German Paper Warns Of Coming Ice Age

Like I’ve said many times, I’ll believe it when I see it. Eventually the Earth’s climate will flip back into a cool period (like it’s been doing back and forth since the end of the last glacial age), and, yes, there is the potential for going back into a true glacial age. Doesn’t mean that this current warm period, which is primarily caused by natural processes, will end shortly. Or, it might. Anyhow

(No Tricks Zone) Mentioning the lethal “100-year, record-smashing” spring cold and snow spreading across Europe over the past month has for the most part been avoided like the plague by Germany’s mainstream media. The silence over the record cold and frost, which has killed thousands and cost billions, has been ear-ringing.

Yet some leading dailies are breaking ranks, and have begun to examine the phenomenon critically and openly.

For example veteran journalist Ulli Kulke at German flagship daily Die Welt today has stunned the rest of the German mainstream media with a piece titled Scientists warn of ice age.

The information in the article is based on a peer-reviewed paper from two Russian scientists, who looked at the real world data and trends, as well as the solar processes, and say that this could lead to a climate similar to the Little Ice Age (PS for Warmists: it’s not just about sun spots, but the overall activity of the Sun along with its magnetism).

Again, to be clear, until it happens, it’s all conjecture. Just like the notion that this current warm period is caused by Mankind. Well, except that the climate does switch between warm and cool.

it would be hilarious.
Yet, what do you want to bet that the next ice age is figured in to how GLOBAL WARMING is expected to impact us?

teach’s kindle is causing global warming that led to the oncoming ice age and solar minimum.

tsk tsk

I never realized Die Welt had a ’70′s Flashback’ column.

Considering how much I use the Kindle and sync the books up between it and my Droid, meaning I have to charge it a lot, uses WiFi power, etc, Climate Change might just be my fault.

Teach could you tell us what “natural processes” you believe are causing the increase in temps?

(Careful Teach, he is trying to trick you. Don’t tell him our club’s secret that there are no natural processes. There never have been.)

I’ve been saying for years that warmer is better than colder and if we could we should try to warm up the planet a bit. Although I doubt we could if we tried.

I would suppose they would be the same natural processes that have lead the earth to always have variable climate such as the little ice age and the warm period of a scant few centuries ago.

Why do you think those same processes are no longer at work and why do you think we should be capable of naming them given the complete inability of the climate scientists to understand or predict anything about our climate at all? If we understood and could name those processes then we would not have to rely on idiots like Mann to try to muddle through in a state of nearly pristine ignorance.

As it is, we can only look at history and know that there is nothing extraordinary about our current temperatures and laugh at those who try to dummy up the data to make it look otherwise for purely pecuniary and ideological reasons… once again see Mann et al

So very true Thatch. And if we could just leave it at “laughing at them”, then we could. But, far too many people who control our money and our economies listen to them. They greater mental challenges than our current crop of media-hyped climate scientists. So, they listen, they preen, they dance, they huddle in fear of what they are told will happen 100 years from now.

This is the reason that people have to be elected on honesty and reason. When pols are elected based on promises, then you know that person has no single firing mental nerve ganglion capable of independent thought.

WHAT increase in temps? There’s been no statistically significant increase in global temperature for roughly 17 years, now.

Oh, sorry, that was impolite of me. I’m not supposed to mention facts, am I. Only “models,” “experts,” consensus,” and “Top. Men.”

How many of you also heard that Mars was experiencing a “warm period” right now? It was flash in the pan news. Gone in 30 seconds. Now, I am no scientist, but if two planets in the same solar system are observed to be experiencing the same temperature fluctuations while not having any real contact with each other, I am led to believe that humans have no discernible impact on global climate. The so-called scientists made sure to hide the medieval warm period because it went against their narrative. They couldn’t blame current warming on mankind if there was this glaring proof that it happened before without any industrialization to cause it. The whole thing is utterly ridiculous. It’s all part of the left’s unwavering mission to redistribute wealth by any and all means available. Carbon Credits anyone? My understanding on that is, since industrialized (ie. Wealthy) nations like the US spew out all this carbon every year and a country like The Congo doesn’t, then the US would “buy” carbon credit from The Congo in order to continue spewing out the same amount of carbon simply because The Congo isn’t. So rich country gives money to the poor country. Now if it were a scientifically proven problem that too much carbon is going into the atmosphere, how does this carbon credit thing actually help the environment? Speaking of environmental scare mongering, anybody remember the hole in the ozone layer that was going to kill us all? Whatever happened to that? We quit using CFC’s in spray cans and now it’s all healed? (face palm)

Hello REAL Brian,
Yeah, history has always been a problem for these members of the “Cult of Models”. It’s a big problem for their models as well. But then, when you have no idea what the data means, have no idea how the data is collected, have no idea how the data has been “massaged”, then you have no idea how to model that data.

Boston, be careful or you will be labeled anti-science by not following the cult.

Global Warming -

Michael Mann’s hockey stick, et al: the greatest scientific hoax since Piltdown Man.

That is why the leftists changed the name from global warming to climate change. Change will happen no matter what, and can go in many opposite directions, not just one, so they can now claim credit, and the need for their socialist remedies, no matter what happens. Lots of hurricaines, must be our fault, less hurricaines and drought, our fault. Hot and dry, our fault, heavy rains and floods, our fault, cold with lots of snow, our fault. And people not only beleive this non-falsifiable psuedoscientific drivel, but lecture us on how we are ignorant of science if we refuse to bow before it.

I have respect for people studying the sun, because they are physists, not just climate scientists, and they are held to account if their future predictions of solar actifity prove false. Same with meteoroligists, who are held accountable if it rains tomorrow when they said it would not. But these so called climate scientists, like Mann and those guys in england, and the leftists that cite them as the height of science, have repeatedly been caught faking their data, suppressing critical studies, making bogus predictions, putting out leftist propaganda disguised as science, and never been held to account for any of it. That is not science, that is astrology.

Ok, since john is not going to come back with a reasoned and sound rejoinder to your proclamations, allow me to do so in his stead:

“You must be a creationist and thus are not worthy to be listened to. By the way, the NAVY (always capitalized, don’t know why) believes that the climate will change. So there! I rest my case.”
