Ohio State University: Only Some Black Lives Matter

Is it a shame that police were forced to take down Ma’Khia brown? Of course. Is it her own fault for attacking another black girl with a knife, getting ready to stab her, being warned to stop? Heck yes. And this was all over a housekeeping dispute? Who the heck goes bonkers and grabs a knife over that? Of course, in this day and age, people always want to blame Someone Else, rather than themselves. And, of course, despite paying lots of money to attend a higher education institution, kids do not seem to actually know much nor able to engage in critical thinking

After Ma’Khia Bryant’s killing, Ohio State University students demand the college sever ties with Columbus police

Destiny Brown, a senior at the Ohio State University, breathed a sigh of relief in her dorm room on Tuesday when the guilty verdict came down for former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin. But the moment of respite proved short-lived. Minutes later, she scrolled on Twitter and learned that a 16-year-old Black girl, Ma’Khia Bryant, had been shot and killed that afternoon by Columbus police.

“I can’t even begin to process the fact that we live in a world where people’s lives — regardless of what they’re doing, what they have going on, guilty or not, innocent or not — their lives just do not matter,” Brown told Yahoo News. “It doesn’t make sense to me and never will.”

Overcome with a feeling of helplessness, Brown fired off a group text message to her friends Tuesday evening. “I’m ready to organize again,” she told them.

In a matter of hours, Brown and her friends had planned a sit-in to be held the following day at the Ohio Union, the university’s student center in Columbus. Their goal, Brown said, was simple: to demand that the school sever ties with Columbus police over Bryant’s killing and its mistreatment of students of color.

On Wednesday afternoon, in the midst of finals week, more than 400 Ohio State University students, staff and faculty members attended the sit-in, where attendees chanted, “Say her name” and “Black Lives Matter.” The participants also observed 16 minutes of silence to mark the number of years Bryant had lived. Organizers told the crowd that the protest wasn’t for police reform but for abolition. Following the demonstration, the crowd marched to the Ohio Statehouse, chanting Bryant’s name.

How about saying the name of the girl in pink who would have been the recipient of Ma’Khia’s stabbing? It hasn’t been released as far as I can tell, but, that’s immaterial. And you can bet almost every single one of those college snowflakes would be happy if the cops took down someone trying stab themselves. And would happily call the police if someone was committing a crime against themselves. But, they want the university to sever ties with the Columbus police department. Of course, not everyone agrees.

At Wednesday’s sit-in event, student speakers called out what they felt was a double standard by Columbus police, which is 85 percent white in a community where 30 percent of residents are Black. Data from Mapping Police Violence, a site that tracks police killings, shows that Black people in Columbus are also five times as likely to be killed by police than their white peers. In 2017, Columbus police ranked No. 1 in police killings of Black people among the country’s 15 largest cities.

Even if that’s the case (and people should ask why that is what it is, and it has more to do with lawless actions), the cop stopped an assault with a deadly weapon against another black girl. Does her life not matter? Here’s an idea: everyone who wants to ban police from campus should sign a petition with their name, address, and phone number. If any of those people call 911 for anything regarding a crime against themselves/their property, they are told “nope. You said you didn’t need us. Call a social worker.”

Ann Coulter said it best in a tweet. Derek Chauvin…..Human Sacrifice.

Chauvin had zero chance of a fair trial. Zero. Get used to it cops.

You shoot a black person and your going down. Period. Can You imagine the outrage and the number of cities that would burn if this black girl had been doing this to a white woman and the cop shot the black girl.

Goodness. Cops need to resign immediately. TODAY you can end up in prison for the rest of your life after a 911 call to help ends up in you shooting a black person.

Again I call upon all _Police to quit today from any and all Major cities in blue states as well as any cities and municipalities that are run by democrats or in which the state itself is Democratically controlled.

They clearly do not want you. You serve no purpose in a democratic socialist utopia and it is why the left is pushing so hard for getting rid of guns.

    ONE. Get rid of COPS.

    TWO. Get rid of guns.

THREE. Call the Military to police everything.

FOUR. Embrace communism/Fascism as the state controls everything including the MSM and SOCIAL MEDIA.

There will be a civil war. It is inevitable because of this thing called the internet in which China and Russia and Cuba and North Korea and Iran and a dozen other countries can be in the USA matters night and day pushing lies and falsehoods.

It was just revealed that Kamala Harris had a shadow army of BOTS running one of her agendas and even named the Leftist democrat running it who admitted as such and CRICKETS from the MSM. They LIKE IT. They love marching to the tune of LIES and MISINFORMATION.

IT SELLS. The spectacular sells clicks. Clicks get advertising revenue.

We can end all of this by making it illegal to advertise on the internet for American companies. But of course we wont. Too many billions of dollars by 10,000 companies would trade hands to allow that to happen.

So we are stuck with lies, misinformation and false narratives. Just look at almost every post Hairy makes here daily. They are nothing but disinformation to say the least and usually totally false in every regard at most.

So is the internet. Thats why people like me are paid to find the truth and point out the lies.

Oh and by the way Sidney Powell and Mike Lindel and others WANTED to be sued. Those doing the suing are just expecting this to be settled out of court but in reality by suing they open up discovery and Dominion and the software company are exposing their own internal workings to the courts as well as allowing for the millions of pages of voter fraud to be exposed to the court.

We are all betting that the judge will be paid to throw these cases out because no one wants to believe that the USA voting system is so filled with fraud as to render it a third world banana Republic.

