CNN Is Vexed That Republicans Cannot Get Out Of Their Own Bind Over Summer Weather

Why Republicans can’t get out of their climate bind, even as extreme heat overwhelms the US

Deadly heatwaves are baking the US. Scientists just reported that July will be the hottest month on record. And now, after years of skepticism and denial in the GOP ranks, a small number of Republicans are urging their party to get proactive on the climate crisis.

But the GOP is stuck in a climate bind – and likely will be for the next four years, in large part because they’re still living in the shadow of former president and 2024 Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.

Well, I wasn’t expecting Trump Derangement Syndrome. We shouldn’t be surprised, though

Even as more Republican politicians are joining the consensus that climate change is real and caused by humans, Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric has driven the party to the right on climate and extreme weather. Trump has called the extremely settled science of climate change a “hoax” and more recently suggested that the impacts of it “may affect us in 300 years.”

Scientists this week reported that this summer’s unrelenting heat wave would have been “virtually impossible” were it not for the planet-warming pollution from burning fossil fuels. They also confirmed that July will go down as the hottest month on record – and almost certainly that the planet’s temperature is hotter now than it has been in around 120,000 years.

Yet for being one of the most pressing issues of the 21st century, climate is rarely mentioned on the 2024 campaign trail.

Yeah, this is turning into mostly about Trump. But, look, let’s hypothetically agree that the current warming is in fact anthropogenic global warming, and it is mostly caused by Humanity, and CO2 is the control knob. Now what? If that’s the case, can the Warmists explain why all their policies revolve around increasing the power of government over out lives? Voluntarily giving up our freedoms to government? Allowing government to restrict our travel, telling us where we can live, what we can eat, what we can buy, what temperature we can keep our AC and heating at? Taking more and more of our money? What we can say, read, write, and think? Ending capitalism? Why are all their policies rather Fascistic? Authoritarian? Why are their policies never about increasing freedom, consumer choice, and limiting government authority?

When Republicans do weigh in on climate change – and what we should do about it – they tend to support the idea of capturing planet-warming pollution rather than cutting fossil fuels. But many are reticent to talk about how to solve the problem, and worry Trump is having a chilling effect on policies to combat climate within the party.

Why is CNN using vast amounts of fossil fuels and energy to gather and disseminate their version of the news? Why do so few Warmists give up their own use of fossil fuels? Give up meat? Live in tiny homes? And so forth? I enjoy this comment at the Yahoo News version

This is what weakens this country. When a political group decides on a policy, often based on faulty information,and then are reluctent to see compelling data as nothing more than political propaganda, they paint themselves into the proverbial corner and refuse to conceed. In some warped universe, they believe that capitulation, to the overwhelming scientific information,is a sign of weakness and not the intelligent option that it is. In digging in their heals, they are preventing progress and damaging the nation. Continuing the false narrative can only hurt America.

Yet, Warmists have decided on a policy to fix the scam issue, and it’s all about control. Weirdly, they’ve all been brainwashed to ignore that they will all be giving up their own money and freedom.

NBC News: It’s Impossible To Change Your Race

Inside the online world of people who think they can change their race

Since before she hit double digits, Alisa, 15, said she has felt a special connection with Japan. The high school student, who asked to be anonymous for fear of being doxxed online, was born in Ukraine and lives in Maryland, but she now goes by the Japanese name Miyuki and listens to “subliminals” that promise she will wake up and be Japanese. So far, she believes that by listening to YouTube videos with lo-fi music and photos of East Asian facial features while she sleeps, her vision has cleared, her eyelids have become smaller and her hair is just a bit darker.

Practitioners of what they call “race change to another,” or RCTA, purport to be able to manifest physical changes in their appearance and even their genetics to become a different race. They tune in to subliminal videos that claim can give them an “East Asian appearance” or “Korean DNA.”

But experts underscore that it is simply impossible to change your race.

“It’s just belief,” said Jamie Cohen, an assistant professor of cultural and media studies at Queens College, City University of New York. “It doesn’t ever really work, because it’s not doing anything, but they have convinced themselves that it works because there’s other people who have convinced themselves, as well.”

Impossible to change your race? Kinda like it’s impossible to change your sex? Remember, NBC, like so many in the Credentialed Media, lauded grifters like Rachel Dolezal Shawn King for a bit, until Activists decided this was “blackfishing“. Look, if it’s not OK to “identify” as another race, why is it OK to identify as another sex? Don’t expect an actual reasoned, literate, cogent, adult answer to that one.

Experts agree race is not genetic. But they contend that even though race is a cultural construct, it is impossible to change your race because of the systemic inequalities inherent to being born into a certain race.

