A social media mob successfully persuades Harvard to rescind the admission of a conservative Parkland survivor.

Harvard University has rescinded its offer of admission to Kyle Kashuv, a Parkland survivor and conservative teen activist due to racist comments he made several years ago in group chats with other Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School students.

Yeah, the left went after him because of his Wrongthink. And, there are some other examples, but, not a lot, and you really do not get the cancelling over death threats from the Right, because there just aren’t that many. Cancel culture has run rampant on the Left, even against their own, and now they’re getting a taste of it from the right

People are getting fired for allegedly celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder. It looks like a coordinated effort

Dozens of social media posts and messages about the murder of Charlie Kirk, including some that celebrated his death, are being spotlighted by conservative activists, Republican elected officials and a doxxing website as part of an online campaign to punish the posters behind the messages.

Prominent far-right influencer Laura Loomer, a US senator, and a site called “Expose Charlie’s Murderers” have all drawn attention to people who have posted messages about Kirk’s Wednesday assassination.

The campaigns show how social media posts or personal messages — even by accounts with few followers or from people who are not public figures — could easily be surfaced and publicized, and people’s personal information can be spread across the internet at a time when doxxing is easier than ever.

The Charlie’s Murderers site, whose domain was registered anonymously and which says it is not a doxxing site, claims it has “received nearly 30,000 submissions,” according to a message on the site’s front page on midday Saturday. Currently, there are a few dozen submissions published on the site. “This website will soon be converted into a searchable database of all 30,000 submissions, filterable by general location and job industry. This is a permanent and continuously-updating archive of Radical activists calling for violence.”

I mean, Loomer is a nutball, but, these posts are not “alleged”: they’re real.

Heartache: EPA To End Rule Requiring Companies To Report Their CO2 Emissions

EPA to scrap greenhouse gas reporting for companies, including many in San Diego region

The federal Environmental Protection Agency has proposed ending a rule that requires businesses to report greenhouse gas emissions.

Thousands of oil refineries, coal and natural gas burning power plants, landfills and other facilities would no longer have to report how much they pollute if the agency moves forward with the change. In San Diego and Imperial counties, more than two dozen companies would no longer be subject to the reporting requirement.

“The (program) is nothing more than bureaucratic red tape that does nothing to improve air quality,” EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said in a press release. (snip)

The agency said the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program, which has been active since 2010, has been “burdensome” to businesses. The program requires large emission sources, those that produce over 25,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide a year, to report their emissions yearly. The database accounts for 50% of emissions in the U.S. according to the EPA website.

Zeldin said ending the rule would save businesses $2.4 billion dollars in regulatory costs.

The agency also said it would postpone data collection for petroleum and natural gas production until 2034, pushing back a requirement under President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.

This is a good idea. The EPA should, instead, spend time on actual air pollutants like the Environmental Protection Act says, not the mythical carbon pollution. Hassle companies that actually pollute the air.

If All You See…

The blog of the day is Green Jihad, with a post on the Charlie Kirk assassin potentially being a Zizian cult member.

Are things running slightly better? I’ve turned off a bunch of unnecessary plugins, got ridden of a few. The plugin I used for creating folders for internal photos has been deactivate and replaced with Filebird, since every time I tried to use it I would get “connection lost”. I’m still getting connection losts” while writing posts, but, they tend to be quick. I haven’t gotten an offline email in a few days. And the number of bots has dramatically gone done, only getting about 5-10 emails per hour, not seeing the server go above 1GB (2 is the limit, there were times it was spiking to 6). Weirdly, when I see these little connection losts here I am not seeing it at my development site.

If you leave a comment and get a 503, the server still seems to be saving your comment. Another weird thing is that nothing will autopost. Whatever I write and set I still have to go back in and hit update to post. But, I’ll keep trying.

NY Times Seems Unclear On Messages Charlie Kirk Assassin Left Behind

The Police Found Messages After Kirk’s Killing. What They Mean Is Unclear.

When investigators in the killing of Charlie Kirk found a bolt-action rifle near the site where he was shot on a Utah campus, they said they also found casings scrawled with what seemed to be mysterious messages.

One read, “hey fascist! CATCH! (up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol, and three down arrow symbols),” according to an affidavit filed on Friday in a Utah court.

If the reference to fascism appeared to be straightforward, the arrows were most likely understandable only to certain subsets of gamers. They seem to refer to the popular video game Helldivers 2 and its sequence of controller moves to unleash a powerful bomb.

“It’s a joke in the Helldivers community that you can shut down any argument you disagree with by entering ^ > vvv and blowing the whole thing up,” Steve Iannelli, 38, a mechanical engineer and experienced player of the game who lives in Baltimore, said in an email.

