Democrats Have A Sad That Voters Blame Them For The Economy And Inflation

The headline of this Politico piece is amusing: “appear ready to blame…” Republicans, Independents, and the regular old moderate Democrats have been blaming Brandon and his Comrades for quite some time. They had a chance, but, neither was focused on the economy, just on things like forcing citizens to take the vaccine (which they mostly knew didn’t work as advertised), wear masks, keep their businesses closed, and jam through a whole host of Modern Socialist legislation. All while letting in huge numbers of illegals and the horrendous Afghanistan withdrawal.

And, Democrats did not get better. The economy hasn’t really gotten better. Products are still often in short supply (in fairness, I won’t blame them for everything. Blame China), but, the media avoids mentioning things, like, say, baby formula still in short supply, despite that big push by Biden. Crime is more than noticeable, especially in Dem run cities where thieves casually stroll into businesses, loot, then causally walk out. And Democrats couldn’t care less about the issues that Americans care about

Voters appear ready to blame Democrats for economy, inflation

Voters’ approval of President Joe Biden remains deep in negative territory and 70 percent of voters say the country is on the wrong track — both results that bode ill for Democrats as Election Day approaches.

Fifty-five percent of registered voters said they disapprove of the job Biden is doing as president, and just 42 percent said they approve in the last POLITICO-Morning Consult poll conducted in advance of Tuesday’s election.

The poll continued to show economic issues at top of mind for voters, with 78 percent saying both the economy and inflation will play a “major role” in how they cast their ballots. By contrast, 61 percent of voters said crime would play a major role in their voting decisions this year and 57 percent said the same about abortion access.

When Democrats best economic ideas are telling working and middle class Americans they can save on energy by purchasing expensive EVs and solar panels for their homes (what do those in apartments do?) or buying a bike, that doesn’t look good. Or BS

That doesn’t actually kick in till 2025

A full 80 percent of Americans said they were concerned about political violence in the U.S., a fear that is shared across gender, age, race and political ideologies. Eighty-seven percent of Democrats reported concerns about political violence, which is defined as an act of violence to achieve a political end, followed by 76 percent of Republicans and independents, respectively.

Violence, eh? Imagine if a Republican tweeted this

Sure looks like a call to violence. The left leaning Daily Beast writes

According to Third Way’s findings, “Despite a roster of GOP candidates who are extreme by any standard, voters see Democrats as just as extreme…”

Progressive readers may have difficulty understanding this, but for much of the country (and I’m not just talking about Trump fans), far-left ideas and activists are more troubling than the crazy candidates and conspiracies on the right.

Hot-button topics like critical race theory, transgender issues in schools, “social justice” riots, and “defund the police,” are simply more bothersome to a lot of the electorate than Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election.

Will Democrat politicians and Elites listen? Of course not

This sense seems to be confirmed by the Third Way memo, which continues: “Less than half [of likely voters surveyed] (46 percent) describe Democrats as patriotic… A paltry 43 percent say Democrats share their values overall and a similar proportion (44 percent) think the party looks out for the middle class—a core element of a winning Democratic brand. Compounding these problems, a majority of voters (55 percent) describe Democrats as preachy and 53 percent say the party is “too woke.” And while 54 percent call Republicans ‘too extreme,’ a strikingly similar 55 percent of voters say the same about Democrats—with 59 percent saying the party has gotten more extreme in recent years.”

It wasn’t Republicans out in the streets looting, pillaging, committing arson, etc.

  1. The Economist says:

If the country loved our seniors as both sides claim, there should be no out of pocket drug costs not bragging that poor people barely surviving in a hostile economic environment only have to pay 2000.00 dollars per year on drugs. Sad for America.

Currently a very large percentage of seniors have a secondary health insurance that covers drugs and makes it so that they pay zero out of pocket drug costs all year long and if they do the deductibles are very small thanks to Medicare part a and b and a supplemental insurance plan.

An example of this is my mother pays for a drug that costs 50,000 dollars per year. Her Medicare and supplemental ensures that she only pays a 100 dollar per year deductible and then she is golden.

Those that suffer the most are those with low incomes and as a result there should be a plan in place to insure they have no out of cost drug charges. This could be as easy as offering these seniors a supplemental insurance policy paid for by the US government but provided by a private insurance company.

I mean the USA is willing to send billions upon billions overseas to kill people, why not spend some of those billions, out of a 4 trillion dollar budget, helping our seniors?

We see what kind if Economist you are. That’s a great idea. Are there any other “special people” who should get their stuff paid for by us taxpayers already burdened with trying to support ourselves and our families thanks to prolific democommie spending, waste and corruption?

Maybe if the country loved our seniors as both sides claim, there should be no out of pocket housing or food costs not bragging that poor people barely surviving in a hostile economic environment should actually pay their rent or mortgage and heaven forfend, buy food. Sad for America.

Meanwhile a new “right” to have us pay off student debt loans for privileged college grads while ignoring everyone else seems an imperative to democommie re-election.

And why should our seniors be forced to buy expensive EV’s because pedo joe actually thinks we can plug in 300 million vehicles into a power grid from the 1930’s? I say free EV’s for all seniors!

Now, let’s address two month vacations for retirees, free home appliances, free organ transplants (except for evil smokers) and of course free sex change operations for seniors who identify as 30.

If they’re poor and black giv’em cheese. If they’re old giv’em health care. If they work for a living steal their earnings to pay for it. But if they’re rich democommie donors giv’em subsidies out the wazoo.

      Mega MAGA.

Of course, the Democrats, including our distinguished sage from St Louis, blamed President Trump for a virus that originated in China, and spread to the US, and the business closures imposed by Democratic governors, and thought it perfectly fair to blame Mr Trump. He was, after all, President of the United States, and the President gets all of the credit when things are going well, and al of the blame when things are going badly.