Oh, good grief. There are three races, as called originally: Caucasoid, Mongoloid, and Negroid, with a small classification of Dravidians through the India region. Is this biology? Some will argue that it is, some will argue that it isn’t. Especially with all the inter-breeding over time. It’s definitely biological that some races are more susceptible to certain medical conditions. Regardless, we won’t solve this. But, if race is cultural construct, why can’t you change it. “Systemic inequalities?” Horseshit. Total copout answer. Gender is biological. You cannot change it. Even if you cut your tallywacker off and get breast implants and take all sorts of drugs, you are still a man.

Freund added that the idea of changing one’s race operates differently depending on a person’s racial background and that white people who seek to “transition” to other races can often sidestep the harms of racism.

Why, yes, the article, which is long, does continue to get wackier and wackier.

The intense fixation on and enamoration with East Asian traits and appearances has led some members of the East Asian community to criticize RCTA as fetishistic and harmful. Some scholars say it is another case of cultural appropriation, rather than appreciation. “Maybe this isn’t the way to respectfully engage with the culture,” Rhee said.

Instead of using words like that, just call them nuts. You may appreciate a culture, you may want to live the culture, but, you cannot be that race. But, everything is crazy these days, because there really are not big issues, like a world war or Cold War.

But, not one mention or consideration that this all applies to gender, as well.

Narrative Fail: Most Greek Wildfires Started By Arsonists

Most fires in Greece were started ‘by human hand’, government says

Most of the 667 fires that have erupted across Greece in recent weeks were started “by human hand”, the country’s senior climate crisis official has said.

As the Mediterranean country emerges from an unprecedented, 15-day period of heatwave-induced infernos, the scale of the destruction is finally being laid bare.

While weather conditions have been different from any other year – with experts calling the first three weeks of July the hottest on record – most of the fires could have been prevented, the government claimed on Friday.

Vassilis Kikilias, the Greek minister of climate crisis and civil protection, told reporters: “During this time 667 fires erupted, that is more than 60 fires a day, almost all over the country. Unfortunately, the majority were ignited by human hand, either by criminal negligence or intent.

So, people were causing them, either intentionally or unintentionally. Obviously, the climate cultists are attempting to make this the fault of ‘climate change’ even with this knowledge, just like they attempted to make it all Your Fault before having any knowledge

He added: “The difference with other years were the weather conditions. Climate change, which yielded a historic and unprecedented heatwave, is here. There were very few days where the extreme weather was not combined with strong winds.”

So, let’s say it was a cool year. People still set the fires. A slight uptick in the global temperatures over 170 years is meaningless, except in Cult World. Heatwaves happen, and have always happened. There were massive heatwaves in the 1930’s. But, now there’s more buildings and infrastructure. There are more eco-loons who stop government from creating fire breaks and wilderness management, from clearing out dead brush.

The next three paragraphs of the article are on ‘climate change’, with the final two being rather important information on people killed by the arson, and people fleeing the arson. But, that information is unimportant to the cult.

Justice Alito To Whiny Congressional Democrats: Stay In Your Lane

In case you’ve missed it, wackadoodle Congressional Democrats and all their little minion have been whining about the Supreme Court and Demanding a code of ethics and other stuff (though, they didn’t say anything about Sotomayor’s sweetheart deals and such)

Justice Samuel Alito says Congress lacks the power to impose a code of ethics on the Supreme Court, making him the first member of the court to take a public stand against proposals in Congress to toughen ethics rules for justices in response to increased scrutiny of their activities beyond the bench.

“I know this is a controversial view, but I’m willing to say it. No provision in the Constitution gives them the authority to regulate the Supreme Court—period,” Alito said in an interview he gave to the Wall Street Journal opinion pages. An account of the interview, which the paper said took place in New York in early July, was published Friday.

Democrats last week pushed Supreme Court ethics legislation through a Senate committee, though the bill’s prospects in the full Senate are dim.

Look, the courts have their own code of ethics, but, if Congress is allowed to regulate SCOTUS, then they are no longer an independent branch of the federal government. There are checks and balances, there are ways to deal with serious criminal violations, but, the Court does not answer to Congress, especially partisan boobs attempting to create an issue where one doesn’t exist because the Court is very much Conservative leaning.

Since a goodly chunk of the Congress critters slurring Alito are lawyers, you’d think they’d know this. They do, but they do not care, nor do many of the peons having snit fits. Like AOC, who says Alito is calling himself a king, but should probably focus on her own ethics violations.

