GenZ Youts Want More Climate Action Or Something

Would these be the same ones taking lots of fossil fueled trips to take selfies and do TikToks? Using huge amounts of energy streaming everything? Constantly ordering delivery? Wearing lots of fast fashion? Having to always get the latest iPhone, shipped from China?

Gen Zers turn up the heat on President Biden. They want climate action, not words

climate doom is nigh!

Xiye Bastida’s fate was sealed when she stood knee-deep in flood waters in San Pedro Tultepec, Mexico.

Just 13 years old at the time, she saw her neighbors trying to get water out of their homes and storefronts. She saw crops being flooded. She witnessed contamination in the water that spilled over from the Lerma River.

“This paralyzed me for a long time,” Bastida said.

It turned her into an environmental activist, like her parents.

Bastida, now a 21-year-old University of Pennsylvania student, marched through the streets of New York City along with some 75,000 other activists on Sunday to demand the end of fossil fuels. She was also a part of the Climate Ambition Summit youth delegation convened by United Nations’ secretary general, António Guterres

How did she travel to NYC? Nice grift, though

To Bastida, Biden’s absence was one more indication that he’s out of step with many young Americans when it comes to climate change. Many Gen Zers, those born after 1996, said they feel they are being asked to grab the reins and demand that leaders take action, when it should be the other way around.

Why can’t they all simply practice what they preach if they’re so concerned? Why is it that climate cultists always want to force their beliefs, which they do not practice, on Everyone Else? Along those lines, this is simply non-shocking

Washington D.C. is the No. 1 place in the U.S. for taking climate change seriously

A recent J.D. Power report shared exclusively with CNBC Make It ranked 48 states and the District of Columbia on how serious the issue of climate change is on a scale of zero to four, with zero being “there is no climate change” and four being, “climate change is very serious.”

Well, obviously in the place they can exert their power and tax citizens they take it seriously. Except for that most who are trying to tax people and control their lives refuse to act like it’s a crisis in their own lives.

I fully support the desire of GenZ to spend as much of their own money on whatever pleases them best. Sadly, Most of the GenZ prosecutors no longer prosecute cases for fraud if it would harm a Democratic party agenda.

  2. Elwood P. Dowd says:

GenZ is the US cohort from about 13-27 yrs old. Millennials the US generation from ages about 27 to early 40s. That’s a lot of voters you’re mocking. Voters who prefer action on global warming.

Suppress the votes as well as you can!

  3. paul says:

Most climate activists want to reduce carbon pollution not end it immediately. Most anti abortion activists do not want to blow up all Planned Parenthood buildings.
Climate change denial is definitely heavily aged loaded The only generation that Trump carried big and who believes in climate change denial, is the “Silent Generation” that came before the boomers. He won that by 16%
But those oldies are dying off. Boomers only gave Trump a 4% boost And amongst the boomers, blue state residents definitely live longer. 3 red states now have obesity levels over 40% in adults. No wonder they are poor, they spend all their time and money eating.

  4. James Lewis says:

    Dear paul:

“The only generation that Trump carried big and who believes in climate change denial, is the “Silent Generation” that came before the boomers. He won that by 16%
But those oldies are dying off.”

No one denies that the climate is changing. It is the who and why that is argued.

And with us goes a wealth of knowledge and common sense.

    God help the USA.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

“With age comes wisdom, but sometimes age comes alone.” – Oscar Wilde

Every older gen thinks they have all the sense and knowledge. All the younger gens think they’ve experienced everything anew.

America is at a crossroads, where some are reconsidering the experiment of a democratic republic. Right-wing authoritarianism/nationalism is sweeping the globe. Has democracy finally run its course? Russia, China, Brazil, Belarus, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, France, US (Trump)… Canada is ready to ditch Trudeau.

      • James Lewis says:

        Dear Elwood:

Actually common sense is not age related but it does appear to be in the elders in a greater amount than in the youngsters.

Knowledge and wisdom are seperate. If you doubt me just observe the vast numbers of idiots with degrees in such things as Women’s Studies.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Commenter: observe the vast numbers of idiots with degrees in such things as Women’s Studies

You’re entitled to your opinion. Can you support with opinions with facts?

Teach asks: Why can’t they all simply practice what they preach if they’re so concerned? Why is it that climate cultists always want to force their beliefs, which they do not practice, on Everyone Else?

Even if our GenZ’s cut their CO2 emissions to zero it wouldn’t be enough. China shot past the US in emissions around 2008 as their emissions soared and ours were cut some 15% to now.

We understand that deniers imagine a massive conspiracy where a hundreds of thousand scientists are being bribed by governments to frighten everyone into relinquishing their treasure and freedom. The One Grand Conspiracy to Rule Them All is supported/coordinated by universities, governments, religions, NGOs, scientific organizations, corporations and GenZ.

I hope the deniers are right, but they’re not.

    • James Lewis says:

      Dear Elwood:

There’s no coordination but a large amount of support.

In today’s world you must toe the line in scientific research and entertainment.

The NoVA/DC/MD populace will always support anything that brings more power and money to the Federal government and deteriorates the lives of the rest of the country. It’s what they live for. So even on the surface, they have to profess belief in the apocalyptic visions of the climate change cohort.

BTW, by calling people “deniers” you merely telegraph what a dishonest imbecile propagandist you really are.

  8. wildman says:

the greatest scam ever. but to make the scam effective, you need people to believe the scam. That’s the really scary part. that if we turn over money and control of our lives to the scammers that they can control the climate. which is TOTAL BULLSHIT.

  9. Jl says:

“We understand that deniers imagine a massive conspiracy…”. The “we” you continually speak of-are they in the room with you when you post? Say hi to them for us..
Actually, we “deniers” imagine that there’s absolutely no proof that the slight warming we’re experiencing is dire in any way.

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

Sorry doofus, you’re the kind of idiot who believes in conspiracies. We don’t believe that there’s a conspiracy because we understand that you guys all know right off the bat what you gotta do. And then you go and do it. You know talk to each other or write letters to each other or e-mail each other you just automatically know what the most communist thing you can do is and you do it. Evil always knows what to do. That’s why you’re so good at it. You don’t need a conspiracy to rig an election, all the all the things you need are in place you just have to ring it.

You do the same thing with education, the climate, EV’s, and everything else that you’re involved in you will automatically know what to do you don’t need a conspiracy. Being a communist IS the conspiracy.

Haven’t you noticed that wall the news talking heads say the same thing at the same time about any subject? Tucker Carlson used to put on shows where he’d run 5 minutes of everybody on all the different channels saying exactly the same thing at the same time. It all started way back when if you recall when you left a Scott on your high horse with the word gravitas. Most people never heard the word including myself now all of a sudden within a day everybody was saying gravitas. Yeah that’s no conspiracy

and the fact that 80 million people in this country are clamoring for an audit of an election and no judge will entertain a case proves that there’s a conspiracy. The fact that you refuse to investigate a complaint of this size proves that you’re in on the crime. Otherwise you’d be perfectly willing to prove yourselves innocent and us wrong on every point. Are you saying that given the opportunity of shoving everything down our throat you wouldn’t do it?

It’s funny, you lie, we know you lie, you know that we know you lie, and when we say something about it you accuse us of believing in conspiracies. What a freaking laugh.