So……the meaning is pretty damned clear to everyone else but the three NY Times idiots who wrote this. Did they also write the headline, or, was that an editor? Maybe they’re just trying to avoid mentioning that Democrats, from elected to the chattering class to the peasants, led by Credentialed Media outlets like the NY Times, have been calling Trump and anyone around him Fascists?

The messages found on the casings — including puerile jokes and a reference to a popular Italian song — are rooted in that coded communication style of the habitually online.

Even the reference to fascism has a clear echo in Helldivers 2, a satirical science fiction game in which the player battles an alien invasion on behalf of an Earth that is ruled by a thinly veiled fascistic government.

Nice try. Robinson simply used messages from online in the same way people repeat lines from TV shows and movies. I use many in real life, like, “don’t want none, don’t start none” from The Losers. “If ifs and buts were candies and nuts we’d all have a great Christmas” from Wings. “People aren’t wearing enough hats” from Monty Python’s Meaning Of Life. And others. Those of us who live in Reality Land know exactly what the Fascist message means

But these messages are difficult to parse. Internet in-jokes and references are slippery things, often deployed with multiple layers of irony. That left many Americans trying to crack the enigmatic messages: Was Mr. Robinson a man of the left or of the right, or something else entirely?

In a news conference on Friday morning, Gov. Spencer Cox of Utah, a Republican, said that the phrase “hey fascist! CATCH!” clearly showed the gunman’s intent. “I think that speaks for itself,” he said.

But even that message, which many on the right believed placed Mr. Robinson on the far left, may not be a reliable signpost to the suspect’s political beliefs.

They’re really trying this?

Mr. Rivera said he did not know whether Mr. Robinson had political views. According to the affidavit, investigators interviewed one of his family members, who said that Mr. Robinson had “become more political in recent years.”

They forgot to mention

(UK Independent) Robinson reportedly expressed negative views of Kirk and had spoken with a family member the day before the shooting “who also stated Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate,” Cox said

Why’d the Times forget that?

Then there was the message that read, “O Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Ciao, ciao!,” likely a reference to the popular Italian folk song “Bella Ciao.” Popularized as an antifascist anthem in Italy after World War II, it resurfaced globally in recent years because of its inclusion in the hit Netflix series “Money Heist” and in video games, including the first-person shooter game Far Cry 6.

The song is still well-known as antifascist. It was sung as a protest last year by progressive members of the European Parliament during a visit by Viktor Orban, Hungary’s far-right prime minister.

Yeah yeah yeah, the leftards have been calling themselves anti-Fascists since the 1st Trump term. The message is clear. Except in Liberal World. If the big shots in the Dem party are going to call Trump and all Republicans Fascists, Nazis, etc, and say that “Democracy Is On The Line!!!!” constantly, you’re going to get results.

EU Nations Having Trouble Settling On A Climate (scam) Deal

EU countries delay deal on new climate goal, diplomats say

European Union countries have shelved plans to approve a new climate change target next week, after pushback from governments including France and Germany over plans to quickly land a deal, three EU diplomats told Reuters on Friday.

Countries are discussing a legally-binding target to cut net EU greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040, from 1990 levels – with a share of this covered by buying foreign carbon credits.

The European Commission has said this would offer investors certainty and keep Europe on track for net zero emissions by 2050. Climate change has made Europe the world’s fastest-warming continent, unleashing deadly heatwaves and record-breaking wildfires.

Really? I thought that was Antarctica? Or was it Asia? Or the Arctic?

But EU governments are divided over how ambitious to be in tackling global warming, as governments also try to increase defence spending and support struggling industries.

EU ministers had planned to approve the 2040 climate change target on September 18. However, EU countries’ ambassadors cancelled that plan in a meeting on Friday, three EU diplomats said.

Are they struggling because of the already insane scam rules and regulations? I wonder how the actual citizens of the EU feel about this. Do the Elites care?

Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands are among the countries backing the 90% emissions-cutting target, diplomats said.

Countries including France, Poland and Italy have pushed back on the proposed goal, and demanded it be escalated to heads of government – who next meet in October.

You know, I’m starting to think that this whole EU thing might have been a mistake, when it was really about making trade easier at the beginning. Mission creep.

Trump’s Next Anti-Crime Target? Memphis

Chicago is a mess, but, it’s just too dangerous for Trump to send in ICE and the National Guard. No reason to get into a war, and, really, if Chicago wants to have all that crime and shootings, let them.

Trump says National Guard deploying to Memphis, Tennessee, next amid anti-crime push

President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he would be deploying the National Guard to Memphis, Tenn., next as he continues his anti-crime initiative.

