Semour Hersh Claims US Special Death Squad Killed Benazir Bhutto

I’m going to have to add one more problem on to John’s 6 problems with modern liberalism: it rots their brains to the point they will say and believe the most insane things. They go batsh*t crazy, as Ace termed it, when witnessing Excitable Andy’s long fall into insanity. You had Kos himself writing “screw ’em” when the contractors were brutally killed in Iraq. The Twoofer movement is primarily composed of folks on the Left. Pelosi accused the CIA of lying to Congress. The hit parade could go on and on and on, just including material from the Usual Moonbats current posts. But, let’s visit the long, strange trip of Seymour Hersh to Pure Cwazy

Former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on the orders of the special death squad formed by former US vice-president Dick Cheney, which had already killed the Lebanese Prime Minister Rafique Al Hariri and the army chief of that country.

The squad was headed by General Stanley McChrystal, the newly-appointed commander of US army in Afghanistan. It was disclosed by reputed US journalist Seymour Hersh while talking to an Arab TV in an interview.

Hersh said former US vice-president Cheney was the chief of the Joint Special Operation Command and he clear the way for the US by exterminating opponents through the unit and the CIA. General Stanley was the in-charge of the unit.

Seymour also said that Rafiq Al Hariri and the Lebanese army chief were murdered for not safeguarding the US interests and refusing US setting up military bases in Lebanon. Ariel Sharon, the then prime minister of Israel, was also a key man in the plot.

This seems to be a continuing delusion by Hersh, who is now attempting to flesh out said fantasies. Back in March 2009, Dennis Kucinich stated that he wanted House hearings to investigate claims by Hersh that there were death squads roaming the world under the direction of the Evil Darth Cheney assassinating people.

But then we get to John’s #4: Oh what a tangle web we weave…. Because Hersh is claiming that the story is untrue. I’d offer him the benefit of the doubt, but, we all know what happened here. A liberal said something outrageous, got caught, and is now claiming that the report was wrong and all you people who believed it are nuts. Similar to what happened with Obama and the bitter clingers comment.

And, of course, some Moonbats completely bought the story, then went, woops, my bad, I knew it all along.

My favorite part about this post is how you present this as a problem that exists only on the left. No, there aren’t any nutcases on the right. No one on the right ever makes outlandish claims. Right wing bloggers and writers never hit the ground running with completely baseless, unsubstantiated claims, which are soon after proven to be demonstrably false.

Teach, there are nuts all around us. That you think it happens solely, or even mostly, on the left is more an indication of your blinding partisanship than anything else.

  2. John Ryan says:

Teach this is really below your usual standard.

  3. John Ryan says:

Teach do you REALLY think that Hersh was quoted accurately ??

  4. I noticed that your forgot to mention one, Reasic. Why is that?

Of course there are nuts on the Right. And we tend to ignore or denigrate them, such as Ron Paul. On the flip side, y’all on the left tend to incorporate their talking points and put them on a pedestal.

Who knows, John. I would not put it past Hersh. At one time, he was a good, albeit left leaning, journalist. Over the past 8+ years, he has gone pretty wacko. This would not be out of line with previous sayings.
