Democrats Still Whining About Neil Monro Daring To Ask Obama A Question

Good grief, they just can’t stop. This time it is “Karen Finney, a political analyst for MSNBC and Democratic consultant” penning a screeching whinefest op-ed at The Hill

It’s not just that interrupting the president of the United States, as Neil Munro from the Daily Caller did not once but twice last week during a routine press event in the White House Rose Garden, crossed the line from uncivil to inappropriate. The question he shouted, “Mr. President, why do you favor foreign workers over Americans?” was unprofessionally divisive. Resorting to race-baiting or pitting groups of human beings against one another is not journalism worthy of a White House press pass.

Um, we’d all like to know just how adding 800,000+ illegal aliens to the workforce through work visas will help Americans get jobs. Yet, Obama came out (45 minutes late), gave a long winded statement about giving these visas, and declined to take questions (again). Weird how Democrats suddenly abandon their “the people have a right to know” thought when it is a Democrat being challenged.

Rather than helping to further understanding about the policy being announced, Munro engaged in exactly the kind of provocative-for-the-sake-of-it “journalism” that cheapens our national debate on important issues, contributing to a more polarized, less informed, un-civil society at exactly the time we need more engagement from the American people, not less.

How can the American people engage when the POTUS refuses to take questions?

Time and again the right wing has labeled President Obama as “divisive” and right-wing and some mainstream media continue to depict African-American men as angry and scary (as Bill Maher so effectively pointed out on his show last week) rather than professional, hard-working or loving. Yet, as he has done so many times before, during that offensive exchange, Obama responded firmly and respectfully to both interruptions, affording Munro the courtesy of referring to him as “Sir,” and, without raising his voice or moderating his tone, told him to wait until he had finished his statement before asking questions.

So daring to ask Obama a question, something the 1st Amendment clearly allows, is now raaaaacist. Should we be surprised?

Oh, and isn’t nice how Obama gave Neil the opportunity to refer to Obama as Your Majesty “sir”?

Perhaps Ms. Finney should look towards her own network, MSNBC, who engaged in blatant uncivil treatment when they decided to lie about Mitt Romney going to a WaWa.

This is what I don’t get, the news story is the fact that this guy, who is a terrible president, has exerted presidental power in an unknown area. He has subverted congress. He ignores the will of the people. He rewards law breakers. He adds to our cost of social care. He does this simply for political reasons. But the news is that a reporter stood up to him and interrupted the great man. The reporter should get a medal.

  2. But, see, the media adores Obama, at least personally, and they need to make him out to be the good guy despite being completely incompetent (and the media knows he’s incompetent) and despite the Obama admin treating the mostly liberal media like sh*t, so they make the story about a citizen who dares speak truth to power, which is only allowed when it is a Republican in power.

And, that is what reporters used to do! They push their subjects for the truth. They press when given contradicting information or something that does not line up with standard knowledge. Heck, they’ll even ask alternate questions in order to just cover all their bases This is usually learned (“learnt” for gitarcarver) in 7th grade Debate class.

And that again highlights why CNN and MSNBC are no longer news reporting agencies. They are DNC mouthpieces. Why help promote a policy? That is the president’s job and the job of the DNC and its members. Your job is to report and ask questions about WHY, WHERE, WHO, and WHAT impacts this will have.

provocative-for-the-sake-of-it “journalism” that cheapens our national debate on important issues, contributing to a more polarized, less informed, un-civil society at exactly the time we need more engagement from the American people, not less.

So, asking questions in order to seek and provide more information to the public is bad. Gotcha. Hey lady, you don’t need more engagement, you need more truth. Prostitutes engage. Reporters report.

Nice play of the race card there snookums. And because we believe that he is divisive and a detriment to any sane society, does not mean we are basing that on his skin color. And no one has stated that because our president happens to be black, we therefore find all black people to be uncouthe hateful louts. From what sewage dimension does she slime through to spew these lies?

But then again…. she .. how’d she put it?… is only engaging “engaged in exactly the kind of provocative-for-the-sake-of-it “journalism” that cheapens our national debate on important issues, contributing to a more polarized, less informed, un-civil society at exactly the time we need more engagement from the American people, not less.
