Pastor Fired From NC Capitol Gig For Refusing To Not Say “Jesus”

If you’re inviting a Baptist pastor to lead a prayer in the South, yeah, the name of Jesus is going to be mentioned. Unfortunately, he ran into modern Democrats

A North Carolina pastor was relieved of his duties as an honorary chaplain of the state house of representatives after he closed a prayer by invoking the name of Jesus.

“I got fired,” said Ron Baity, pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He had been invited to lead prayer for an entire week but his tenure was cut short when he refused to remove the name Jesus from his invocation.

Peeps at the NC House wanted to see the prayer, and, when he wouldn’t remove the Name, they brought the matter up to House Leader Joey Hackney, who barely acknowledges he is, in fact, a Democrat. The Dems thought that the mention of Jesus would offend someone. More from The Winston Salem Journal

When he arrived at the House chamber, he provided his prayer in writing to a clerk as requested, Baity said yesterday. When the clerk saw that the prayer contained a reference to Jesus, she told him that there were people of many faiths attending and asked if he could drop the reference.

“My response to her was I am a Christian, and as a Christian I too can be offended, and I am offended if I cannot pray in the name of Jesus,” Baity said.

So now these idiots in government, including Minority Leader Paul Stam (R), are going to look at the rules to make sure prayers are more non-denominational and non-sectarian. Um, guys, prayers are supposed to be denominational and sectarian. Quite frankly, if they invited a Muslim to give the prayers, I would expect him to mention Allah and even Mohammed. While I might not agree with the prayer, sheesh, let them say it. Stop being the United States of the Offended, as Robert D. Rayford often calls us. How about some tolerance?

The Progressive left has embarked on a decades long battle to turn Political Correctness into their Religion.

This is but one of a million examples of the NEW CHRIST in Democratic politics.

Its called Secular Humanism by its ardents who are mainly Progressive/Socialists/Communists.

The obvious purpose is to replace the Christian God with their own God. Political Correctness.

    And

    Its working too!

May all of those opposed, ROT IN HELL! That is kind of redundant, isn’t it?