Well, it’s true: only some black lives matter. The black lives taken by white police officers? Yup, they matter! The 156 people, the vast majority of whom were black, who were murdered so far this year in foul, fetid, fuming, foggy, filthy, Philadelphia? Their killings aren’t even newsworthy to the editors, columnists and writers of The Philadelphia Inquirer, not unless the victim is a little kid — and Philadelphians who get their news solely from the Inquirer never heard of Jaslyn Adams — a “somebody,” or a cute little white girl.

Columbus, Ohio, saw 175 murders in 2020, and, as of mid October, 75% of the victims were black:

Columbus Police also shared details on the homicide suspects. Of the 79 identified, 65 are Black with 59 being Black men, and nine are white with eight being white men.

Of the cases police say were solved, 56 had a Black victim and a Black suspect, two had a Black victim and a white suspect, seven had a white victim and a Black suspect and six had a white victim and a white suspect.

I couldn’t find more recent numbers, but in 2010, the population of Columbus was 28.0% black. Shouldn’t Destiny Brown, a senior at Ohio State, be asking why a city that’s 28% black is seeing 75% of murder victims being black, and that 96.6% of the solved murders of black people were committed by other black people?

The lovely Miss Brown wouldn’t admit it, of course, because she’s too #woke to do so, and asking the question leads to an uncomfortable truth: in urban America, the black culture allows these killings to happen.

    • Kye says:

“…. in urban America, the black culture allows these killings to happen.”

The black culture not only allows these killings to happen they, with the backing of their Democrat masters encourage it by creating a culture of ignorance that stipulates any blacks trying to better themselves or moving off the Democrat plantation are “Oreos”. Remember what the illegitimate Junta Xiden said: If you are considering voting for Trump “you ain’t black”.

The Democrat (now fascist) party that controls the blacks like pets created the ghetto system in cities to capture the black vote and have no intention of giving it up. Even though with the great advances they’ve made in election stealing they really don’t need the black vote they surely won’t allow it any Freedom of Choice.

In the last campaign, Biden told a black talk show host, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” (Mr. Nasty later apologized, attributing the remark to geriatric exuberance.) In the 2012 campaign, then-Vice President Biden told an African American audience that Republican candidate Romney would “put y’all back in chains.” Like a dog returning to its vomit, Democrats keep coming back to this theme: “Republicans love the Confederate flag.” “The GOP celebrates police shootings of the proverbial ‘unarmed black man.’” Of course, what are they going to say: “Hey, vote for the party that destroyed the black family?” or “Vote for the party that wants to keep African Americans in a permanent state of the dependence?”

Democrats haven’t quite figured out a way to tie infrastructure spending to race. Don’t worry; they will.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Mx Dana proclaims: in urban America, the black culture allows these killings to happen

      Could you describe “Black culture”?

Perhaps consider it may be American culture that allows these killings to happen. Just as American culture allows 10s of thousands of US citizens to die of opioid overdoses each year (83,000 in 2020, nearly 7 times the number of homicides). These deaths also occur in white, rural America.

Covid killed over 500,000 Americans last year. Blacks, Native Americans and Hispanics are about 1.5 times more likely than whites to die from Covid. Is that because of Black, Native American or Hispanic “culture”.

Of all the advanced nations (Australia to United Kingdom), the US, the richest nation in the history of nations, has the 2nd highest death rate from malnutrition, with only France being worse.

Is Black culture responsible for Black families having 1/4th the average accumulated wealth of white families?

Was Black culture responsible for residential red-lining and neighborhood covenants?

Was Black culture responsible for decades of substandard schools in Black neighborhoods?

Poverty rates by “race”: Native Americans (25.4%), Blacks (20.8%), Hispanics (17.6%), Whites (10.1%), Asians-Americans (10.1%). Are these differences due to Native American and Black “culture”.

Maybe their parents didn’t teach them that not resisting arrest matters. Their parents should have them watch Chris Rock’s “How not to get your ass kicked by the police” on YouTube. You’d think this would be simple common sense, but that’s asking for a lot….

      • Jl says:

Does black culture cause them to have a homicide rate of over 50% while only being 13% of the population?

      • Dana says:

Were it “American culture” rather than urban “black culture,” we ought to see similar homicide rates for whites and blacks. Do we?

You are looking for every possible excuse to blame someone other than black Americans for their behavior. You’ll never get the right answers if you refuse to consider the right questions.

It is, sadly, true that our American culture has allowed widespread opioid use, and its concomitant deaths. But even there, you’ve undermined your own case: opioid deaths are more evenly spread by race than homicide; if the cause is poverty, than the homicide rates should be the same, and they aren’t.

The OSU Police Division (OSUPD), not the CPD, handle law enforcement on campus.

“The Ohio State University Police Division (OSUPD) is the primary law enforcement agency on all of our campuses,” the statement continued. “In Columbus, we contract with the Columbus Division of Police (CPD) for specific services, largely traffic control for athletics events. We also have a mutual-aid agreement in place that allows our OSUPD to assist CPD off campus.”

The students are entitled to protest peacefully and are also entitled to be wrong.

On April 19, students (mostly white) held the Annual Chittfest on nearby Chittenden Avenue. As usual, the “celebration” got out of hand. Cars were overturned, property destroyed, people assaulted, but the CPD couldn’t be bothered: “The police dispatcher told me, and I quote, ‘They have other things to worry about and they’ll come down when it’s safe for them,'” said Lauren Taras, 22, of Cleveland (whose Chevy Cruze was destroyed by being “flipped”). “I’m really disappointed there were no police there.”

The CPD didn’t shoot anyone since they failed to intervene likely because it was a celebration rather than a protest.

Obviously the police weren’t seeing it as trouble, but the people who had their vehicles destroyed appear to see it differently. Perhaps next time the cops will be there. The police monitor protests more closely because it has been the protests which have turned in to burning, beating and looting.
