Global Warming Today: Huh? It’s Been Cold?

Oh, of course, it must be weather, not climate (snicker)

NEW evidence has cast doubt on claims that the world’s ice-caps are melting, it emerged last night.

Ice levels which had shrunk from 13million sq km in January 2007 to just four million in October, are almost back to their original levels.

Figures show that there is nearly a third more ice in Antarctica than is usual for the time of year.

The data flies in the face of many current thinkers and will be seized on by climate change sceptics who deny that the world is undergoing global warming.

Eh. I’m pretty sure we were going through a warming period, but, things change. Temps go up, temps go down. What doesn’t change is the Climahysterics failure to live by their rhetoric.

….scientists say the northern hemisphere has endured its coldest winter in decades.

They add that snow cover across the area is at its greatest since 1966.

The one exception is Western Europe, which has – until the weekend when temperatures plunged to as low as -10C in some places – been basking in unseasonably warm weather. The UK has reported one of its warmest winters on record.

However, vast swathes of the world have suffered chaos because of some of the heaviest snowfalls in decades.

Woops. Guess the world is not going to end because a few liberals fly private jets to exotic vacation spots. Damn.

  1. John Ryan says:

Well Teach you have got part of it correct. Temps do go up and they do go down. However there is convincing proof that the earth is warmer now than it was, that we are in a warming trend over a long period of time.
Citing one news paper does which reports that this is the coldest winter in decades is hardly convincing proof of anything. Even if it is a newspaper that discribes iitself as “The Greatest newspaper in the World”
One other thing that never seems to change is the climatehysteric hysterics failure to cite sources (other than, scientists say). These “scientists” are they the same ones that say that God created the earth 10,000 years ago and allo f the animals in one day?
Also even YOU must realize that “the winter” is one of 4 seasons of the year and is not even over. Maybe ??? this winter will not be the coldest, and please try to remember the difference between percipitation (snow) and temps.
