Democratic strategists believe their Tea Party moment has arrived.
Working with labor unions and liberal groups, they are using the Presidents Day congressional recess to organize a public backlash against billions of dollars in cuts to federal programs.
Of course, it’s so simple, because that is exactly what the Tea Party movement was about, stopping the reduction of absurd levels of spending, all fomented and run by unions and big groups, like MoveOn! It wasn’t like the people just started coming out and then the Tea Party and backers started forming or something.
Mike Lux, a Democratic strategist who works with liberal groups, said Democrats hope to replicate a Tea Party-like public uprising against the GOP call for steep budget cuts.
Let us know how that works out. Somehow, I don’t think you will get anyone other than the same old liberal grievance groups out and about, told by their bosses to protest reduced spending, something that the American People want.
