Granted, we now have the 24 hour news cycle with inunmerable amouts of media outlets nowadays. News gets out at the speed of the Internet. Even so, why do we keep hearing about cases like this?
Carrboro — A teacher’s assistant with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro school system was arrested Wednesday and fired by the school board Thursday for allegedly taking advantage of a 13-year-old girl.
Travis Thompson, 39, is charged with taking indecent liberties with a child and indecent exposure. The incident took place at McDougle Middle School, according to police.
Now, having gone to East Carolina University, which has always been known as a teachers college (it was originally ECTC, East Carolina Teachers College), I knew many, many people who were looking to become teachers. Many of them did, and many still are. One of my best friends teaches kindergarden. Many of her siblings are teachers. All kudo's to them for the great jobs they do. Did I mention that most of them lean Conservative?
That said, the rampant liberalism in our public schools makes cases like the one above more and more prevelant

At Google News, teacher and sexual brings back 3, 361 hits. Teacher and minor almost 2,000 hits. Teacher and sex 4,247 hits.
Seriously, what the hell is going on in our schools?
