation. The SAVE America Act does NOT require proof of citizenship for those already registered to vote.”

The founder of Early Vote Action challenged Murkowski to draft a fix rather than kill the bill.

“Why don’t you suggest an amendment which would allow remote Alaskan voters to attach a copy of their proof of citizenship + photo ID to an absentee ballot?” Presler wrote.

And therein lies the important point: this is about new people registering, not existing people, as anyone registered would sign said attestation. What it would seriously cause a problem with is registration drives, which Democrats love to use to register anyone and then go back with all sorts of vote gatherings. We should know who the hell is voting in the US and if they are actually allowed to vote.

So, the problem here is there might not be enough votes in the Senate to get it to pass with Murkowski, Tillis, and possible Collins voting against it.

Trump Wants Review Of Wacko Climalawfare Manual

The minute the liberals call something “non-partisant” you know they’re full of BS

Trump demands review of scientific manual used by federal judges

President Donald Trump has called for a review of a longstanding reference manual designed for federal judges handling complex scientific or technological issues, claiming the nonpartisan analytical handbook had been politicized.

Alluding to recent changes to the manual’s section on climate change, the president argued the government-backed handbook was “totally discredited” and claimed it had been used to improperly inform recent rulings on environmental issues.

Writing in a post on his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday evening, Trump said he had ordered “federal suspension and debarment officials” to review the National Academy of Sciences’ “Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence,” a decades-old publication produced in partnership with the Federal Judicial Center and aimed at assisting federal judges on issues of science and technology.

The president claimed the National Academy was “run by Radical Left” Democrats and that the nonprofit organization “published fraudulent, biased and misleading manuals on climate change.”

The latest edition of the judicial reference manual, published late last year, included a chapter on climate science and climate change. The section explained to judges the mechanical processes of climate change — such as the greenhouse effect, feedback loops and ecological tipping points — but also provided context on sources of climate research, including peer-reviewed studies and consensus reports.

In other words, the manual used Cult Of Climastrology dogma which has determined that there is no other cause for a minor uptick in global temperatures than the actions of Mankind, primarily the output of greenhouse gases. Hence, if judges begin from that point than most climalawfare suits will prevail, using the court system to enforce said cultist dogma on Everyone Else.

But in February, the Federal Judicial Center, the government’s education and research agency serving federal courts, said it had removed the climate science chapter from its version of the reference manual. The move came just days after a group of Republican state attorneys general penned a letter to Congress arguing the handbook presented a “highly biased, agenda-driven view” of climate change targeting oil and gas companies.

Because it is highly politicized.

Oh Noes: Senior Living Facility In Distress Because All The Illegal Alien Workers Left

Sniffle?

Senior Living Facility in Distress as Immigrant Caregivers Are Forced Out

Really, the original headline was “How Trump’s Immigration Crackdown Is Hurting Elder Care”. Perhaps that TDS was just a bit much for the NY Times?

Channing House, a senior living community just a mile from Stanford University, is home to pioneering scientists, tech executives and inventors. But during a recent meeting, its residents confronted a problem they felt powerless to fix: the sudden loss of their caregivers to immigration policies.

“Our work force is being drastically disrupted, relationships are being severed and lives are being upended right now,” said Rhonda Bekkedahl, the center’s chief executive, who convened the gathering in June that was attended by about half of the 250 residents of the community in Palo Alto, Calif.

The Trump administration’s immigration crackdown is colliding with a demographic reality. Americans are aging rapidly and living longer, creating soaring demand for elder care when the industry is already buckling under the weight of chronic labor shortages.

Millions of immigrants, eligible to work in the United States, fill positions across the elder care industry such as nurses, dietitians, fitness instructors and maintenance technicians. And countless undocumented immigrants care for seniors in their homes, part of a vast informal economy.

If your work plan is dependent on illegal aliens and temporary visitors, many of them illegals given work permits, well, the people who run the business should be fired, because it is a straight gamble to think that every administration will allow this to continue.

But, the point here is to enrage bleeding hearts, and maybe convert some on the edge. All while forgetting what the Law says.

Unhinged Liberal With “Anti-ICE” Material Attacks Federal Building In NYC

This is all thanks to the elected Democrats, Elites, and their pet news media for demonizing ICE and inciting the peasant Dems to get violent

Suspect named in New York City alleged incendiary device attack, had ‘anti-ICE stuff’ on him

The suspect accused of deploying an incendiary device outside 26 Federal Plaza in New York Monday morning is named Andrew Arrabaca, two law enforcement sources have confirmed to Fox News Digital.

The sources both confirmed that Arrabaca had “anti-ICE stuff on him” at the time of the alleged attack.

The FBI announced that Arrabaca was taken into custody shortly after the incident.

“This morning an individual deployed an incendiary device outside of 26 Federal Plaza in New York. The individual is in custody and two minor injuries reported thus far. FBI [Joint Terrorism Task Force] is investigating the incident,” FBI Director Kash Patel noted in a post on X.

FBI New York field office Assistant Director in Charge James Barnacle Jr. said that Arrabaca had an unidentified liquid on him, and that he “put the liquid down, set some fireworks on top of it,” causing a “little fire.” Initial reports said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were involved in the arrest.

According to Barnacle, the suspect was armed with a pellet gun, and that two people, a federal employee and a civilian, were injured. Both were treated and released.

Crazy, unhinged, and violent is what the Democratic base has become

This is your voter, Democrats. This is someone you basically told to be a wackjob.
