You know, because everyone on death row is a good person:
A man who was sentenced to die, then freed after prosecutors at his murder trial were shown to have hidden exonerating evidence, was charged Wednesday with having sex with a underage girl who is now pregnant, authorities said.
Alan Gell, 31, is charged with 14 counts each of statutory rape and indecent liberties with a minor for allegedly starting a relationship last year with a 15-year-old girl, authorities said. He also was charged with cocaine possession.
The girl, now 16, is pregnant and has told investigators that Gell may be the father, according to a search warrant.
Is there any need to write anything after that?

But we shouldn’t execute him, cause he is a great person. Crazy.
The guy belongs in jail, however, not executed. First of all – its really expensive to the taxpayors to actually get the job done. Second of all – if you execute the wrong person, you have 1. still got a killer out there, 2. *you* just murdered an innocent person.
Interesting aside in that article: “has told investigators that Gell *may* be the father” Ahem. There is no excuse for any man to take advantage of a 15 yr old girl. Yet… Gell was apparently not the only one to do so.
I won’t disagree with your logic on this, Julie. It’s true. I have always thought there should be special courts to handle this issue specifically.
And, though it may be distasteful, and sound bloodthirsty and cruel, innocent people will sometimes be convicted, and executed. If the system ran correctly, Justice, including the death penalty, would be much better deterents to crime then they are.
