Actually, 48% is an excellent total understanding global warming considering there are 46% of Americans who think the Earth is 10,000 years old. Add the fact that FOX, the right-wing blog industry, the fossil fuels industry and Republican elites have spend millions of dollars and thousands of hours to discredit climate science. Finally, it’s an issue of arguable immediacy – jobs and jobs have occupied people’s minds.
In the data you linked to: 77% think the US gov’t should fund renewables research. 74% think CO2 should be regulated as a pollutant.
The earth’s temperatures have not risen as expected by the Climate Establishment and as forecasted by the climate models. Particularly, the forecasts in the IPCC’s Fourth Assessment Report (AR-4, 2007) are not valid. This “pause†or plateau in temperatures has resulted in many explanations, often invoking natural causes not presented in the IPCC reports.

Your cutting and pasting the same idiotic remarks does not make your argument any better than one year ago. No, you can not assume that your religion of CO2 is true as no one has a different explanation, especially when peer review publications have corrupted the science and will not allow alternative publications.
Looking at the map indicates all you need to know about the religion of AGW. You can overlay the electoral maps for any elections and see that the religion is prevalent in the communistic voting block. Enough said.
Now, Jeff, you had an argument for a black box effect with CO2. Therefore, you can calculate the amount of upper atmosphere CO2 to get the needed rise in temp. Where is that?
Well the climate truthers have received 100s of millions to present their views to Americans and Americans have the the lowest belief in AGW
All the European populations would poll higher Germany switzerland etc.
Also the GOP’s bff Israel their population would poll much higher but in those populations also fewer people would be exposed to fossil fuel funded denialism

Co2 represents approx .04% of the atmosphere according to Scientific American. National Goegraphic claimed that oceans absorb half of all man made Co2, 50%. Leeds Univ states that forests absord 40% of man made C02.
Last Oct a team at Wyoming Univ stated that planst may absorb as much as 16% of man made Co2.
And people are to believe that the science is settled?

No offense, but none of what you listed is relevant (although common lore from less sophisticated deniers).
Has the concentration of CO2 in the air increased? Yes. It’s increased from 280 ppm to 400 ppm, the highest level in at least 800,000 years. It continues to rise.
Does CO2 in the air contribute to warming? Yes. It’s the reason Earth isn’t an ice-covered planet.

What data do you have to say “significantly”, or rather how do you know it didn’t warm just as significantly in the past? How do you know it didn’t warm much more in the past so as to call this small amount now “insignificant”? The definition of “significant”..is?