Large Portion Of Millennials Think People Should Be Charged Criminally For Misgendering

How often do you actually use pronouns when interacting with someone? Do you call them by their name instead? It is a very, very silly time in history

Poll: Millennials Say ‘Misgendering’ Should Be a Crime, Gen Z Disagrees

A strong percentage of millennial Americans (ages 25-34) are in favor of catering to the whims of sex-confused individuals by making adherence to biological reality in language a criminal offense, new polling conducted for Newsweek found.

In left-wing terms, 44 percent of millennials think “referring to someone by the wrong gender pronoun (he/him, she/her) should be a criminal offense.” The official term is “misgendering,” which gender ideology enthusiasts define as using pronouns that misalign with the identity of a person who believes they are transgender. For example, within this framework, it would be considered “misgendering” to call a man “he/him” if he identifies as a woman and demands to be called “she/her.”

Thirty-one percent of millennials in the survey reject the idea of making “misgendering” a criminal offense, and the remainder “neither agree nor disagree” or “don’t know.”

“This view remains popular for those aged 35-44, among whom 38 percent think misgendering should be illegal, whilst 35 percent disagree and 26 percent either don’t know or didn’t express an opinion,” according to Newsweek.

Can we get 85% of Boomers and Gen X to agree that anyone who loses their minds over the itty bitty issue of misgendering should be given 30 hours of community service, and that service should be all about manual labor? Digging ditches, cleaning up garbage, painting, etc, and restricted from using their smartphones until the community service is completed.

Anyhow, Gen Z, which is more and more accepting that there are only two genders, drops down to 33% believing it should be criminalized. Which is still too much. The number should be zero. They’re just words, there’s no threat.

Ultimately, Americans as a whole overwhelmingly reject the idea of making “misgendering” a criminal offense. Sixty-five percent disagree with making it a criminal offense, 19 percent agree, 12 percent neither agree nor disagree, and four percent “don’t know.”

So, overall, 19% are raving wackjobs who are too sensitive to be in public. It’s fine when a child does it, they have no filter and no emotional control, not an adult. Well, not necessarily fine, it’s annoying when a kids loses it in public, but, it’s understandable. Of course, to Leftists, and Millennials, words literally are violence.

The era of global warming has ended and “the era of global boiling has arrived”, the UN secretary general, António Guterres, has said after scientists confirmed July was on track to be the world’s hottest month on record.

“Climate change is here. It is terrifying. And it is just the beginning,” Guterres said. “It is still possible to limit global temperature rise to 1.5C [above pre-industrial levels], and avoid the very worst of climate change. But only with dramatic, immediate climate action.”

“Humanity is in the hot seat,” Guterres told a press conference on Thursday. “For vast parts of North America, Asia, Africa and Europe, it is a cruel summer. For the entire planet, it is a disaster. And for scientists, it is unequivocal – humans are to blame.

Of course they want all fossil fuel production ended, but, then, how would the climate cult elites like Guterres travel around the world in their private jets?

Excitable Kamala Admits Bidenomics Isn’t Working

Harris slammed for saying most can’t afford a $400 surprise expense: ‘Yeah, that’s called Bidenomics’

Vice President Kamala Harris was blasted on social media over a claim that most Americans would go “bankrupt” from an unexpected $400 expense while she was lamenting how difficult it is for women in America to get abortions.

While speaking at a moderated discussion on “reproductive rights” in Iowa on Friday, Harris spoke at length about how women in Iowa will endure economic hardship traveling to other states for a legal abortion post-Roe v. Wade if a court allows a state abortion bill to take effect.

“If she is a single parent, she’s going to have to be able to pay for that childcare,” Harris said. “She’s going to lose time for work. Maybe she has paid family leave. Maybe she doesn’t. Maybe she has paid sick leave. Maybe she doesn’t. She will have to be able to pay for a plane, train, bus, gas. Most Americans are a $400 unexpected expense away from bankruptcy.”

The quote was immediately criticized by conservatives on social media who suggested that any economic hardship for the average American is a result of President Biden’s policies after more than two years in office.

“Yeah, that’s called Bidenomics and it’s a problem,” GOP presidential candidate Sen. Tim Scott responded. “Americans have lost $10,000 in spending power because of the Biden-Harris agenda.”

Biden-Harris have been in office for two and a half years, and, so far inflation had raged, prices have gone up on food and goods, energy has skyrocketed, and, who gets hurt the most? The middle and working classes. Those who are getting millions making deals with China and Ukraine by using their political positions aren’t bothered at all.

It really is what they want. If you haven’t been paying attention the Progressives want everyone beholden to government. Then government takes care of them and they vote Democrat. It’s a vicious cycle.