The president made the announcement during an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” adding that the deployment would not be limited to the National Guard and could include the Army if needed.

“Memphis is deeply troubled,” Trump said. “We’re gonna fix that just like we did Washington.”

Trump admitted that he would have “preferred going to Chicago.” The Trump administration has recently clashed with Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson over possible National Guard deployment to the Windy City.

Trump told “Fox & Friends” that both Memphis Mayor Paul Young, a Democrat, and Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, a Republican, were on board with the plan to have the National Guard sent to what’s known as the Bluff City.

There was a lot of talk about the crime rate is at a 25 year low

Overall crime is at a 25-year low, with robbery, burglary, and larceny also reaching 25-year lows. Murder is at a six-year low, aggravated assault at a five-year low, and sexual assault at a twenty-year low.

These declines reflect focused strategies and collaboration. In recent years, MPD has launched initiatives focused on fugitives, violent repeat offenders, auto theft, and traffic enforcement, while strengthening partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies.

That’s good, but, the crime is still absurdly high. Neighborhood Scout ranks them a zero, meaning they are safer than 0% of other US cities (100 is best). There aren’t that many zeros. The violent crime rate is 26.05. The national median is 4. You have a 1 in 38 chance of being a victim. Property crime is 86.85, with the national median being 19. A 1 in 12 chance of being a victim. Hope you don’t like having possession of your car. Or being attached to your stuff.

Blue states shunned the National Guard. Tennessee governor is taking a different approach.

And Memphis may just be the start — GOP governors have shown a willingness to lean on the Guard to aid in crime fighting and deportation efforts. Before it was declared the next target on Friday, Trump had suggested he would dispatch the Guard to New Orleans — which GOP Gov. Jeff Landry celebrated. Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders this week detailed the Guard to assist in immigration enforcement in Little Rock and Fayetteville. In Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott has routinely sent the Guard to police the border, and in June authorized 5,000 troops in anticipation of protests against deportation raids.

Tennessee Republicans view the entrance of the Guard in their state as an opportunity to sharpen their attacks on Democrats over crime, an issue that remains one of the GOP’s biggest strengths.

“Why these blue state governors would act like dumbasses and not welcome the federal help to reduce the crime for their own citizens is beyond me,” said Tennessee Sen. Brent Taylor, a Memphis-area Republican who has long requested federal intervention in his city. “When it comes to the crime issue, blue state governors are as useless as a milk bucket under a bull.”

Let’s not forget that Memphis is a Democrat run city in a GOP state. Memphis has had only one Republican mayor (briefly) since 1968. In fairness, current Memphis Mayor Paul Young is still a little squishy, but, he’s a far sight better than most of his Democrat brethren, especially since he has been hearing from Memphis residents. And he may very consider that reducing crime is a good thing, even if it means working with Trump.

This could also be dangerous, because there are lots of gangs, at least 48, including Bloods, Crips, Gangster Disciples, Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), and Vice Lords. And a newer one, AOB (All Off the Blade), which is even more violent than MS-13.

Warmist Sees Boat Advertising At Beach, Calls It Dystopian

Beachgoer sparks outrage with photo of shocking sight just offshore: ‘This is peak dystopian’

A beachgoer took to Reddit to post an infuriating scene, as their peaceful seaside trip was interrupted by an unexpected intrusion.

Posting in the r/anticonsumption subreddit, they shared a picture of a pretty typical beachside view, save for one thing — the massive advertising board in the middle of the ocean.

“I’m used to the usual airplane banners, but it seems now you can’t even enjoy watching the ocean without being advertised to…” they said in the caption. The large LED billboard appears to be atop some sort of floating structure, and is currently touting a local bar or nightclub.

Well, yeah, I hate it. I always hated those planes flying the banners at the Jersey Shore. Heck, any boat that came too close into the shore when trying to surf. They don’t say where it is, though. I obviously cannot say for sure, because there are plenty of companies that offer this, but, it does look like these boats used in south Florida, though the beach itself reminds me more of Maryland.

Advertising has become more and more an inescapable part of our modern lives. From billboards on trucks to gas station ad screens to real estate billboards outside homes, ads are becoming practically inescapable. With the explosion in LED technology, they’re also becoming brighter and larger than ever.

But this particular billboard might be the most egregious of the bunch. Apart from the energy needed to power it, putting an LED board on a platform in the middle of the ocean could wind up being an environmental hazard. LEDs are frequently made from materials that are difficult to recycle under the best of circumstances, much less after months of exposure to the harsh, salty sea air of the ocean. And if the platform, the power source, or the board itself is damaged in a storm, you could expose the undersea ecosystem to the chemicals stored inside the batteries.

