Tolerant Liberal Principle Bans Use Of The Word “Easter”

Typical

(The Blaze) Heritage Elementary School in Madison, Alabama is taking the word “Easter” out of Easter, according to WHNT19 News.

What does that mean? Well, they’ll still tolerate someone dressed as a giant bunny, but it will no longer be called the “Easter bunny.” Similarly, “Easter eggs” are just “eggs,” and it might be better just to use “different shapes.”

School principal Lydia Davenport said with a smile: “Kids love the bunny, and we just make sure we don’t say ‘the Easter bunny’ so that we don’t infringe on the rights of others, because people relate the Easter bunny to religion. A bunny is a bunny and a rabbit is a rabbit.”

How about the fact that you’re infringing on the Rights of those who celebrate Easter? Ever notice that tolerance from Progressives tends to only include things that they agree with?

Ms. Davenport should, since she doesn’t want to infringe on the rights of others, immediately cancel all leave for school employees for Easter (many schools are off at this time or get Friday or Monday off), as well as telling all employees that they will be working on Christmas. Hey, if she doesn’t like religion in the schools……

Must have been those liberal Jews in the ACLU. Teach in the USA only a very small percent go to church each Sunday.

  2. gitarcarver says:

Once again, john not only deflects the issue, but demonstrates a hatred of people of faith.

Since you support the principal’s action here john, please tellus how calling something by its proper and correct name (ie “Easter bunny” and “Easter egg”) infringes on the rights of any student?

You previously mentioned the Constitution as being the basis for laws in the US, so please show us where the principal has the right to suppress the speech of others?

A bunny is a bunny and a rabbit is a rabbit and an idiot is still an idiot.

    “Principal”, with an “a”

    “The Principal had principles.”

  5. john says:

ahh yes the fertility rights of Spring. The Man Son of God and a Virgin dies and then is miraculously resurrected from the dead. No wonder only 25% of all Americqns go to church each Sunday. Ahhh the War Against Easter……..

  6. gitarcarver says:

    Another deflection fron john.

Notice how he refuses to condemn the principal for violating the speech of others as well as being historically inaccurate.

Put in real teachers that believe in punishment and following local customs.