That’s true of the economy as well, and President Biden and the Democrats are getting the blame for it; the Dems have no room to combitch about the public doing to them what they did to the GOP two years ago.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

We don’t blame Mr trump for the virus, it’s just that he was president back then. Was he responsible for surge in unemployment? Nope. But the buck stops there!

Voters kicked him out of office because they were sick of his shit. Still are.

AR, IA, NV, ND, SD, WY, UT, NE, ID were the states with NO lockdown orders. But that still leaves some 20 Repub governors who allowed lockdowns!! And about 20 Dems!

The antidote to falsehoods, e.g., trump caused the pandemic, Biden caused inflation, is the truth. But the truth is often complicated and won’t fit on a hat or a billboard.

But Mr Dana is correct that the prez gets the blame and the credit.

A bartender got elected to Congress 3 years ago at a salary of $174K per year is now worth $29M…

And the dems impeached Donald Trump over a phone call.

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

Drowningpuppies, If you’re referring to AOC you have been misinformed. She is worth less that 20 grand. The stupid bitch can’t even manage her own money but somehow thinks she’s qualified to spend ours. Figures. How can a person grossing over $174k a year only save about $3k? She spends too much on birth control and penicillin. Wait, she’s a critter so we pay for that.

AOC combines deceit and stupidity in the service of a corrupt cause. These are the people dowd supports!

Mega MAGA. Vote right, vote Republican (since that’s all we got).

Brain Dead Hobo is already predicting that he’ll have a late night “comeback” once the real votes are counted and the counters know how many need to be manufactured.

One advantage of his mental debilitation is that he is more prone to say the quiet part out loud. His side already knows that the cheating will happen in the middle of the night. There’s no need for him to remind the normals of it.

      Mega MAGA, the steal begins.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

The Mega MAGAt is already predicting that the nuGOPhers will lose! Stop the steal!

10s of millions of Americans voted before today, and the polls around here were crowded today. My neighbor went to vote early last week and said the line at the local community college poll was too long!

I even voted for a Republican in a local race today! To be fair, he was a former Dem recruited this year to run against the hapless Dem incumbent.

        • drowningpuppies says:

Don’t think anyone around here really cares who or what you voted for, narcissist.

        • Dana says:

And I voted for two Democrats, but neither was in a policy-making position. I personally knew that Sheriff Chris Flynn was an honest man, a Marine Corps veteran, and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment before he was first elected in 2018; I voted for him then, and I voted for him this year.

I also voted for the Democrat running for County Judge-Executive — not a judicial position in Kentucky, but the senior executive in the county — because the Republican who currently holds the office just isn’t very good at his job.

  5. JimS says:

I’m a senior on some moderately expensive meds. Trump had already pushed through a plan to cap one of them at $35/month. But one of Sleepy Joe’s first actions was to scrap that whole plan. So now it’s $135/mo after my Part D deductible kicks in. FJB

  6. Elwood P. Dowd says:

First, Representative Ocasio-Cortez was accused of skullduggery for somehow accruing $29 million in a few short years.

When it was pointed out that that was a dumb lie, the cretin hive accused her of only accumulating $200,000!

She is only 33 years old, without an inheritance or a rich daddy.

In contrast, another well-known politician had “earned” a million dollars by the time he was 8 years old!

I can’t believe the people of Pennsylvania voted in that deformed, brain dead hobo for Gov. What the hell happened to that state it used to be reasonably sane?

BTW dowd you malevolent fool, nobody “lied” about that cheap kunt AOC. He was misinformed. You are once again projecting what you do onto others.

    Mega MAGA.

    • Professor Hale says:

“Yellow dog” Democrat used to be a metaphor. But, since Biden, Democrats really will vote in anything with a (D) next to the name. Congrats, Pennsylvania. You are going to have some great Senate representation. Of course, it doesn’t take any great intellect to just agree with party line votes. In this country, we are already mostly voting for parties, not people. Democrats go out of their way to prove it.

No real surprises. City people vote hard-line Democrat and often outweigh people in the countryside.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

The big surprise was the turnout, largely driven by the SCOTUS Dobbs decision.

And countryside people vote hard-line Republican and often outweigh people in the urban areas.

Of course, it doesn’t take any great intellect to just agree with party line votes. Rural people in PA voted for the toxic Doug Mastriano (QAnon, Christian nationalist, Islamophobe, birther, ED sufferer, Jan 6 rioter…)! Rural New Hampshirites voted for the toxic Don “Litter Box” Bolduc (ED sufferer, vaccine microchipper, called Gov Chris Sununu a “Chinese Communist sympathizer” and a “terrorist”) but he lost, too. These are the same Americans who voted twice for Don Trump.

That said, rural Americans and urban Americans are all Americans and not enemies. The essence of MAGAtism is that over half of Americans are lying, election-stealing, socialist, commie traitors.

Record inflation, rising crime, Ukraine, illegal immigration and a very unpopular Dem president, and still no Red Tsunami, with American voters rejecting the MAGA messages.

Kansas (earlier), California, Vermont and Michigan all supported the right to abortion. Kentucky voters rejected an amendment stating that abortion was not condoned by the state constitution.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Mega MAGAt typed: Pennsylvania voted in that deformed, brain dead hobo for Gov

Are you referring to Mr Fetterman? He was elected to the Senate, not the governorship. Shapiro (D) won the governor’s race, trouncing the lunatic, Mastriano (R).

Pennsylvanians rejected the hateful Mastriano and the “crudite”-eating carpetbagger Oz from NJ.

Nationally, this is a rejection of MAGAtism. Ron deSanctimonious took a yuuuuge step forward.