Wait, the batteries could be bad for the ocean? Huh. (EVs)

“This is peak dystopian,” said one. “Get this banned before this is all you see on the horizon. So us folks get to see this while the rich enjoy free nature on their private islands. Get this banned now.”

I won’t say dystopian, but, I hate them. They have to come close enough to shore to be able to read them. Those plane banners are huge. Look how close these are for an NJ company.

“Remember,” said another. “We can’t have renewable windenergy because it would block rich people’s views, but you also can’t have views if you go to a public beach.”

That says more about the rich folks pushing “green” energy for everyone else but do not want their views ruined.

Not to mention the unnecessary burning of fossil fuels and damage to the climate from something so unneeded.

Sigh. There’s really nothing they can’t insert their doomsday cult into.

Suspect Reportedly Arrested In Assassination Of Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk’s suspected assassin captured after fatal shooting of influential conservative voice in Utah

Police have arrested a suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk on a Utah college campus earlier this week.

Kirk, a 31-year-old father of two, was sitting under a tent around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, debating with students on hot-button current affairs issues, when a single shot rang out. Video from the scene shows him struck in the neck before he slumped out of his chair.

“I think with a high-degree of certainty, we have him,” President Donald Trump revealed on Fox & Friends Friday morning. He added that, “essentially, someone who knew him turned him in.”

Trump did not provide the name of the suspect, nor the name of who turned the suspect in.

Of course, this won’t stop the loonies on Credentialed Media from blaming Charlie and Republicans for a Democrat shooting Charlie because his skirt was too short

What is a bolt action rifle? What we know about the gun used to kill Charlie Kirk

The gun recovered by authorities in the assassination of Charlie Kirk was a bolt-action rifle — a common hunting weapon valued for its reliability but limited to a single shot before reloading.

Unlike a semiautomatic, the shooter must manually operate the bolt handle to cycle the weapon: lifting and pulling it back moves the spent cartridge, while pushing it forward chambers a new round from the magazine. Lowering the bolt locks the round and seals the chamber, making the rifle ready to fire again — a simple, durable design that has kept it popular among hunters and target shooters.

“This process limits the rate of fire, you can only take one shot at a time,” explained retired Marine Lt. Col. Hal Kempfer in an interview with Fox News Digital.

Well, technically, you can only take one shot at a time with an AR-15 or other “assault rifles” which are semi-automatic. Bolt action are much better for long range shots, as they do not cycle with every pull of the trigger. That’s why most snipers use bolt action. Of course, this doesn’t stop the lunatics from blaming the guns

She’s by no means alone in this. They’re still calling for gun control, even after finding out it was a bolt action rifle. Because they do want the Australian solution, where guns are mostly banned, even hunting rifles. All while the same people will be allowed to be protected by armed security.

State Department warns it will revoke visas of foreigners who ‘glorify violence’ after Kirk shooting

The State Department will be monitoring the words of foreign nationals who “glorify violence” after the Charlie Kirk shooting and take “appropriate action.”

“In light of yesterday’s horrific assassination of a leading political figure, I want to underscore that foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country,” Deputy Secretary of State Chris Landau wrote on X.

“I have been disgusted to see some on social media praising, rationalizing, or making light of the event, and have directed our consular officials to undertake appropriate action. Please feel free to bring such comments by foreigners to my attention so that the @StateDept can protect the American people.”

And, even though the State Department has full authority to do this, wackjob left wing judges will rule against revoking visas for foreigners.

In 2012, spring in the Midwest warmed up early. Corn farmers planted their crops ahead of schedule, and the growing season looked promising.

But then in May and June, almost no rain fell. The extremely dry conditions stunted plant growth and devastated crop yields.

Ford: “By the time we got to mid-July, it was a really dire situation. … So that’s just a matter of maybe six weeks or so where we go from, ‘Yeah, everything’s good,’ to ‘We’re really in trouble.’”

Trent Ford, the Illinois state climatologist, says what happened in 2012 is called a flash drought.

It’s when a lack of rain, paired with hot temperatures that boost evaporation from soils, creates drought conditions that intensify quickly.

As the climate warms, flash droughts are growing more common in many areas – even in places like the Midwest that are also seeing more heavy downpours.

So, just short term droughts that come on quickly and then go away

Ford: “And then we’ve also had some recent flash droughts in the southeast U.S., parts of Tennessee, Carolinas. … That area, of course, is very heavily vegetated, and when it dries out, it creates a lot of fuel for wildfires.”

So although flash droughts may be shorter-lived than the prolonged droughts that plague the Western U.S. and other very dry regions, they can cause major damage.

Will this notion of flash droughts catch on in the Credentialed Media as a doomsday talking point, replacing permanent drought? Time will tell.
