The best part of that pin-up is the red 1956 Thunderbird in the background! If I could have any toy car I wanted, that would be it, with the removable hard top with the porthole, and the rear mounted spare tire.

Alas! These things go for $50,000+

Ford ruined the T-Bird by making it a four-seater in 1958 (IIRC) and it eventually died. There was a brief reissuing in the 2000s, but it didn’t last long.

  2. Our esteemed host had a small typo:

The First Street Journal has an economics lesson in the Philly Enquirer

It’s actually the Philadelphia Inquirer, but I have used the alternate spelling myself, with this footnote:

RedState writer Mike Miller called it the Enquirer, probably by mistake, so I didn’t originate it, but, reminiscent of the National Enquirer as it is, I thought it very apt.

  3. Elwood P. Dowd says:

    for Fort Denison, Sydney:

Between 1886 and 2010, sea-level rise averaged at 0.65 mm per year, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

As even conservative science deniers understand (we think) the Earth rotates! This means not all regions have the same increase!

    Globally:

Sea level has risen 8–9 inches (21–24 centimeters) since 1880.

In 2020, global sea level set a new record high—91.3 mm (3.6 inches) above 1993 levels.

The rate of sea level rise is accelerating: it has more than doubled from 0.06 inches (1.4 millimeters) per year throughout most of the twentieth century to 0.14 inches (3.6 millimeters) per year from 2006–2015.

Look at these two photos PROVING sea level rise from global warming!!

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Great work! Where is it published?

We note too that the prolific typist Willis Eschenbach comments at her blog. Where is “Dr” Eschenbach’s work published other than WUWT?

      • Jl says:

“Where is it published?” That’s code for “you can’t refute it”. If it could be refuted, it wouldn’t matter where it’s published, correct? One would just refute it. By the way, it’s published at Zoe’s website and Willis at WUWT.
This data can be “reviewed by their peers” at any time. In fact, it’s easier, as there’s no wait and no paywall.

  4. […] as always to The Daley Gator, The Other McCain, Bacon Time, and Pirate’s Cove for the Rule Five […]

  5. Elwood P. Dowd says:

The objective of the authoritarian nuRight is to undermine any and all American institutional underpinnings.

They attack science, scientists, medicine, government(s), education, agencies – FBI, Social Security, the media, books, arithmetic, corporations, truth and facts.

Scratch a tRumpist and you’ll find an authoritarian, science denier, anti-vaxxer, conspiracist, election-confuser, anti-government, anti-taxxer, forced birther, forced christianist, white nationalist, fact-refractory etc. Why is that?
