Still not getting it

From head loon, the Daily Kos:

Damn you, Newsweek!!!

Taking the lead of the White House—as all patriotic American boys and girls should do—C&J officially blames Newsweek for the following:

Droughts, floods and hailstorms. Fleas. The Cs, Ds and Fs I got in school. Computer freeze-up. Peeling paint. Graffiti. Potholes. My handwriting. Trolls. Clogged pipes and leaky basements. Zits, blackheads and Eczema. Base closures. Gas prices. Global warming and gout. Dust mites. Powerline, Instapundit, Little Green Footballs and anal leakage (sorry for the redundancy). The decline of western civilization…..(and so on)

The Left just does not get it. We saw the same thing with Rathergate. We see it now with Kerry promising to sign his 180’s. There is a disconnect between right and wrong. If it hurts Bush, they do not care whether something is wrong. If it hurts America and causes harm to Americans, it doesn’t matter to the Left if it wrong. If people are killed and injured, our troops and citizens are put in danger, such as what happened with Newsweak story, it doesn’t matter to the Left that the story was wrong.

Right is right, wrong is wrong. The Left can try and link the Newsweak fiasco with other issues, but just like with a serial murderer, responsibility for what happened rests on Newsweaks shoulders. They published a BS story, and people died. Among other things. The Left can start up their "Bush and Co. pressured Newsweak to retract the story" and "the story was wrong but he substance was right" crap. And they are no better then Newsweak, through allegations with no evidence.

John Hawkins at Right Wing News has more.

So summing it all up, Newsweek acted irresponsibly and it led to deaths. To try to shrug that off and put the onus on the Bush administration for Newsweek’s horrible mistake is absurd and you’d think a professional journalist like Bill Press would understand that better than most people.

Actually, they DO get it — they just honestly don’t care.

  2. Gribbit says:

Getting it and caring about it are two different things. Those idiots at KOS are just that. Idiots. Their sarcastic comparison to the critics of Newsweek just goes to show how FOS they actually are. It is obvious to all who can see that the news reports broadcast on television of these riots, that rioters had copies of Newsweek in their hands. But of course it was all the dream child of Karl Rove right?

Excellent Post William Teach. Welcome to the BlogBurst and the Protest The ACLU blog community portal.
