Copenhagen Climahypocricy Opens Today. No Limo’s Available

Climahysterics are showing their true climahypocricy, just like they have done at so many of the other conferences, like when they visited the exotic vacation spot of Bali, and had to dead head (no passengers) their private jets to other islands because there were no parking spots left. So, not only are the ladies of the night free, but: Copenhagen climate summit: 1,200 limos, 140 private planes and caviar wedges

On a normal day, Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen’s biggest limousine company, says her firm has twelve vehicles on the road. During the “summit to save the world”, which opens here tomorrow, she will have 200.

“We thought they were not going to have many cars, due to it being a climate convention,” she says. “But it seems that somebody last week looked at the weather report.”

Ms Jorgensen reckons that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen next week has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up on Thursday and ordered another 42. “We haven’t got enough limos in the country to fulfil the demand,” she says. “We’re having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden.”

And the total number of electric cars or hybrids among that number? “Five,” says Ms Jorgensen. “The government has some alternative fuel cars but the rest will be petrol or diesel. We don’t have any hybrids in Denmark, unfortunately, due to the extreme taxes on those cars. It makes no sense at all, but it’s very Danish.”

The airport says it is expecting up to 140 extra private jets during the peak period alone, so far over its capacity that the planes will have to fly off to regional airports – or to Sweden – to park, returning to Copenhagen to pick up their VIP passengers.

As well 15,000 delegates and officials, 5,000 journalists and 98 world leaders, the Danish capital will be blessed by the presence of Leonardo DiCaprio, Daryl Hannah, Helena Christensen, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Prince Charles. A Republican US senator, Jim Inhofe, is jetting in at the head of an anti-climate-change “Truth Squad.” The top hotels – all fully booked at £650 a night – are readying their Climate Convention menus of (no doubt sustainable) scallops, foie gras and sculpted caviar wedges.

It’s almost like it is a movie event, like Sundance. Everyone wants to see and be seen, and they will all claim to be “Friends of the Earth,” yet, their actions rarely meet their yapping points.

So, now what, Disciples of the Church of Gore? Is this acceptable behavior to you? Do these people appear to be those that care about man induced global warming, or simply BS artists who like a vacation to make legislation to control your life and destroy the economies of the world? It’s OK, we know you won’t tell the truth, you have been entirely too brain washed.

Awesome. I can’t decide whether to laugh my head off, or blow my head off.
How about instead of this fiasco, we sit down and finally have an honest discussion via say video phone conference. We could talk about the truths and falsehoods of this AGW bs.
We could perhaps stop these fools and hypocrites from destroying our nation in the false name of their God AGW!

  2. Reasic says:

Trish, you can’t even have a logical discussion on this blog about it. How do you expect to sit down with the world’s leaders and explain yourself? Seriously, try me. Why is AGW BS?

  3. Otter says:

Because the likes of you want it to be real, realsick.

  4. Reasic says:

What are you talking about, Otter? How is it that you can make countless pointless snide remarks, but can’t provide a simple graph to demonstrate the 11-yr cooling trend that you so confidently spoke of? Now who’s full of BS? YOU’RE the one who can’t back up your own statements with evidence. I’m left to believe that you have no proof, and were only blowing hot air.

  5. Trish says:

Explain their blatant hypocrisy Reasic, or are you just another blind mouse following them into oblivion; and DO NOT give me more of your mumbo jumbo, I’ve read it, and have seen refites galore. You are a civil engineer NOT a climatologist, and no I have ne credentials just common sense. THIS Summit IS A JOKE! Man made global warming is a theory, not a proven fact.

  6. Reasic says:

What hypocrisy are you referring to, Trish? Do you understand what the term “theory” in science means? You realize gravity is also a theory, as is the theory of relativity.

I want to see the evidence that you’ve seen, which has been so convincing to you to make you believe that there is a huge international conspiracy among all of the world’s top climate scientists, as well as nearly all of the world’s scientific organizations. Please share with me that which has convinced you that all of the world’s scientists are wrong.

  7. Trish says:

All the world’s scientists and scientific organizations? Wow, Reasic, first you tell me that I don’t make sense, then you say that?

I asked a simple question, how do you explain the hypocrisy of this summit? How? Well over 15,000 people traveling from all over the planet (most by plane & private jet) who once they have landed will personally use thousands of vehicles, and many more vehicles and planes will have been used to bring the party to Copenhagen ie food and supplies. I won’t even go as far as to use the comparison to the amount of energy used by small countries in a year, but we know it’s a fact.
It’s an absolute perfect example of hypocrisy. And you won’t admit it.

  8. Reasic says:

Why do you do think I don’t make sense? The world’s climate scientists agree with AGW. The majority of the world’s scientific organizations have released statements agreeing with AGW. What is the problem?

lol. So nobody should be able to travel in order to meet on this international issue? The point of taking action is to encourage a new way of generating and using energy, mainly. This isn’t about making everyone live in a cave. That’s a straw man that is perpetrated by the right. Besides, the amount of carbon used to get to this summit will pale in comparison to that which could be saved by any agreement made.

Do you really believe that the fact that a bunch of politicians are flying to copenhagen is the best evidence that AGW is wrong?

  9. Trish says:

I believe that the scientists who are promoting AGW, their counterparts in politics, and the environmentalists all flying there are proving that they are hypocritical egotists, and their actions are shouting “do as we say not as we do”
I never said it’s evidence of anything more.

  10. Reasic says:

You’ve also stated very confidently that AGW is a “joke”. What are you basing this on?

  11. Otter says:

Trish- realsick believes that politicians know what is best for us. Especially the ones who believe the core of the Earth is Millions of Degrees, who claimed that hurricanes would get worse as natural global warming occurred- Which Dr. Gray quite rightly pointed out, they would NOT- and that emails plainly dated within the last ten years, are at least ten years old.
We have nothing to fear. The politicians are right every time!

  12. Reasic says:

I’ve actually stated, here and elsewhere, that I do NOT look to politicians for information on this subject, and especially not Al Gore. Thanks for paying attention, though.

I have gotten most of my information on global warming from the most recent IPCC reports, which stick to summarizing the scientific research on the subject.
