And the True Believers wonder why they are losing ground? Well, there is that whole “damn, it’s cold” thing. Oh, and all the errors that keep being found in the UN’s IPCC report that they won a Nobel for. The linking of everything to globull warming, you know, hot, cold, wet, dry, lots of hurricanes, few hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcano’s. Then there is the hypocrisy by the leading climate alarmists and…..well, you know all that. Here’s a sorta new one
Challenging someone’s patriotism is a pretty hefty charge to level in the political arena, based on the response when Barack Obama’s patriotism was challenged during the 2008 election cycle.
However, there seems to be a different set of rules when it comes to questioning the authenticity of the manmade global warming argument in the wake of record-setting snowfall in the Mid-Atlantic. And this different standard applied to Bill Nye “The Science Guy,†who appeared on MSNBC’s Feb. 10 “Rachel Maddow Show†and aired his disapproval of manmade climate change skeptics and labeled them “unpatriotic.â€
I’m not sure if I should get worked up over this, since approximately 12 people actually saw Nye on Maddow’s show.
“[T]here’s more energy in the atmosphere and this is stirring things up,†Nye said. “If you want to get serious about it, these guys claiming that the snow in Washington disproves climate change are almost unpatriotic. It’s really, they’re denying science. So they’re very happy to have the weather forecast be accurate within a few hours, but they’re displeased or un-enchanted by predictions of the world getting warmer. It’s really, it shakes me up.â€
As the climate alarmist folks say, we should listen to him because he is a climatologist. Huh? He’s not? He has a degree in mechanical engineering? It’s a good thing he’s not a fellow at the Committee For Skeptical Inquiry, previously known as the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal. Otherwise, we might think he was a wee bit out there and have no standing.
